Warmed that Battery shared something her mother had done for him years ago when he was young and always looking for a meal, Bree nodded. Usually, he stayed quiet about anything having to do with Pine Bar and Grill, but she understood how those memories were not easy for him.

Raelyn smiled and shrugged, stopping short of hugging Bree. "I think I have everything, so I'll get out of the way. Thanks again."

Bree leaned her head against Battery. "See you, girl."

"Drive safe," added Battery.

Together they watched Raelyn drive off the property. Bree turned and plastered herself against Battery's chest. There were still several Ronacks members in the house, and she wasn't ready to go inside and share Battery. She hadn't been alone with him all day.

His brows rose, and she watched as the stiffness of the long day and busy evening went out of his spine. He swayed with her in his arms, and she put her hands on his stomach. “You care if I take a quick swim before we go inside. We're going to be losing the warm weather soon, and I want to enjoy the pond as long as I can before it freezes over for the winter.

"I'll walk you to the pond." He kissed her.

When his mouth left hers, she whispered, “You're good with the baby.”

“Because of you, I've had practice,” he said.

"I can't believe you went there." She laughed.

Bending over, he scooped her up in his arms. She shrieked in laughter, holding onto his neck as he walked toward the water. "Oh, I see how it is. You're only carrying me because you want a blow job."

"I'd never turn down a twenty-two-year-old woman who was offering," he said, amusement thick in his voice.

She kissed him hard. "I better not find any other women offering you one."

He grunted.

She sighed in contentment.

Battery had worked through the many roles he'd played in her life. From protector to guardian to lover and three months ago, he'd put a ring on her finger and had Swiss marry them on the dock. It was the highlight of her life.

The man who'd loved her for a lifetime was finally hers, and he promised never to let her go.

Her wedding day was also when she found out Swiss's nickname was short for Swiss Army knife for his multiple talents of doctoring, marrying, and birthing— which happened when Raelyn's water broke while at the house, and Swiss took her to the hospital.

The dock swayed with each of Battery's steps. At the end of the walkway, he set her on her feet and pulled her shirt over her head. She unbuttoned her shorts and shimmied out of her clothes.

Looking over her shoulder, she said, "Aren't you going swimming?"

He shook his head, eyeing her ass. "I'll watch and enjoy the view."

Warmth filled her, and she dove into the crisp, cool water and swam out to the middle of the pond. She came up for air and turned toward the dock and tread water. As promised, Battery watched her. Hands deep in his pockets, boots planted on the deck, head cocked to the side. At her distance, she couldn't read his expression behind his beard.

Rolling onto her back, she floated, softly kicking her feet to propel her toward the dock. The sun set over the mountain peak casting an orange glow to the sky. Tomorrow, she'd wake up and look forward to another day with the man who claimed her heart from the beginning.

She tilted her head, found Battery looking down at her naked body, and the cool water no longer seemed chilly. Keeping her float, she raised both her arms toward him.

He grasped her wrists and hauled her out of the water until her butt hit the dock. He squatted behind her and gathered her hair, wringing it out.

"Can I ask you something?" she said.

"Yeah."

"Have you ever thought of putting a balcony upstairs off our bedroom with a staircase going down to the backyard of the house?" She picked up her shirt, slipped it over her head, and stood.

He remained silent, lending his hand for her to balance while she pulled her panties and shorts over her hips.

"I've been thinking, for nights like this when we're out here swimming, and there are club members inside on the main floor, it'd be a lot faster if I could run to the back of the house naked without getting dressed." She buttoned her shorts and grinned. "It'd mean we reach the bed that much sooner and I wouldn't have to get undressed again."

He hooked her neck, pulled her against his side, and walked her off the dock. "Not on your life."

"Why not?"

He leaned over and kissed her head. "One—I'm not going to have you parading through the yard naked where any other man can see what is mine. Two—I like taking your clothes off."

She exhaled on a hum. "There is that."

It took them ten minutes to walk through the downstairs and escape the bikers. By the time they hit the bedroom, Battery had his clothes off and reached for her. She scrambled out of her panties as he lifted her off her feet and tossed her onto the bed with him landing softly above her.

He braced his weight and captured her mouth. She wiggled her shirt up to her neck, broke the kiss, and yanked the offending material off her head.

“I want you inside of me."

“Don’t want to be anywhere else," he said.

She managed to smile through the arousal hitting her hard. Her pussy throbbed, and she pressed against his hardness. “I love you.”

“Love you back, carny-girl,” he whispered.

He ran his cheek against hers. She shivered at the rough caress of his beard. He rubbed his hand over her belly and up to her breast. Her nipples peaked, and he lowered his head and put his mouth on her, drawing the hard bead against his tongue.

