“You are all leaving ?”

Dar shook his head. “Not all of us, but most of us.”

“Where? How do you know where to go? Wouldn’t it be better to remain here?”

“I’m sure my mate will be a stubborn little wench and not come home. I’ll have to go and drag her ass here so that I can enjoy spanking and fucking it.”

“I am going to Vuner to find the mystery woman that rescued you,” Cal said. “I believe her to be a chosen one -- my mate or Jax’s -- and I intend to bring her back here.”

“A couple of us intend to go to Earth,” Cam said.

Van stepped forward. “And I charge you to keep Val out of trouble while I’m gone.”

Gitana looked at him knowingly. “As long as you are going to something, and not just running away from it. Remember, you always have a family here that loves you.”

He pulled her into a hug, and she fought the tears welling up in her eyes. Van leaving would crush Val’s heart. She pulled away from him and looked over to Val, who had a pensive look on his face. “I wish you all well, and may the strength of a warrior find a worthy mate.”

The queen wiped away the tears from her cheeks. “My boys are leaving.”

Jax laughed and pulled his mother close in a hug. “You know we’ll be back very soon with mates. And I bet Gitana and Val will have little ones racing around the corridors of the palace creating the same chaos we did.”

The queen laughed. “I would cherish the day.”

“I guess we had better get busy if we are having that many kids,” Gitana said with a laugh as she looked at Val. “I really don’t want eight sons. I’ve heard the stories from Shana and Fiona, you know.”

“Oh, but twins run in my family.”

The thought of having his children made her happy. She was ready to begin a future with the man she loved. She not only had a family, but she had a home. And the love she

shared with Val would see them through any adversity that came their way. She didn’t need Fiona’s intuitiveness to know that.

Cara Carnes

Cara Carnes discovered her love of writing early in life, as most writers tend to. At the age of 11, she typed up a love story and happily mailed it off to Harlequin. Anxiously awaiting her acceptance letter and fat advance check, she dutifully listened to her mother and grandfather as they instilled in her the lessons key to her writing today.

By the time the hand-written rejection letter arrived, Cara knew that someday she would be writing the stories that she loved. Most importantly, she had learned two key fundamentals from her mother and grandfather: always expect the unexpected, and know you can do anything you set your mind to.

Cara's love for the written word found a home in erotica romance. Wanting to bring fantasies to life on the pages of her books, she enjoys crafting characters that sizzle on the pages and burn their way into your heart. While she loves all genres of romance, erotica will always have a special place in her heart because Cara believes true romance doesn't stop at the bedroom door.

Cara is a native Texan and currently resides in Austin. When she isn't absorbed in her characters, she enjoys traveling, photography, and spending time with family and friends.
