Chapter Six

Jaxon and Evan stayed long enough to warrant ordering pizza for dinner and having someone come and drive them home. Because crashing here was no longer an option, not when Fraser had two secrets that he seemed determined to hide from the world. And hide us he did. Somehow he had managed to hide us so well that he gloated that he'd gotten away with it. He didn't appreciate that I told him it was not something to be proud of. He had effectively lied to his friends, another thing he didn't like being told.

After that he grumped his way into the bathroom to ready for bed and barely spoke to me. Which as strange as it sounds it was a great thing. I wasn't impressed at spending the majority of the day in his bedroom, bored out of my brain.

To spend the day in his bedroom would be a dream, that is if he was in there with me and we were both naked. Oh and no child, that would be beneficial for a day of debauchery. Nothing says mood killer like a screaming baby. Maybe she might go off with one of her father's friends that don't know about her.

I stared at the ceiling in my new bedroom. The bed was pretty comfortable, the sheets smelled like lemons. All in all this was a pretty good situation.

I had contemplated unpacking my bag considering that I was going to be here for two weeks. Maybe tomorrow if I get a chance. Hopefully I won't be trapped in his bedroom again. I think I'd end up ripping my hair out from boredom if that were to happen. If his friends had called first I could have gone out but they didn't and they never had before. Fraser said he couldn't tell them to start doing it, it would make them suspicious. And god forbid we make them suspicious.

Indigestion was plaguing me, the cold pizza hadn't gone down well. Fraser had brought several slices in on a plate with a sheepish look on his face, offering another beer and another trip to the toilet. There was no toying with me in the bathroom this time and I returned to the bedroom to eat the cold pizza. The baby was an angel, barely whimpering with her feeds and nappy changes.

I got up to search my toiletry bag for an antacid, almost crying with the relief it gave. Someone needed to reward the person that created these little lifesavers. I'd have to look this up on the internet. I sat on the edge of the bed thinking about the state of my life. It was good, I wasn't complaining.

The guys were a handful but deep down they were great people. They were just young, cashed up and a little wild. I could live with that. Money was certainly flowing well for me, past jobs had always been good. It was a lucrative job because the environment and hours weren't that great.

My last job was for a four piece band that were the same as Night Fire though they weren't as famous as them. On the exterior they were troublemakers and loved the life of being a musician. The problem with them was that on the interior and behind closed doors, they were a train wreck. They were being used by the leeches, management did little to stop it. Worse yet they were aiding their narcotic habit, something that I did not agree with.

I had been in San Francisco at the time, I had come recommended to Jerry from a friend of his daughter. She was from his first marriage and lived in LA somewhere. One of his representatives had found me in a crowded function room where the band was supposed to be performing and offered me a placement as the assistant for a band, one that was far better than the one I was currently working for. It didn't take much to convince me, I was already sick of the job. I actually feared to sit on a lounge, scared that there might be a needle sticking out between the cushions. No one needed to live with that kind of fear so I agreed.

Jerry had confessed after I had signed all of the employment and confidentiality agreements that he had run out of people to babysit the band. Because essentially that's what my job is. My predecessors had quit for varying reasons. One had been that he couldn't handle to pace, another couldn't keep up with the odd hours. Then there were the ones that Jerry had to relocate. The last one had been infatuated with the band, something that wasn't ideal. Jerry made it quite clear that being obsessive over them wasn't on my to do list. It made my fascination for Fraser a little risqué but I always tried to maintain a respectable distance and do my perving when no one is looking.

Hearing the baby whimpering I got up to see what she needed. Fraser's door was open, I padded along the small stretch of corridor to his room. He was out of it, tanked up with beer and lying flat on his stomach.

“Typical.” I huffed and leaned over to pick the baby up.

As I stretched down to pick her up I heard the rustle of bed sheets and the chuckle of a drunk man.

“Taking me up on the offer Eden?”

“I don't remember being offered anything other than cold pizza and warm beer, both of which have given me indigestion.”

I turned as I stood upright, holding the baby against my chest as her whimpers increased. Fraser had sat up on his bed, the sheets covering the lower half. The top half was something else, the light from the moon showed off the curves of his muscles, shadowing lines and definition.

“Maybe you should make your daughter a bottle so we don't have to discuss how you managed to trap me in this room all afternoon.”

