EAR READER,

There is nothing that humbles and honors me more
than knowing that someone took time out of their busy
schedule to sit down and read my book. Thank you. I hope you
enjoyed the story.

But it's so much more than a story, isn't it? It's a call to action.
I wrote Scream to entertain, yes (and I hope I succeeded in
that), but more so I wrote it to challenge, to challenge you to
think about life and death-the brevity of life; the imminence
of death-and then, by golly, to do something about it.

It's no lie; death is one of the only sure bets in life.

Think about that for a moment; let the reality settle in. The
morbidity rate for men and women everywhere is 100 percent.
You will die. Sooner or later.

Oh, I know most of us don't like to think about that. It's
morbid, morose, melancholic. But necessary. Death is an
appointment that cannot be canceled.

Now, since death is imminent, I want you to think about what
happens after death. Where will you spend eternity? There's
only two choices, heaven or hell. And the choice is yours. You
decide. If heaven is your choice, there's only one requirement
(and it doesn't include going to church or clean living or helping
little old ladies cross the street); it's trusting in what Jesus did on
the cross to satisfy your debt. You see, the Bible says we are all
sinners and the wages for sin is death. It's a debt we've incurred but can never repay. Out of His love for each of us, Jesus volunteered to pay that debt on our behalf and now offers us the gift of
eternal life. Entrance into heaven only requires that we acknowledge our fault and humbly accept that gift.

So, the call to action. If you've never accepted that gift, I
implore you to do so. Admit your sinfulness, ask Jesus to forgive
you, and accept His gift of eternal life. If you have accepted
His gift, the responsibility is yours to tell others about it.
Think about it: when you talk to someone (a friend, co-worker,
neighbor, family member), you never know if it will be the last
time you ever share words with them. Take advantage of every
opportunity you're given. Tell them before it's too late.

If you're interested in knowing more about this or want ideas
for sharing this good news with others using God's Word and
Scream, log on to www.MikeDellosso.com. I look forward to
seeing you there!

Humbly and with much appreciation for you, the reader,

-MIKE
