“Gonna come…” Teague whispered, meeting Hudson’s eyes. “Gonna come in your mouth, Hudson. Oh … shit…”

Hudson sucked hard when Teague pushed in as far as he could, his dick pulsing, spurting against Hudson’s tongue. He worked him until Teague’s fingers loosened in his hair, then released him and got to his feet. Grabbing Teague’s head, he cupped the back and pulled him in for a kiss that stole both their breath. He wasn’t sure what was going on here, but he got the feeling it was a whole hell of a lot more than simply sex.

But Hudson knew that no matter what might be playing out between them, this was all it ever could be. Unfortunately, he was smart enough to know that was all Teague would ever be willing to give.

Twenty-Four

Friday, July 29
th

“OH, COME ON, Gannon!” Milly yelled. “It’s just a little water. It’s not gonna hurt you.”

Gannon shook his head and Teague chuckled. Cam and Milly had been trying for nearly half an hour to get Gannon into the water; the guy had never moved from his seat on the deck of the boat. Not once.

“You don’t know that,” Gannon called back.

Milly grinned, kicking one dainty foot in the water and making a splash. She was perched in an inner tube floating carelessly near the boat. She looked happy. They hadn’t seen much of her since the cruise, but Cam’s last-minute idea for an afternoon on the water had apparently been right up her alley.

Cam, Gannon, Milly, Dare, Noah, Hudson, and Roan were all out there with Teague, all enjoying a bit of the waning afternoon sun. Clearly Cam had a burr in his butt, because he’d been insistent that they needed a little down time and they needed to do it out on the water. Today.

Not that Teague minded. He was enjoying himself, but he wasn’t in the water. Nor was Hudson or Gannon. As for why Gannon wouldn’t leave the boat, Teague understood. He had no clue about Hudson.

His phone vibrated in his pocket and he pulled it out.

When we get back to shore, meet me at the private alcove.

Heat swarmed him, and he didn’t think it had anything to do with the afternoon sun. Only once since last Saturday had he and Hudson gotten together for sex. And yes, Teague assumed that message was the equivalent of a booty call.

He wanted to call out that they should be heading back to shore, but he knew better. They’d been out there a little more than an hour now, and he needed to give it a little more time than that. Plus, everyone would want to know why he was so eager to head back in. It wasn’t like he had any plans for the night. Well, he hadn’t right up until that text.

“You good?” Roan asked when he climbed aboard, water dripping from him.

“Sure. Why?”

“You looked a little lost in thought.”

Teague felt his face heat. Good thing Roan couldn’t read his mind. If he could, hell, he would probably blush. The things Teague thought about when it came to Hudson … probably best if no one else knew about that.

“How’s your sister?” Gannon asked, effectively taking Roan’s attention off him.

“Not so hot.” Roan took a seat beside Teague, leaning his elbows on his knees as he dried his hair with the towel.

“She planning to go into another rehab?”

Roan shook his head, looking dejected. “Nope. She said she’s done with them.”

“Sorry to hear that. She still using?”

“Unfortunately. I’m trying to make it as hard for her as I can, but she’s doing it when I’m not there. Since I can’t be with her twenty-four/seven…”

Teague was surprised that Roan was sharing so much information about himself. Then again, he and Gannon had gotten pretty tight as far as friendships went. Teague knew that Roan was helping out with video games and shit, so that made sense.

“Well, if there’s anything Cam or I can do, let us know.”

Roan nodded, then turned his attention to Hudson. “I’m surprised your brother’s not here today.”

Hudson glanced at Roan, then used his hands to respond.
He’s in California for work.

“He spends a lot of time out there, huh?”

Hudson nodded.

Gannon turned to look out at the water. “Hey, Mill. You heard from AJ lately?”

That question had Hudson looking over at the woman floating in the water.

“Not since the cruise, no,” she said, but it sure sounded like a lie, and Teague didn’t even know her all that well.

“Really? He said he left you a couple of messages, but you never returned his call.”

“Huh. I didn’t get any messages.”

And now she was definitely lying. Teague didn’t claim to know her all that well, but he’d been around the woman enough that he knew she rarely answered a question or responded to something in only a few words. The woman talked incessantly.

Which would likely mean that Milly had a thing with AJ. Interesting.

Not that Teague gave a shit, but at least it kept his mind off of what Hudson planned to do with him in a little while.

Great.

Now he was thinking about it again.

MILLY SHOULD’VE KNOWN the topic would turn to AJ.

Then again, the only reason she was there was because AJ wasn’t. She knew he was in California because he had left her a message last week, trying to get her to call him back. He’d mentioned he would be out of town for a couple of weeks and had hoped to see her before he left.

She knew she was being a bitch by not calling him back, but she couldn’t. What they’d shared on the cruise… Milly knew that had been one of those vacation romances that wouldn’t stand a chance back in the real world. She worked too much and AJ was always gone… The last thing she wanted was a long-distance relationship.

