Power Play
Brand-new sports agent Darcie Kildare knows
her way around a contract. But football? She’s still got a lot to
learn. And she definitely isn’t ready for a chance encounter with
quarterback Wyatt Bourne, known as “the Surgeon” for his precision
passing, cutting humor, and rampant god complex. After completely
embarrassing herself, and being mocked for her efforts, she only
hopes she never sees the gorgeous hunk again. Except of course in
her most private fantasies . . .
Wyatt doesn’t need an agent. In fact, he
doesn’t need anyone, much less an ambitious babe with a hot body
and a smart mouth. Even worse, her agency represents the Triple
Threat—Wyatt’s bitterest rivals—a fact she gleefully rubs in his
face every chance she gets.
Darcie doesn’t actually mean to taunt him,
but she owes him a zinger or two, doesn’t she? Plus, it’s so darned
much fun. And he’s having fun too. She can see that in the steely
eyes that turn cobalt at a moment’s notice. Something is happening
between them. Something neither of them ever felt before. Something
Darcie has dreamed of her entire life.
But the Surgeon has spent a lifetime making
sure it never happens to him. And as Darcie discovers too late, he
really is the best at what he does.
The Gower & Saxon
Books
And don’t miss Kate’s
Gower & Saxon
romantic suspense series!
Special Agent Annika Trace is the hottest
thing in law enforcement—at least on TV. Her long legs, designer
suits, and hunky sidekick have garnered millions of fans, one of
whom—a four-year-old kidnap victim named Linzie—is refusing to talk
to the real FBI. In desperation, Special Agent Trace—a.k.a. actress
Nikki Gower—is called in to help.
Special Agent Josh Saxon became a hero when
he brought Linzie back safely. Now he’s out to catch the kidnappers
and doesn’t need some Hollywood caricature of a federal agent
interfering in his case. But when Nikki establishes a rapport with
the child, Josh admits she might just get him enough information to
track down the culprits. And even as Josh and Nikki spar over the
best way to get the job done, another rapport is being
established—on a much more physical and decidedly more adult
level—as Josh discovers firsthand how Nikki makes the airwaves
sizzle.
Actress Nikki Gower loved portraying a
kick-ass federal agent on her hit TV show, Trace Elements, and got
an even bigger thrill when she was brought in to work a real case
alongside sexy Special Agent Josh Saxon. When her show was
unexpectedly canceled and she was given the chance to join the real
FBI—and make her hot romance with Josh permanent—she knew it was
destiny.
But there are other men in Nikki’s life
determined to add a more permanent plot twist, including her
predatory director, who gets the show un-canceled for six more
episodes, and the shy stalker who sends her white roses and creepy
but seemingly harmless poetry.
When Josh goes undercover in Miami and Nikki
stays behind to shoot the remaining episodes in Hollywood, the
conflicted actress is sure Josh’s new gang-related assignment is
dangerous. Little does she know, she’s the one who might not
survive Season Two.

They’ve been married and practicing law ever since while raising
two great kids—a son and a daughter.
Kate has had more than twenty novels
published in genres including fantasy, historical romance, legal
thriller, romantic suspense, and young adult science fiction. Most
recently, her historical romances are being rereleased in
