Chapter One

I sit on the porch swing and close my eyes listening to the sound of the birds and nature all around me. Trevor and I wanted to get away and spend some time with each other with nothing or no one around. So Trevor rented a cabin in the mountains, we packed our bags and jumped in the car. There is a thirty minute drive to get to a town anywhere near us. There is no WiFi or cable TV. Just Trevor and me and it’s just the thing we needed.

“Good morning, Sunshine!” Trevor sits on the swing beside me and hands me a cup of coffee.

“Morning, baby.” I lean over and kiss his cheek, taking in the smell of Trevor.

We have been here for two days. Marshall and Joslynn promised to take care of things at home until we got back. Joslynn all but pushed me out the door with my bags in hand.

“It’s so quiet here.” I take a sip of my coffee.

“Well, I say we go make a little noise,” he teases.

The words alone are enough to have me begging him to take my clothes off here on the porch.

“Mmm sounds tempting.” I smile trying to play off how much I don’t want him to take me on the porch.

He smiles and grabs my coffee setting it on the railing behind him. He grabs my legs and pulls me down on the swing. He stands in front of me and slides his clothes off letting them fall all around him. Leaning in he grabs my shorts and pulls them down so fast the swing slides from side to side with the force.

“Take it off, Tay,” he demands and motions to my shirt.

I love when he takes control and takes the options out of my hands. I lean up and slide my shirt off throwing it at Trevor. He catches it and drops it to the floor. His face serious as he walks towards me. Grabbing my legs, he pulls me sideways towards the edge of the swing and before I can think he is inside me.

My whole body tightens from the feeling of him being inside me. His pace is fast letting me know that he wanted me just as bad as I wanted him. I raise my hands above me and grab the arm rest of the swing needing something to hold on to. Something to push me closer to him.

“Close…Trev…Trevor…Close.”

His hands tighten on my thighs and as his pace quickens the whole swing moves back and forth, which only causes my orgasm to come stronger. Trevor tenses and his head rolls back. He slides out of me and sits down on the swing beside me. I sit up and can’t help but laugh.

“Laughing after sex is never a good sign.”

“We just had sex outside in broad daylight.”

Trevor looks at me for a few seconds saying nothing and then laughs.

“We gave the squirrels a hell of a show.”

“We indeed did. I am going to go shower. I love you.” I lean in and kiss him slowly savoring the taste of his lips.

I walk back into the cabin with a little more sway to my hips. The cabin is beautiful with an open floor plan. The living room and the kitchen connect. There is a bathroom upstairs across from the only bedroom loft. Beautiful, big bay windows cover most of the back wall facing the woods around us.

I run up the stairs and straight into the shower. We rented movies on our way here and Trevor promised to watch each sappy one with me. The water feels amazing as I stand in the middle of the shower and look at the woods around me. The shower has windows and water jets all around. I freaked as soon as I saw it and made Trevor walk around the house to make sure no one could see in the shower. It’s an amazing view but should come with a warning label.

I walk down the stairs and follow the smell of food into the kitchen and find Trevor standing in front of the stove cooking dinner.

“I hope that’s not bacon.”

“Funny. But it’s just cheesesticks and pizza.”

“Mmm sounds good. Movie?”

“Go pick one.”

“On it.”

Even though there isn’t cable TV, the TV is huge and it hangs on the wall above the fireplace. There is a DVD player on the mantel below it. I grab a DVD and slide it into the player. Trevor comes in with the food and we spend the rest of the day on the couch cuddling. Being in his arms with no worries and no thoughts of what had to be done the next day.

Chapter Two

“Hello?” I yell into the phone.

Another plus of being out in the middle of nowhere is cell phone signal is iffy. I called Joslynn to check in and see how things were going.

“I can hear you don’t move!” she yells.

“How’s things going?”

“Good, are you not supposed to be on vacation? Just you and Trevor time?”

“Yes, I just wanted to call and check in.”

“Coming home soon?”

“Yeah, next week if I don’t beg Trevor just to move in,” I say laughing.

“It’s beautiful there, enjoy it. I have to go we are getting busy. Love you, Tay. Enjoy your vacation and no more checking in.”

“Love you.”