Fraser turned his feet out of the bed and stood up, letting the sheet fall back to the bed. He wasn't naked but he was pretty damned close. All he was wearing was a pair of tight fitting shorts that left little to the imagination. I darted my eyes away, turning out of the room. It's not as if I was dressed any better, my bed clothes were rather lacking as well. A pair of boy shorts that sat far too high on my backside and a tight fitting camisole, one that needed to be covered. Except that I had forgotten about my dressing gown in my sleep deprived state. I don't even know where it is.

I inwardly sighed and walked out to the kitchen, we were both adults, we had both been with other adults and what we had was nothing that either of us hadn't seen. Except that he liked to tease me and I couldn't help but wonder if it really was a monster.

The light to the kitchen flicked on, I turned and saw Fraser staring at me. Luckily I had a fussing baby covering my barely covered breasts, otherwise he probably would have seen far too much. Tomorrow I was searching for my dressing gown.

He hadn't even bothered with a pair of jeans or shorts, roaming the kitchen in his tight shorts. Bastard. With a smirk he wandered to the cupboard and opened it, tilting his body in a way that allowed me to check the goods without him seeing. Fuck. There was a monster and it seemed to be growing.

I quickly darted my eyes up as the door shut, Fraser seemed to distract himself by reading the instructions on the formula. Like he didn't really know what needed to be done. The baby was crying louder, the angel was suddenly settled in her new environment and was happy to let the world know about it. I tried to settle her but it seemed she wasn't interested. The louder she squawked the faster her father moved.

Trying not to watch was difficult, his body stood in the one spot as his muscles contorted with the movement. I found myself biting my bottom lip, enjoying the view far too much. Turning away from it was for the best, it was a view that wasn't for me.

The baby wasn't impressed with the position I had taken on the stool so I stood and paced the floor trying to settle her. Soft padding across the wood floor made my body go rigid, he was behind me before I could even turn around. He held the bottle out, I took it as I looked up into his eyes. They were like little glasses of whiskey, a soft smile crossed his face. As soon as the teat was in the baby's mouth, she stopped fussing and guzzled the milk down fast.

Fraser moved to the other side where her head was resting in the crook of my arm. His fingers danced over her scalp, gently caressing the soft brown hair. I made the mistake of looking at him again, the fascination and awe at her was adorable.

“Thought of a name yet?”

He shrugged as he ran his fingers through her hair, it flicked back into place and he did it again. Her hand gripped my finger tight, Fraser ran the pads of his fingertips over them.

“She's so tiny.” he whispered.

“Yeah, hard to believe she has such a brute for a father.”

When she was done with the bottle, I put it on the bench and set her to my shoulder to rub her back.

“How come you know so much about babies?”

He was behind me, his finger playing with one of her hands. It could be considered one of those difficult moments for me. His skin would occasionally touch mine, he was behind me and far too close.

“A mixture of research and common sense.”

The child passed the burp that I was gently rubbing her back for.

“Oh who is a good girl?” Fraser cooed.

I raised an eyebrow, grateful he couldn't see it. Then he kissed her on the head. In itself it was a loving gesture, one that could be commended but for yours truly, it was another one of those difficult moments. Too close to me, not just those lips but that body. So close I could feel the heat that emanated from him. So close I could feel the monster press against my backside. I was in hell or at least I thought that it was hell.

What was worse than feeling the monster against my backside? Well that would be his hands finding my hips to hold me down, to stop me from escaping. As he placed another kiss on her head he moved closer, digging into me. His chest was against my back and I wanted to beg him to put those lips on me. Just once. It wouldn't be enough but it would have to do.

“She's asleep.” he whispered against my neck.

Lord help me. I can't suffer anymore of Fraser's teasing.

“Good.”

His hands slipped from my hips, I looked to the ceiling and offered my silent thank you. I took the child into the bedroom and laid her in her cot. As I straightened my body I saw Fraser standing at the doorway, watching me in the darkness. He'd turned off the lights in the kitchen and now there was nothing but shadows and moonlight.

“I uh.. I'll see you in the morning.”

“Sure.”

He barely moved from his position in the doorway, watching me as I tried to squeeze past his bulky frame. All I could see was a silvery hue across muscles. A view that was worthy of a fantasy. One that was going to happen as soon as I shut my bedroom door.

