Somehow, I hope you can see all of this and that you’re proud. Whenever I’m at the beach, there is a special place on the porch where you come into my mind. I’ll never forget our times there. On that porch your favorite green chair still sits. Aria and I share two things ~ her dad’s chair is just like yours, and I think she possibly loved her dad as much as I love you…
…maybe
As in Book 1, the story of Declan and Aria has many layers. I hoped to let you see inside my mind when I shared how the scenes unfolded in my mind, complete with music.
My mind is a very unusual place.
I’m not going to tax you with
all
the music that played in my head for Book 2—just a few selections.
In the same way that scenes unfold for me, complete with hair, make-up and clothing, music also inspires me for a character’s mindset—or a song that best describes where they are emotionally when I’m writing their story.
Selective/Memory
has a total of five songs. One for each of the main characters, describing their emotional attitude, and two that describe the mood of the scene. Again, it is a guide if you would like to travel the story the way that I do.
You will only find a music guide before the chapter in which a song is listed. The place for each song is marked by the appropriate music note (
♪
) within the text. Should you choose to participate by playing the music along with reading the text, please purchase your music from a source that supports the artist.
Enjoy,
