Time ticked by, until Olivia thought she’d lose her mind, and then the elevator doors whooshed open. Chance stepped into the room, anger etching lines through the bridge between his brows. She’d never seen him angry at her before, but he’d have to eat it. No way was she backing down when her friend was in danger. Olivia stood toe-to-toe with him.

“You can’t come with us.” Chance pushed her back onto the couch. Olivia sprang back up and he pushed her back and leaned over her, keeping her from rising against him.

“Damn it, Chance, you need me there,” she spat.

“You’ll only distract the team. They’ll be torn with protecting the Alpha’s mate and searching for Lindsey. I can’t allow it. And if you insist on threatening us I’m locking you in our bathroom. So, what’s it going to be?” His body trembled over her.

“Don’t do this. It’s my fault she ended up at my house. I shouldn’t have left. I don’t know what I was thinking.”

“You were thinking about safety. Obviously, Lindsey wasn’t.”

“Don’t make her the bad guy in this.” Olivia couldn’t believe he would stoop so low.

Just then the elevator door opened and Jasmine walked in. She looked from Chance to Olivia and back to Chance.

“Am I interrupting something?” She stepped farther into the room, lugging a huge bag with her. “I’ve been through hell and back getting this through customs. Whatever is going on with you two, stuff it in a drawer for awhile. We got the goods. Everyone should be in on this one.”

“You found out what he’s using?”

“Not only found out, I got me some and better yet, I got the counteragent as well. I suggest you call in the troops so we can fight fire with fire.”

Olivia and Chance exchanged a look, both thinking of the fire that consumed Olivia’s barn, of which Jasmine was clueless.

“I’m in,” Olivia stated.

“Trevor, Dir, Jase, I need you back here pronto. We got the counteragent.”
Olivia heard Chance call his men telepathically.

“I want to stay,”
Trevor broke in. To Olivia’s surprise, she was privy to the communications from his men coming through.

“Get your ass back here. We all need in on this together and make our plan, especially you, Trevor.”

“We lost her scent anyway,”
Jase said. Olivia gasped.

“We’re on our way, boss,”
Dir acknowledged.

“Show me what you got, Jasmine.” Chance led her through a door, and Olivia followed. Chance looked back at her.

“Include me in this, Chance. Get over yourself, you need protection, too.”

“Damn, girl, look at you, standing up to your Alpha.” A big smile spread across Jasmine’s face, until she looked at Chance. “Oh, sorry, boss.” She moved across the room at lightning speed and began unloading the contents of the bag onto the table, setting it all in a precise pattern. She handed Olivia a stack of papers. “Would you mind making five copies of these, please. Copy machine is in the corner.” Jasmine pointed toward the machine and winked at her.

“Thanks for letting me help,” Olivia said. She moved quickly to the copy machine, took a moment figuring it out, and then ran the copies through. She watched Chance going over everything on the table, lifting it as Jasmine explained in detail her findings. She couldn’t help but notice Jasmine’s respect for Chance, the young woman’s intelligence and expertise, with a nice touch of humor in her demeanor.

Olivia recalled this woman as Dir’s mate. She thought they made an attractive couple, Jasmine seemed outgoing and bright and Dir appeared reserved and maybe a bit cautious, which made for a nice blend.

Olivia handed the paperwork back to Jasmine and then sat at the end of the table out of the way. Jasmine ran down the events during her time with Dr. Linden. It sounded like a best seller spy fiction book, only it was reality. Olivia listened, fascinated as Jasmine talked on, animated at how she confiscated the bottles from the lab, along with the formula. It helped Chance had arranged a private jet for Jasmine out of England and back into a private airport in the U.S.

“Oh, about leaving England, I had a hell of time with those security guards. They confiscated my bag and carted me off with handcuffs on my wrists. I about peed myself, for damn sakes.” Jasmine stomped her foot, her hands clenched into fists at her sides. “That Damen, he needs a lesson on taking his job more serious. If he’d have been one minute later, I’d be locked up and the goods would be gone.”

Olivia watched Chance’s face, he looked amused, and her psyche read respect. Chance trusted Damen.

After a moment of silence, Jasmine continued, “Well, at least talk to him, he requires a good lecture…or two.”

“Damen always comes through, even if it seems he might come across lackadaisical or crass. His demeanor has nothing to do with his job. He’s one of our best when it comes to playing positions of authority figures. He knows the ropes, and we’ve never lost an agent because of him.” Chance looked across the table at Jasmine. Olivia’s psyche read the strength behind Chance’s conviction, knew he wouldn’t back down from his belief about Damen. She decided one day she would meet Damen, the man for whom her mate held such deep respect.

“That’s not what I asked. I told you, I about peed my pants when that guard snapped those cuffs on me. We were already on the walk, you know, the walk where you’re never seen again? I’m surprised they gave me my bag back.”

“I’ll call him, later. We have bigger wolves to nag, I mean nab right now.” Chance chuckled, but the look on Jasmine’s face was anything but humorous. Chance glanced in Olivia’s direction. “How are you holding up, love?”

“Better once we have Lindsey back.”

The door opened and Trevor, Jase, and Dir walked in. Jasmine leaped over the top of the table and ran, jumping into Dir’s arms and wrapping her legs around his waist. No words exchanged, just a steamy kiss. Olivia realized her mouth hung open from the shock of Jasmine clearing the top of the table, but their hot kiss in front of everyone heated Olivia’s face, a hot rush running all the way to her toes. She wondered if they’d ever come up for air. No one else noticed.