Yes, she liked AJ.

A lot, actually.

He was a stand-up guy, far better than any guy she’d dated as of late, which only meant that they weren’t meant to be. Based on her experience, it wouldn’t take AJ long before he grew tired of her. Or he would want to change her, and that wasn’t something she could deal with, either. She’d made it this far in life without ever settling down, so she didn’t see the point in doing so now.

Looking up, she noticed Gannon watching her. She knew he had caught her in a lie. Rarely did she ever lie to him. Not only because he was her boss but also because he was her best friend, and she loved him for that. But she absolutely did not want to talk about AJ. The more distance she put between them, the better off they would both be.

Didn’t mean she didn’t think about him all the time, because she did. A woman had the right to fantasize, but a woman also had the right to know when not to get too close.

The last thing she wanted was another broken heart.

BY THE TIME they made it back to shore, the sun was beginning to set, which happened to be perfect for what Hudson had in mind. After helping get the boat tied up, he headed toward the repair shop so everyone would think he had some work to take care of. It helped that he had to go inside to grab something he’d stashed in his drawer earlier. He tucked it into the pocket of his cargo shorts.

What he was really doing was heading down to the alcove by slipping around the outer edges of the lake. Figuring Teague would come in from the other direction to avoid being seen with him, it seemed like the logical thing to do.

It took roughly fifteen minutes to trek through the trees and down to the water’s edge. The spot wasn’t exactly a secret since Cam, Dare, and Roan all knew about it, but Hudson knew that it was rarely used these days. Since Cam and Dare were both dealing with their own relationships, they didn’t need to sneak down to the lake to make out. Or maybe they did; who really knew with them.

However, he doubted they were coming down here tonight.

So, this was perfect.

The sound of a twig snapping had Hudson turning to see Teague nearing.

“Did you plan to get in the water?” Teague asked as he joined him.

Hudson signed:
No.

“Okay, then what’s the plan?”

Hudson grinned. The kid was apparently in a hurry.

Take your clothes off.

Clearly Teague understood the instruction, because he took a step back and lifted the hem of his shirt, pulling the dark fabric up and over his head. As he continued to watch Teague undress, Hudson backed over to one of the large, smooth boulders and perched on the edge.

He never took his eyes off Teague, enjoying the striptease. The guy was all corded muscle, sleek and lean. Hudson had been hoping to see him out in the water today, but the kid had opted to hang on the boat for whatever reason instead.

But he would get his fill now.

“Now what?” Teague stood gloriously naked a few feet away, while Hudson was still fully dressed.

Touch yourself.

“Touch myself? Like, jack off?”

Hudson cocked an eyebrow but left it at that. Teague would get with the program soon enough.

It only took a few seconds before Teague took his dick in his hand, slowly stroking while he continued to maintain eye contact with Hudson. He looked confused, which was cute. He liked keeping Teague guessing, and so far it seemed to be working.

Hudson didn’t move for several minutes, fixated on the way Teague was stroking himself. He wasn’t in a hurry, but he could see the way Teague’s muscles tightened. He needed more than he could give himself right now, and Hudson wanted to oblige him, but he was enjoying the show.

“So, what? Are you going to sit there and watch me the whole time?”

Hudson shrugged.
What do you want me to do?

“Something. Fuck,” Teague huffed, never stopping the movement of his hand.

Tell me.

“I thought you were the bossy one,” Teague mumbled.

Hudson grinned.

“Fine. I’ll jack off, but you have to finger my ass.”

Crooking his finger, he signaled Teague to come over to him. When he was within reach, Hudson jerked him closer, nipping Teague’s chest with his teeth before flicking his tongue over Teague’s nipple.

Teague hissed, his chest pushing forward, closer to Hudson’s mouth.

Hudson nipped, licked, and sucked until the little brown disc was hardened against his tongue, then he switched to the opposite side. He reached between them and guided Teague’s hand back to his dick, helping him stroke it. While he did, Hudson pulled Teague’s head down, pressing his mouth to Teague’s.

Smooth and soft, Teague’s lips melded against his, a breathy moan escaping him. He wasn’t sure if Teague realized he did that damn near every time Hudson kissed him. When he pulled back, he refocused his attention on working Teague’s dick, closing his fingers over Teague’s fist.

“Why do you like toying with me?”

Hudson didn’t need to answer that. The kid already knew. He wasn’t sure he would ever get enough of Teague. Ever since the first time they’d had sex, Hudson had been trying to control himself. It wasn’t easy, but the last thing he wanted was to hurt the kid. If he could, he would’ve already been slamming his dick deep into Teague’s warm body. But he wanted to keep Teague off-kilter for a while. He didn’t want to become predictable, because he knew that wouldn’t hold Teague’s interest for long.

And th
ough he had originally intended for this to be a short-term thing, Hudson already knew that he wanted a hell of a lot more than that. But the key to getting it was to keep Teague coming back for more.