I hang up the phone and walk back inside the cabin.

“Checking in go okay?” Trevor asks from the couch.

I nod my head and walk towards him. For the most part, the time we have spent here we have been out of our clothes more than in them. I take my time walking towards him, while taking off an article of clothing with each step. Trevor watches me and there’s a smile on his face. By the time I make it to him I am naked.

I take the book from his hand and lay it on the table, leaning in I kiss him. Trevor leans up and pushes me down on the couch under him. I watch as he takes his clothes off and tosses them all around the living room. Once he is naked he climbs back on top of me and runs his lips along my jaw, then nips on the bottom of my ear.

I close my eyes and moan. He runs his hands along my body taking his time when he makes it to my nipples, rolling them each around in his fingers. I arch my back and push against him.

“Trevor, please.”

“In due time, Sunshine.”

He slides his legs in between mine and pushes them apart. He leans in and kisses my breast and then makes his way to my clit, pulling it into his mouth. I tighten my legs around him and arch my back off the couch. The feeling of his mouth on me is one of my favorite things. I slowly open my eyes and look down my body.

Trevor looks up at me and smiles. I watch as his muscles move in his arms as he makes his way back up my body. He leans in and kisses me letting me taste him and myself mixed together. He slides inside me and both of us moan together. Taking his time and setting his pace, I feel like my body is going to explode at any moment from the overwhelming feeling of him invading me.

I wrap my legs around his waist and my arms around his neck as I kiss his cheek. My nails dig into his back and his pace quickens. It doesn’t take long before our orgasms hit at the same time.

After we showered and were sitting on the couch, Trevor turned towards me with a serious look on his face.

“I know a lot has happened, Tay. But I want us to get married soon. I want you to have my last name.”

Talk of wedding plans causes my heart to race and my hands to sweat. Trevor is close to his family. I pulled away from mine. I didn’t want to see the look of disappointment on their faces as I took another sip of alcohol.

“I don’t want a big wedding with lots of people, Trevor.”

“You have a different life now, one that they would love to see.”

I lean back and shake my head. I don’t want a huge fluffy dress and guests for as far as the eye can see.

“I don’t want all the mushy stuff all the other girls do, Trevor.”

He nods his head and wraps his arms around me kissing me on top of the head. I close my eyes and listen to his heart beat. I want nothing more than to marry him and have his last name. But doing it somewhere with just him, me and the preacher would be enough for me.

When Joslynn took me to the wedding dress store I almost had an anxiety attack. Planning a whole wedding is not something I want to do. Marrying Trevor is like starting a new life and walking away from an old one. An old one with old pains and temptations and a new one where the only temptation I have is touching my new husband each day and night.

I lean back from Trevor and wait for him to look at me.

“Can we invite Joslynn and your brother here? Get married here?”

His eyes light up.

“That means you want to marry soon?”

“I would marry you today, Trevor. I just don’t want the big puffy dress and fancy wedding.”

“I don’t care who’s around as long as you say I do and you are mine for the rest of our lives.”

Now that I know I don’t have to plan a full out wedding, I allow my excitement to come out, and I smile and wrap my arms around Trevor letting go of a squeal I’ve been holding in. I am going to spend the rest of my life with the man whom I love. The one who shows me each day how much he loves me. When I pull back from the hug Trevor smiles and kisses my cheek.

“I have an idea…” I say and smile back.

I grab my phone and run outside leaving a confused Trevor sitting on the couch watching me. When I make it outside and finally find signal I call the one person I know can help me pull off what I want to do… My future brother in law.

Chapter Three

I hear a banging on the door and jump out of the bed and look around. Trevor is no where to be found. I run out of the bedroom. When I open the door, my jaw hits the floor. I knew Trevor wanted to get married and I knew we both wanted it to be soon but to wake up the next day to Joslynn, Marshall and lil man standing on our porch I can’t help but be surprised.

“Well are you going to let us in or stand there and look silly,” Joslynn asks putting her hand on her hip.

“Sorry I just didn’t realize he would tell you to come today. We just talked about it yesterday.” I step out of the doorway and motion for them to come in.

“This place is amazing!” Joslynn says looking around the cabin.

