A smarting smack to each cheek startled her from her musings. “Your answer, Mara?”

Unsure, she guessed. “Not waiting for security back in D.C.?”

Two more ringing slaps. Not too hard, but definitely attention getters. “I punished you for that a long time ago. If you’ve forgotten, maybe I should tack on a few more this morning.”

“No, I haven’t forgotten.”

“You’re certain?”

“I remember every time I brush my hair.”

“Mm… do you need a hint?”

“Yes, please.”

“It will mean extra licks to your total.”

“I understand, but it can’t be helped. I don’t know number three.”

“Let me refresh your memory.” Two more slaps, but not by his hand. These were equivalent to the sting of a hand-spank to the tenth power and had her calling out as heat arced across her entire nether region.

“That was a Lexan paddle, courtesy of Cap, his punishment tool of choice for Megan.”

“But—”

Two more, very different from the paddle, fell across her lower cheeks, close enough to her thighs that she would feel them when she sat. She gasped, kicking her feet against the mattress at the nearly unbearable heat. They really smarted.

“The tawse, thanks to Rick, who recommended it for an evasive, non-disclosing, runaway wife. He has some experience with that. Regan evidently complies quite well after a thorough round with this Scottish bad boy.”

“Master—”

A swishing noise sounded a split-second before fire ignited on her thighs, not once but twice. “That is Dex’s Alley Cat. It’s nothing more than a nine-tail bull flogger. He was being nice. I think he’s quite fond of you.” His hand smoothed over her cheeks and thighs. “Jonas’ contribution is around your wrists, a length of braided hemp from the rope master himself.” He looped something around her thigh, moving her knee closer to the edge of the bed. “He threw in the leg ties as a bonus.” Sean bound her other leg the same as the first.

She shifted in her bindings, testing their give and finding she couldn’t go far. She was trussed, splayed wide with her ass high in the air. She was completely at his mercy, to discipline, to play with or to fuck at his leisure. She prayed the last two were on his agenda, but he had that damn rule. Maybe he’d let it slide, this once. Filled with eager anticipation, she could scarcely wait for what came next.

Taking a deep breath, she asked, “And Lil T, did he kibitz too?”

“His recommendation came first.”

She heard a click and a very loud buzzing. It became louder, making a kind of grinding noise as Sean pressed it against her lower lips. The vibration was intense. No, that was too tame of a word, cataclysmic was more accurate. No matter what she called it, the stimulation had her near climax in seconds.

“Master, I can’t… It’s too much to hold back and not come.”

“Did I tell you not to come? It wasn’t my intent. Come as often as you like. In fact, that was the center point of T’s punishment when he gave me this magic wand. So have at it.”

And she did, blasting off like a turbo charged rocket, writhing and convulsing as her orgasm rocked her body. Panting afterward, Sean readjusted its position, pressing the wide head against her lips once again, instead of taking it away. It was then she realized what was in store for her in the next little bit. Death by vibrator—was such a thing possible? Miraculously, she felt another building, or was it more of the same. She didn’t know, but one thing she was sure of was that the souped-up vibrator wasn’t even touching her clit, merely in the vicinity, and could still get her off in spectacular fashion. One phrase kept running through her mind, fucking awesome!

“Can I quote you, baby?” Sean laughed.

Not realizing she’d spoken, she blinked at him in confusion.

“That’s okay. We’ll have a wrap up discussion later. Right now, it’s time for your punishment from me.”

As he spoke, another orgasm was building and breaking free.

“What… Oh my freakin’—” Waves of ecstasy left her speechless and convulsing in her restraints. Panting, she finished her question. “What happened to no reward after punishment?”

“Tonight’s an exception. You can thank Lil T and his mighty wand for that. Uh-wait, let me rephrase that.”

She would have giggled if she had the breath.

“But really, nightingale, this has been mostly play, you must admit. Two swats, even from the tawse is only a taste. Unfortunately, the next part won’t be as much fun. Like the first time, I’ll use the hairbrush to make my point. Let’s get this done and hope that it won’t need repeating.”

“Wait. Aren’t you going to tell me what number three is first?”

“Certainly, although I was hoping you might clue in by the guy’s contributions. Having to stand by helplessly during the scene with Victor was torment. They were all rather put out afterwards, as was I.”