“Night Eden.”

I looked up as I began to pass him, his lips curled in one corner with a playful smirk. It was then that I realized what he was really up to, the pervert. I'd stopped and in doing so he had a view straight down my camisole. It was nothing but cleavage but I guess that it was enough for him, he certainly seemed to enjoy the free show.

“Good night Fraser.”

As best as I could, I tried to ignore the gaze that seemed pinned to me. A few short steps and I'd be behind the privacy of the bedroom door. I'd have my sick little fantasy over and done within a few minutes and then I could find my rest again for a few hours until the baby woke again. Then I'd be stuck in the nightmare again, like some twisted perpetual loop of a fantasy and a nightmare.

“Pleasant dreams.”

The dark voice chuckled from the shadows, I turned to see him leaning on the door frame.

“You too.”

“Oh it will be.”

No doubt about your last conquest
my mind hissed as I walked into the bedroom, hiding behind the door. I sighed as I leaned on it, closed and free from the glorious view. Who did I piss off to suffer this hell? I had signed up for a year of this crap. I truly was insane.

Chapter Seven

After my sick little fantasy about he who shall not be named I slept like a log, not hearing the baby whimper or cry at all. I woke incredibly refreshed and wondered what I had missed out on during the remaining early morning hours. As I opened the bedroom door a wave of smells hit me, the glorious scent of a hot breakfast.

Fraser's bedroom door was open but neither he nor the baby were in there. I found him in the kitchen, still in those damned tight shorts and the baby in a bouncer on the floor. She was being her quiet little self as she sucked on a dummy. I wondered when she would start squawking for her bottle, maybe he'd had the sense to feed her without me prompting him.

I watched as Fraser went about making his breakfast, a little stunned at how good the view was. A long line parted his body in half, a shallow gouge for his spine. His shoulders were broad slowly tapering down to narrow hips. By appearances it would seem that the only fatty part on his body was his backside and god damn it was a fine one. Recording into the memory bank for sick fantasy number two.

He turned and saw me, giving me a smirk and a tip of the chin. When he turned back to the stove I looked down. I really had to find my dressing gown or dress before I left the bedroom. Fraser set two plates out, sliding eggs and bacon onto each of them. The toaster popped, frightening the life out of me.

“Hurry up before it goes cold.”

I padded across the wood floor, lifting myself up onto the stool at the breakfast bar. Fraser still had a smirk on his face as he turned back to the toaster and put two pieces of bread in. Thankfully I couldn't see below the counter which was at his waist. He turned back and dumped the tub of butter in front of me.

Stupidly I looked up, his gaze pinned to me somewhere as his hands rested on the edge of the counter. A broad stance as he quietly waited for his toast.

“Thanks.” I offered, feeling the heat rise in my cheeks.

I ducked my head down, concentrating on buttering my toast rather than mapping his torso. Fantasy number three was mapping it with my tongue. A sharp thrill coursed through me, I gripped the butter knife hard as I tried to stifle the growing need. It wasn't working. Not when he stood more upright and scratched his chest. I found myself biting my lip again as I watched his hand moving across his stomach.

The whole view burned into my mind, a soft smattering of hair on his sternum, tribal tattoo that ventured from his upper right arm and onto his chest. Another one of his heart, two roses with a banner that read mom and dad.

I looked back down at my plate, trying to be more interested in scraping the butter over the hot toast. I'd forgotten about his past. When given this job I was given a brief outline of each of them. Jerry thought it was in my best interest to know everything that was necessary so that I could keep a good eye on them. Curtis had issues with his family that caused him to drink heavily, Frankie was his saving grace. Austin was quiet for no real reason, his parents loved him and by appearances his life was good. Evan was the product of a teen mother, his father thrown in jail for it and as far as I knew he hadn't spoken to him ever. Jaxon had spent his early years being shipped around family members because his mother was a mess from substance abuse. When his father cleaned himself up he took custody of Jaxon and settled in Vegas with the new wife.

