With one thrust, he tipped her over the edge, and she was crying out in surprise and pleasure. Her body was shot through with rockets, and she couldn't stop herself from shaking. She was calling his name desperately, and then he had achieved his peak as well. He thrust into her one final time, and then he held himself over her, carrying his weight on his elbows. His face was inches away from her, his eyes closed.
Why, he has such long eyelashes
.
For several long moments, they drifted in that haze of pleasure. She felt as if every part of her had been singed in fire, as if it had left her completely without bones. She wanted to sleep, she wanted to laugh, and unbelievably, she wanted to do it all again.
With a slight groan, Alexandros rolled away from her. He disposed of the condom, and then he returned to the bed. Instead of climbing in beside her, he only looked down at her, strong arms folded over his chest.
“What is it?” she asked with alarm. “What's wrong?”
“Nothing at all is wrong,” he said. “I promise. I was only wondering if you know how truly extraordinary you are.”
Now that her need was past, she found herself blushing at his frank words.
“I'm not sure if I would use the word extraordinary,” she muttered, but he shook his head.
“No, that is the perfect word for you. I'm only shocked that you do not realize it.”
Alexandros seemed to realize he was making her uncomfortable. With a slight smile and a shake of his head, he climbed into bed, immediately shaping himself to her back.
“What are you doing/” she asked, obscurely shocked, though she didn't know why.
“I am sleeping,” he said firmly. “I have been up since before dawn seeing to things regarding my palace. That was why I was so late getting back to the photo shoot this afternoon. Given that you have been up even longer, I suggest you do the same.”
“But...”
Tiana bit her lip, aware of the words that she was going to say, knowing that she couldn't say them.
But you're a prince. But this was just a fling. Should we really be sleeping together like this, as if we were...
Her mind couldn't even think of it. It was too strange.
If she were clever, she would simply get up, thank him for an amazing night and return to her own chambers. It was what a worldly woman would have done, someone who was experienced with affairs of all kinds.
However, despite all of her work, she wouldn't have called herself worldly under the best of times, and her experience with affairs was actually nil.
And he simply felt so good.
I'll deal with it in the morning.
She snuggled down under the blankets and pressed herself against his chest.
In a matter of minutes, his warmth and the even rise and fall of his breathing had lulled her into a deep and dreamless sleep.
