“She
is

Dare grimaced and sniffed. “You don’t smell like much either. Do they make you go days without a bath to go on one of these missions of yours?”

Lucan chuckled and rubbed the back of his neck. “No, it’s a type of cologne they’ve developed. We merely squirt it on and we smell like a rancid beggar.”

Jaynee’s face burned. Gods, why couldn’t she control her thoughts? The more the man talked, the more her mind ran rampant with the idea. What would it feel like to have two men want her, one at her front, the other at her back? She nearly groaned with embarrassment when he moved, drawing her attention to his long legs and the bulge at his crotch. Standing, he approached her slowly. His intent was clear as he sat on the edge of the bed.

“A
Savari
can read the minds of others when he or she is not angry or upset. In fact,” he whispered, his head dipping to where her neck and shoulder met, “we can feel every emotion, every sensation of those we’re linked with.”

Jaynee tried to lean away, but warm air skittered across her skin as his tongue lightly 16