But Fraser was a whole different world. His formative years were exceptional, loving parents, a caring home with an older brother and everything that he ever wanted. Then life crashed down around him. The band was in New York doing a charity event when Jerry got a call that by his own admission almost killed him. Fraser's brother Tyler was on something and killed their parents. Jerry glazed over which particular demon it was but it was enough for him to go a little psychotic and believe that his parents were trying to kill him. He gave me another glazing over of the facts, the lawyers tried to go for temporarily insane then the self-defense route but the judge saw straight through him and convicted him. So Tyler is doing life in jail and Fraser is alone in the world, except for those in his inner circle. His inner circle consisted of the band members and their families, Jerry and El and one aunt who lived somewhere in Utah.

His aunt Mirabelle was all that he had left as family now, real family that is. She had been there for him in the days after the murder and when the trial was going on but Jerry mentioned she couldn't handle the pain of losing her sister so she didn't come to Nevada much. It was mostly when there was a family event on and she wouldn't stay too long. To say that they were drifting apart was accurate, something that didn't sit well with me.

So I guess Fraser's hesitation to form a permanent relationship with anyone might be a little understandable but how long could he run for? With a child to care for his days of trying to avoid a family was coming to an end. The toaster popped and brought me out of my odd thoughts. As Fraser dealt with his toast I looked around the outdated kitchen, munching on my piece of toast. There was a reason that this house was the way that it was, this was his childhood home. Tyler killed them here, in this very house. The fact that Fraser still lived here was a little concerning. Did he want to hold onto the memory of his parents through the house or was it that he couldn't let go?

“That's a mighty big frown.”

I snapped out of my thoughts and looked up at Fraser, nodding and returning to the view of my plate. There was no way I was going to tell him what I was thinking about. I didn't even know if Jerry was supposed to tell me or not. Sure anyone with a bit of sleuth skills could find out anything they wanted to about these guys but to openly advise an employee of the painful past might have been forbidden.

“Is the baby asleep?”

Fraser looked down and nodded. I quickly finished my breakfast and decided a day of distraction was required. After putting the baby into her cot I dressed and made my bed, folded the mountain of baby things and setting up a proper change table. Much to Fraser's disgust it was the dining room table but at the moment he would have to live with it.

By early afternoon all work around the house was done and Fraser was watching a game on the television, the baby was on the bed beside me and I was sorting through the emails. She laid on the bed peacefully, I knew to enjoy the quiet because it was going to end real soon. It was a waiting game now and I could only hope that it was soon so that we could settle her into a routine before the tour started. Then life really would be hell. Disrupted sleep patterns, constantly on the move, hotel rooms, the jet, too much noise, not enough noise. Yes, life on the road with a baby was going to be interesting.

Dinner had barely been started before the baby started to scream the place down. I had jinxed us for sure. Constantly thinking that she was too quiet had doomed us. A warm bath, fresh nappy, bottle and pacing the floor while dinner went cold, that was our beginning. Our end was falling asleep in the lounge room with the lights blaring and the child finally settled. It was probably somewhere around two am when we finally passed out on the lounge. I was the first to wake, finding myself asleep on Fraser. How? Wouldn't have a clue. I was so tired that I could barely function properly, I stood no chance of remembering how I ended up sleeping on him.

As I lifted myself from his body Fraser woke, rubbing his eyes with a frown. He was about to say something when his eyes darted to the child. She was asleep, peacefully resting and the look on Fraser's face was pure happiness. Now all we had to do was get her into her bed in the darkened room to ensure a proper sleep.

Carefully I lifted her up off the play mat and took her to the bedroom, setting her onto the sheets. She fussed a little but thankfully stayed asleep. Wearily I wandered out to the kitchen where Fraser was, the lights were out as he looked out the window to the great expanse of lawn.

“All good.”

Fraser turned from the view, a ghost of a smile slipped over his lips as I drew closer. I leaned on the bench to the side of the one he was leaning on. Sleep was going to evade me now, I would be awake for hours and by the time the baby was ready for her next feed I was going to be like the walking dead.

He casually walked over which was a grand total of two steps for him, his hands gripping the counter either side of me.

“So now what?” he whispered playfully.

I stared up to his darkened features, barely visible. All but the light in the corridor was off and it was further down the hall so it wasn't much help in the kitchen.

“I uh... I don't know.”