He knelt at her side, his hand riding low on her back, the wide head of the brush caressing her taut skin. Blame it on the position, or the impending spanking, or the freaking vibe buzzing away at her pussy, it simply wasn’t making sense.

As a third climax approached, she begged, “Please can you be more precise?”

“Have you forgotten that day in court,” the brush fell twice, one on each cheek, “as you tried to fight your own battle with six highly trained men at your back,” four strokes on the same cheek, an identical four fell on the other cheek, “armed and much more capable of taking his ass down than you?” After that, two sharp swats landed low on her sit spots.

“You’re punishing me for defending myself?”

He paused. “No, what you did was reckless and quite frankly stupid. He had the gun Mara, the upper hand. He was intentionally saying those things to get me riled; instead, he riled you, which was worse. You went off, stomping and biting mad, outmanned and outgunned. He could have shot you. In fact, the gun went off so close to your head in the struggle, I lost ten years off my life, as did the guys. They were pissed and I heard an earful the next day.”

“What was I supposed to do?”

“Let the trained men around you, who are experts in not only hand to hand combat, but marksmanship and have an actual likelihood of hitting their target, do their job which was to protect you. We all had him in our sights, but you kept getting in our way. Good god, Mara, we’re all deadly accurate and were in place to take him down, but none of us could get a clear shot with your head bobbing around in the path of a bullet or while you were rolling around on the floor wrestling him with a fucking loaded gun in your hand.”

Sean ended his rant on a near shout.

“He made me so angry, Lucky. I’ve never felt hate so strong in my life and I was tired of it all.”

“So you told us, but what if things hadn’t gone down as they did? He had size, was in a rage and had another gun. He would have killed you.” Hearing him suck in a deep breath, she could tell he was exerting the utmost control on his anger.

“I’m sorry, Sean. I kind of snapped.”

“I get that, Mara, but next time I give you an order to stand down, you will do as I say.”

“Yes, Sir.”

“Too appease my angry friends, who were all in favor of a public butt busting at Decadence, I invited their input into your punishment. Two of each isn’t much and far less than would have been expected at the club. You can thank me for that later.”

The brush returned as crisp smacks of stinging heat rained down on her ass. Each blow pushed her onto the vibe, giving rise to a conflagration of pleasure and pain.

Five orgasms and twenty or thirty swats later, she lay in a damp exhausted lump across the pillows, her head falling weekly to the bed. Her pussy lips and clit continued to tingle long after the vibe was switched off. Free from their restraints, she couldn’t move, even if she wanted to, powerless in her post-orgasmic lassitude.

Next to her, the mattress depressed as Sean lay by her side, his handsome face settling beside hers on the pillow.

“I don’t think I’m capable of going again, Master. So if you want to, um, finish. It wouldn’t be a reward for me, not really.”

His lips were gently curved as they moved against hers. “You underestimate your Dom, baby, and I accept your challenge.”

“Oh, no…” She began, thinking to correct him, but gave up upon seeing his smile and the gleam in his eye. He planned to take her, it was clear, she just hoped he’d give her a short break so she didn’t lie beneath him in exhaustion like a slug. She didn’t mention that, knowing that would be a challenge to him as well.

“Have you learned your lesson?”

“Yes, no more fighting armed gunmen tooth and nail.” Her attempt at a joke failed.

“I’m serious, Mara. You could have been shot again, killed this time.” His hand slipped into her hair, holding her firmly. “I can’t lose you again, Mara.”

Meeting his gaze head on, she nodded. “I’m not going anywhere, Sean, and I didn’t mean to be flippant. I’m sorry, and I’ll apologize to the guys, though I’m not quite sure how I’ll face them, especially Lil T.” She felt her face flush with heat. “When did you see him anyway? I thought he went to LA?”

“He did. I spoke with him by phone.”

“What’s up with him do you think? He hung by Angie’s bedside for three days straight, but as soon as she woke up, he was vapor.”

“I wish I knew. There’s something between those two. I noticed it long before Angie was stabbed.”

“I love T, but he’s really not her type Sean. She wants a family, a husband, 2.5 kids, the mini-van…”

“She’s a cop. I’m surprised.”