“Yeah it is.” I hold out my arms to lil man and smile as he bounces in Marshall’s arms trying to get to me.

After I lost my baby, it was hard to hold him some days but the smile on his face when he looks at me and it was hard to say no. I know now that it wasn’t my fault I lost our baby but it was hard not to lay all the blame on myself and feel like my whole world had come to an end.

But having all of them here I know that my world hasn’t ended it’s just beginning. I follow Joslynn in the living room and watch as she takes in the cabin.

“Where’s Trevor?” Marshall asks.

“Probably gone to grab food.”

He nods his head and sits on the loveseat and wraps his arm around Joslynn once she sits down.

“Did you talk to Trevor?” I ask.

When I called Marshall yesterday and told him my plan he sounded excited. Tattoos and tattooing is something special to both Marshall and Trevor. The one true way I could think to show my love and devotion to Trevor other than marriage was wedding band tattoos. He gave me a gorgeous engagement ring I will treasure forever but a tattoo is permanent.

“It’s all set.”

I have always heard that having a mans name on you is bad luck but when it is the name of the man you love and the only one that you want to spend your life with I don’t see it as bad luck. I see it as true love. The door slams and ends my thoughts, I don’t want Trevor to know until after the tattoo is done.

Marshall and I talked about me coming to the shop as soon as we are back home. I hand lil man to Joslynn and walk into the kitchen. Trevor is putting away groceries so I walk behind him and kiss his cheek and wrap my arms around him. He stills and pulls my hand to his mouth kissing it.

“I see y’all made it okay.”

“Just got here about thirty minutes ago,” Marshall replies as he walks into the kitchen.

“I got a few more groceries. It takes a lifetime to make it to a town from here.” He laughs and shakes his head.

“It takes a lifetime to drive up here,” Joslynn says rolling her eyes.

The rest of the day is spent catching up on all things back home with the restaurant and the shop. Sunshine’s is still running with Janet in charge. At fifty years old, she is our oldest employee and one of the cutest and feistiest ladies I have ever met. Janet is tall with gray hair that reaches the floor when she wears it down. Her glasses are always on a chain around her neck. Joslynn and I both fell in love with her as soon as she started talking.

Janet  owned her own restaurant for years before she decided to sell it and retire. She stayed home for a year and got stir crazy. We got lucky when she walked into Sunshine’s wanting a job.

“How is Janet?” I ask Joslynn over supper.

“Pissed she wasn’t invited.” She laughs.

“You told her why you were coming?”

“She knew something was up when I started to dance and sing around Sunshine’s.”

“You didn’t!” I can’t help but to laugh at the image of her in my head.

“Oh, she did!” Marshall says with a roll of his eyes.

Joslynn slaps him and she grabs his arm. The relationship between them is something I have always wanted with someone. I look to Trevor and see that he is watching me and has a smile on his face. I lean my head on his shoulder and know that now I have something just as beautiful as Joslynn and Marshall. Something love story worthy. Something amazing. Something that I have always wanted and now that I have it, I am going to hold on to it tight.

“Have you decided what you are going to wear?” Joslynn asks bringing me out of my thoughts and back to reality.

“Uh, not really.”

“Well.” She stands from the couch and grabs a bag from the floor. “When Trevor called I couldn’t help but get you something to wear. Before you freak out it’s not a huge white dress. It’s just something small.”

I take the bag from her and pull out a long sun dress. It’s yellow and strapless with ruffles at the top. When I stand up and hold it against me it reaches down to my ankles and pools around my feet.

“It’s beautiful! Thank you!” I hug her.

“You’re welcome.”

I slide it back in the bag and sit down on the couch. With them showing up today I never thought about how soon Trevor and I would be marrying.

“Trevor?” I turn my head towards him slowly.

“When are we getting married?”

I can see the blush rise on his cheeks for the first time since I have known him.

“Tomorrow?” he says and shrugs his shoulders.

I run my sweaty hands down my pants leg and look around the room. Everyone is watching me closely, waiting for me to freak out or run to the bathroom like last time. I smile and shake off the nerves.

“Okay.”

It feels like the room takes a collective sigh. I can’t help but be excited for tomorrow. I will be Mrs. Trevor Andrews.
