“Well, that is in the name of creativity.” She kissed his cheek.
“And what am I doing?”
“Taking yet another picture of me.”
“My favorite thing to do. Well, my second favorite thing to do.” He smiled wickedly.
Lucy pressed her cheek against his and said, “I love you, Antonio.”
“I love you too, Lucia.”
Sounds from inside the house could be heard as they waited for the timer. Antonio could hear his whole family in there, laughing, joking, eating, and loving each other. There was a time when those familiar noises would have him whipping out his smart phone and booking the next flight to anyplace away from the domestic bliss that permeated through him. Lucy was right; he was finding his place among all the love that was there. He’d found his complementary free spirit who loved life and the beauty that was all around them. He had finally found peace and happiness because he’d finally found Lucy. As the camera made that familiar clicking sound that Antonio had come to know and love, he knew he had just captured the best moment of his life.