“Cops have families too, babe.”

He grunted. “You’re right about T. Home and hearth is not him. He says he’ll never get married and doesn’t want kids. He likes the twins but says fatherhood is not in his DNA.”

“That’s sad. He’d make a great dad.” She sighed, her fingertips gliding along his scruffy jaw, adding, “Like you will, babe.” She couldn’t wait for the day, which was soon, she hoped. “Angie’s doing well, by the way. We brought her lunch and hung out the other day. Did you know she’s planning to quit the force?”

“Now that is definitely a surprise and a shame. She’s a very good detective.”

“Yeah, but she’s over the department and the B.S., which she says was present before dastardly Dick came to town, though not as bad. She was passed over for a promotion; two women and a man were in the running. One guess who got it. Here’s a hint; he had a penis. It’s not fair. She mentioned something about opening her own investigations firm.”

“Solo? That doesn’t sound safe. And not because she’s a woman, but because anyone dealing with the criminal element needs a wing man.”

“This is true. I’m glad you have a team at your back when you go on mission. Maybe she could subcontract with Rossi or something, if they need a woman on a case.”

“Or, maybe she simply needs to come work for us. We’ve talked often about needing a woman operative.”

“Angie would be awesome for that.”

“Keep it to yourself until I have a word with Cap, and Angie, naturally. She might not be interested in working with another bunch of dominant men.”

“You obviously have me confused with other subs with loose lips who will remain nameless.” She mimed zipping and locking her lips. “And, I know from personal experience that Rossi only employs sweet guys, not arrogant assholes, like Dick. I bet Angie jumps on your offer. ”

“I wish you’d quit saying his name. It’s disturbing.”

She giggled. “Sorry.”

He rolled until she was beneath him, his big body covering hers. Her fingers sank into the thick hair at his nape, arching enough to let his hands burrow under her back. He spread her legs and settled his hips between her thighs. As his big body enveloped her, Mara sighed, exulting in how close they were, not only physically, but in every way.

“So you think I’m sweet, huh?” His lips whispered against her neck. “Does your hot bottom agree?”

“Yes, even while spanking me you see to my well-being, and always, when we’re playing you take care of me. Checking in, testing my restraints, making sure I’m getting something out of it too. And the aftercare: lotion, warm blankets, water, cuddles, and Godiva chocolate, which you keep stocked at Decadence now because you found out it was my favorite. What’s not sweet about that?”

“Fortunately for me, you tend to focus only on the good parts.”

“That’s because there are only good parts, Sean.”

“What about the Kangaroo Stinger? You weren’t too keen on that.”

“I knew you’d never hurt me and in the end you would have rewarded me greatly.”

He lifted his head, smiling as he laid his mouth over hers in a molten hot kiss. “I’m glad I hung onto it then. We’ll use it in our next session.”

Her mouth dropped open.

“I’m kidding, baby. We’ll use one of the new tools the guys sent over. Did I mention we’re keeping those? They said to consider them gifts.”

“I’ll pass on the tawse, but can we keep the wand?”

Laughing, he rolled them, until she was on top. “Sorry, nightingale, but we’re keeping them all, especially the wand.” His hand behind her neck, he pulled her down for a kiss. As his tongue passed her lips, he surged up inside her, filling her above and below as he brought her to mind-blowing orgasm number six.

The End

Maddie Taylor

A lifelong reader, Maddie became a romance junkie as a teen with her first romance novel, The Wolf and the Dove by Kathleen Woodiwiss.  From then on, she was hooked, and gobbled up everything she could get her hands on, whether contemporary, historical, paranormal or sci-fi.  If there was romance to be found between a strong alpha male, and a sassy, adventurous and oftimes defiant yet loving woman Maddie was all over it. As an author, she stays true to those themes writing steamy erotic romance, with a side of kink, and adding elements of intrigue, danger and suspense to her plots.

Maddie started writing as a hobby.  Her stories stayed private while she raised a family and worked full time as a registered nurse.  It wasn’t until 2012 that she decided to take the plunge and submit her first book for publication: Captain My Captain.  She found acceptance at Blushing Books and published an impressive twelve novels the first year.