Well, I did know. I could think of lots of things to do. Nothing that he would want to do with me though. As his lips pressed against mine with a brutal and needy kiss, I realized how wrong I had been. His hands found the edge of my jaw, grasping it at the neck to urge me deeper into the kiss. His skin was hot, at first I took only a tentative touch fearing that it would be taken away from me and I wouldn't get it again. But he pressed against me, pinning me to the counter and my hands made contact with the hardened flesh. Heavenly was a good word to describe the feeling of touching his torso. Everything that I had thought about, every salacious dream was now so real.

If I wanted to stop my hands I wouldn't have a hope in hell. They seemed to have a mind of their own, venturing as high as his sternum to play in the hair, trailing down through the lines of his abdominal muscles and somehow ending up on his backside. My hands were such dirty things. But Fraser's were even dirtier. They ventured up my back, under my shirt to undo my bra. With one swift move I was without my shirt and bra and now that our kiss had been broken his lips moved down my body.

Calloused fingers wrapped around my breast, pushing them up as his tongue darted over the hardened nipple. His teeth grated over them, clamping down to suck on one as his hands moved further south. I gasped when my shorts fell to the ground and his hand pressed against the skin in between my legs. He wasn't messing around, a desperate need was surging through him.

His lips found mine again, darting and entwining his tongue against mine. Soft lips pressed against the other, nipping and tugging. I moaned in the kiss as his fingers continued to slide in and out of me.

“Come on Eden.”

The words played across my lips as he spoke them, the hot whisper sending a shiver of pleasure through me. I gripped his shoulder as I finally let go, feeling the glory of rough fingers that pleasured so well. My body wanted to cry out with the loss as he pulled them away, a second later they were at my lips.

“Open.” he growled quietly.

I did as he commanded, sucking on his fingers and soaking in the saltiness of my own pleasure.

“Fuck you're dirty.”

My eyes flashed up to him as I dragged the fingers out of my mouth, sliding my tongue over them. I trailed a finger along his arm and down his torso, finding the button to his jeans. With one little pop and a slide of the zip I was almost there. His fingers deftly played with my breasts as my own hand curved over the rock hard bulge in his pants. God it felt good to finally touch it.

As the sides parted and I pushed his pants away, my stomach was thumped with something hard and hot, seeping just a little liquid. Disinterested in dealing with his pants, I took his cock in hand and felt how long and thick he was. Monster was an appropriate term.

Fraser stepped back a fraction as I dropped to my knees, his hand sliding through the hair on my head as I drew him into my mouth.

“Fuck Eden.” he hissed.

Yes, it was true that I could take a guy pretty deep. It wasn't something that I was willing to advertise, I preferred to offer it as a surprise. Like now. Fraser groaned, his grip on my hair tightened the more I pulled him deeper. I looked up at him, the rise and fall of his chest was fast, his face was filled with pure ecstasy.

He pulled away, stepping back as his chest heaved with a heavy pant. His cock glistened with saliva, with a dirty grin I reached out and toyed with him. Pumping along the shaft and licking the head.

“You gotta stop, I wanna fuck you and if you keep going I won't be able to.”

Reluctantly I stopped and stood up. There was nothing better than having a man go to pieces over me giving them head. Fraser's lips were on mine as he pinned me to the bench again. He was rough and brutal, his hand on the back of my head to hold me in place. The other hand was lifting a leg around his waist.

Abruptly he pulled away from the kiss, my lips were swollen and a little sore but I couldn't stop smiling. Fraser ripped open a condom packet and fumbled in between us, the other hand lifting my leg off the ground. His eyes darted up to mine, a devilish smirk crossed his face.

“Never been deep throated before.”

I gasped when he pushed into me, feeling my body stretch around him was a little painful.

“Gotta say Eden, any time you wanna suck my dick I'll be up for it.”

“Mm.” I purred as I wrapped my arms around his neck. “That's a mighty tempting thought but did you know that it's a two way street? You want head you've got to give head.”

Fraser grinned as he sank deep into me, stopping when our bodies pressed together.

“I'll gladly accept those terms.”

His hips moved back and forth, sliding himself deep into me. Every movement caused a shudder to wash through me. My body flushed with euphoria with every moan I moved closer to an orgasm. Fraser dragged his lips over my sensitive body, arching me back to push my chest out further. I moaned louder as his tongue flattened over my erect nipples, feeling the wet trail lap circles around them.