She thrust her hand into his hair and closed her eyes. Pleasure warmed her chilled body, and her legs widened. She hooked her feet behind his calves and arched her back as he drew her into his mouth, savoring, licking, sucking.

Reaching down with her free hand, she trailed her fingernails over his side, and he shifted his hips, plunging his cock inside of her. He rocked back and forth, lifting his head and looking at her.

"Always mine.” The strength in his voice, thick and filled with emotion, caressed her.

“’Kay.” She agreed because that's all she'd ever wanted. She'd be his for the rest of her life.

Then he slid his hand between her legs, and his long, broad finger circled her clit. He latched onto her nipple, sucking, stroking her with his tongue. She arched off the mattress at the deep pull that shot straight to her pussy. She moaned, grabbing his hair, holding on.

He slid in and out of her, never stopping the soft, lazy circles he made with his finger. Emotionally open and loving him, she spiraled out of control as everything Battery gave to her hit at once. She was going to orgasm in her desperate need to stay connected with him.

He removed his mouth and his hand. She whimpered and tugged his hair.

“Together, Bree. Don’t come without me,” he said.

He grabbed the backs of her knees and pulled her legs up, spreading her more. She hooked her ankles around his waist. His weight came down. He slid into her, so hard, so heavy, and so pleasurable.

She leaned forward on the path of losing and coming. "Battery?”

He moved. Back and forth. Fast and steady. She lifted her upper body, and kissed him. Her tongue clashed with his, and he ground his pelvis against her clit with each stroke of his cock.

He sped up, taking and giving, needing her as much as she needed him. She scrambled to get closer, almost frantic, reaching to ease the rush he created. He growled in her mouth, and the vibration was enough to push her over the edge. Every cell in her body exploded, and she hung on to his hair and constricted underneath him. Loving every deep pulse rebounding in her lower stomach.

He tore his mouth away from hers and threw his head back, groaning his release.

She came down from the orgasm gently with the help of soft, long strokes of his cock. She unwound and smiled lazily up at him. She rubbed her hands across his chest, amazed at the strength and fortitude of one man. One dedicated and honorable man. He was her man. Stubborn, strong, and entirely too possessive. He was perfect for her.

He rolled off her, bringing her with him to his side. She snuggled down on his chest, laying her cheek against the beating of his racing heart.

"That was wonderful," she whispered.

"Rest up, and we can do it again," said Battery, tapping her ass with the palm of his hand.

"Yeah?" She smiled. "What will we do next time?"

"Your choice."

"Hm." She lifted her head and traced his lower lip with her finger, an idea sparking her interest fast. "You could give me oral sex...or something."

"...or something." He chuckled and tucked her in closer to his body.

Never letting her go.

Dear readers —

Thank you so much for reading ...or something. Whew! This book was a long time coming. I wrote it, sat on it, published the Red Light: Silver Girls series, and then came back to ...or something and decided it was the right time to give it to the readers out in the world.

As I sat behind my computer screen and gave you the cover and blurb, I knew instantly that readers would zone in on the fact that Bree is sixteen when the book starts. I'll be honest and me, being me, smiled at your discomfort. Those who know me, have read my books, understand that when I bring you bikers, felons, and prostitutes, I'm not doing it for shock value. I try my hardest to give you a story you can believe. A relationship you can feel. And, a love you can understand even if it's different than yours.

Alrighty, let's get to the good stuff.

What's my next book about? Bikers!

I'd like to invite all of you to follow me on Facebook and visit my website to keep up on my books, my writing, and how I keep myself entertained.

Love,

Deb

Chapter One

R
oni turned the faucet on until her minty spit circled the drain and cleared the sink. She ran her tongue over her front teeth, assured the taste of latex was finally gone. The job to rid her mouth of any foreign taste had only taken her three brushings, two swishings, and—she popped a wintergreen Lifesaver in her mouth—one mint. At least until the next customer finished with her and the routine started all over again.

The crunch of breath freshener between her teeth gave her something to concentrate on while she ignored the crick in her neck. She put a new rubber-backed throw rug on the end of her bed. The rules at Red Light Bordello surprised her.

Yesterday when Tiff, the madam of the illegal establishment in Federal, Idaho, gave her and the other three ladies from the prostitution Network their orientation, she realized how nice it was to work in a clean, organized building where everyone associated with the bordello treated her with respect.

Everything had its place and clothes stayed on the visiting customers, no matter the sexual request. Roni swallowed the tiny bits of mint left in her mouth, sat down in the chair, and looked at the clock. She still had five minutes until Tiff escorted the final customer of the night through the yellow door to her room.

She raised her hands and rubbed the back of her neck. Colored doors were also a new thing to her. The other three bordellos she'd worked at since signing up with the Network used a sign on each door to keep track of what lady performed which sexual favor.
