"Here and there, when he has to come back for a major meeting, but that's not too often. We do stay in touch on Facebook and text one another."

I have a thought. "The first time I came here and was watching all the conversations, I saw a girl being very persistent with you in the chat room. You said something like 'not after what you did' and you told her to get lost. Was that Jackie? Is Jackie Slippery_When_Wet69?"

He lets out a deep grumble that I can feel in my thighs. "Yeah, she keeps trying to get with me, because I am the only one who's never came onto her."

"I understand that. Wanting something that you can't have it totally sucks. So do I have anything to worry about?" The way I say it, I hope he hears it like '
do I have to worry about you sleeping with the slut or anyone else for that matter?'

He looks me right in the eye. Leans in, and presses his forehead to mine, and says, "No."

"So, what now?" I ask him.

He gives me a sly smile. "Don't be mad. But that night after the Maroon 5 concert…while you were sleeping I e-mailed your photos to the band like Adam asked, and to my boss."

Oh. OH?

"My boss would like to meet with you about a possible job offer. One that requires you to photograph the shows I attend."

"Oh. My. God!" is all that comes out.

I attack him with a body-crushing kiss.

My twisted knight in dark shiny armor.

First I would like to thank my husband, for putting up with my hours and obsessing about this book, going after the boys when I was typing away and not committing me to the insane asylum for when I talked about my characters as if they were real people.

Thank you mom, you were so supportive over this and along with everything I do, but took in everything I had to say and let me vent. Don't look at me when you read it! Yes a little awkward haha.

Especially for my best friend Katie Potvin! You my dear have put up with so much of my book talk that you deserve a medal! I have loved gushing over the detail with you. And to my friend from afar bestie Heather Putnam, for being the first to read my extremely raw first draft and for cheering me on, I love you so much for putting up with me.

To the amazing author Jenn Sterling, whose book inspired me to "prove it" and pursue my dreams. Also to new author friend Jessica Park for being stunning! Giving me tips and even putting me in contact with her and now my editor.

Thank you for all your "tough love" Jim Thomsen, my amazingly cool editor! You bared though my rough manuscript and have taught me so much. You are more than a copy-editor; you are a teacher and a great person. Thank you for all the help you have offered me.

To all my girls on InstaGram and the members of SMI Bookclub, who were the first to know about this book. You all have shown me more love than I knew possible, I wish I could hug each and every one of you.
