Writing a book involves a lot of people. I would like to thank my friend and mentor, author Blake Crouch, who encouraged me to lengthen a short story into a novel and offered welcome advice. Other early readers who encouraged me include authors Elizabeth Cratty and Gail Harris. Poet, Haz Saïd, offered me some great (especially dark) ideas, and I appreciate his continual encouragement. Feedback from my beta readers was priceless: Blake Crouch, Terry Junttonen, Haz Saïd, Terry McClaren, Deborah Warner, and Tory Hartmann (no relation to the character in the book—except they both have red hair and like designer clothes).