Chance passed the paperwork around for everyone, including Olivia. She scanned some of the pages explaining how Total Eclipse and the counteragent Full Moon worked after ingested. Again, Olivia thought of spy fiction, intriguing.

Jasmine and Dir finally moved nearer. Dir wrapped an arm around her waist and held her possessively at his side, and she melted into him naturally, as if they couldn’t bear separation. Her hand snuggled into the front of Dir’s jeans. Olivia wondered how long they’d been together by their brazen display. Again, no one seemed upset by their sensual behavior.

“Have you scanned over the paperwork?” Jasmine went on without waiting for an answer. “The only side effect might be a headache, but that’s for humans, not Lycan.” With her free hand she grabbed up two small medicine bottles full of tiny capsules, in one bottle the capsules were black and in the other bottle, white. “I know you can take them at the same time. The Total Eclipse capsule will cover your scent and actually enhance your stealth ability. The Full Moon capsule allows you tracking ability for anyone who’s taken the Total Eclipse.”

“So, we would have the rogue’s ability, plus have the ability at tracking each other and the rogue pack,” Chance summarized.

“The rogues can’t track us. Supposedly this stuff is brand new, barely been tested,” Jasmine added and smiled, showing beautiful white teeth that sparkled against her chocolate skin tone. “This obviously works in human or wolf form. It doesn’t affect our shift, but there’s a draw back, it only lasts two hours. So we might need a back-up dose along.”

“How long does it take before it kicks-in?” Chance asked.

“That’s the thing, it kicks in differently for everyone because of the way it absorbs into each individuals tissue and cells. No telling how long it will take. Doctor Linder couldn’t make an average guesstimate, but when it does take effect, you’re as good as vanished.” Jasmine set the bottle back on the table. “Here, take one of each and put them some place safe for when you’ll need it. Only one capsule of each—don’t waste it. I have the formula, but I’m not sure how fast I can access the chemicals needed for processing our own.”

“Jase can help get the chemicals. But, all of that can come after we take this beast down,” Chance stated.

Jasmine turned into Dir, and Olivia saw Jasmine’s hand snake down farther inside the front of Dir’s jeans. He groaned and threw his head back and arched his hips into Jasmine’s busy hand. Heat flushed through Olivia, sensitizing her nipples and causing wetness in her panties. She heard the others, their voices in conversation, planning, but for the life of her, Olivia couldn’t draw her focus away from Jasmine and Dir. Their sexuality beat at Olivia’s passion, making her wonder if this was part of the whole Lycan package. Her friend’s life was on the line, but Olivia’s brazen focus on Jasmine and Dir held fast.

She slipped back into a corner, embarrassed, stimulated, and in a desperate state, unable to draw away her focus. Dir bent his head forward and kissed Jasmine. Both of his hands disappeared beneath her shirt, and Jasmine arched into them, as if Dir’s fingertips touched her nipples. Jasmine’s body stiffened and her breath caught. She undid Dir’s pants.

Olivia melted into the floor in an attempt at being less conspicuous. If she had a blanket over her, she knew where her fingers would be planted. After years in a passionless marriage, Olivia figured out ways for relieving her sexual tension without breaking her vows.

Dir lifted Jasmine’s shirt and sucked a nipple into his mouth. Olivia breathed deep, feeling her own nipples taut against the soft material of her shirt in response. Hot moisture soaked her panties and she was sure it would show through her jeans soon. Olivia’s body responded with each of Dir’s ministrations to Jasmine.

When had Olivia lost control of herself? She’d never even thought of doing anything like voyeurism, but for some forsaken reason at this moment, it seemed right. She read everyone else in the room, and they seemed all right with it, no one paid attention.

Dir opened Jasmine’s jeans and yanked them down, no underwear. Olivia noticed Jasmine’s well-muscled buttocks, thighs, and calves, not an ounce of fat on the woman. She jumped up on Dir like before, wrapping those muscular legs around his waist. Olivia saw Jasmine guide the head of his erection between her legs, and with a thrust of her hips, buried him deep inside her. Dir bucked against her.

Olivia bent her knees up against her breasts, sexual stimulation throwing her out of control with need and want. She rocked back and forth, in an effort of placating her own needs. Dir stopped his pumping and carried Jasmine over near a cupboard, closer to where Olivia crouched in the corner. He pulled out a jar, opened it, and dipped out a glob of it on his fingers, all the while he was still stuffed inside of Jasmine.

Olivia moaned. They hovered over her so close. Jasmine rode Dir. Olivia saw his erection pumping in and out of her. Then Dir pulled Jasmine’s butt cheeks apart, he rimmed her rear entrance with the goop on his fingers. Jasmine’s body trembled and her pumping slowed, as if she waited for what came next. Dir dipped a finger tip inside her tight ring and she whimpered. “More.”

Olivia’s thighs fell open. Her hips undulated with their own small rhythm. She stuffed her hands under her bottom in an effort at keeping them away from the front of her pants. She thought of Chance doing the same things with her that Dir did with Jasmine.

Dir pushed his finger deep. Jasmine thrust into it, and Dir’s shaft slid out, only its crown remained inside. She whimpered again. “More.”

Olivia’s body filled with pressure, pulsing heat snapped through her, building a tidal wave within.
God, I’m going to climax, right here, in front of everyone.

Dir stretched Jasmine’s tightness with the tip of another finger, and she shoved herself into it.

“Oh, God, yes, baby. Pump me wild, from both sides.”

Dir bucked against her so hard, Olivia heard his muscled belly slap against Jasmine’s. He plunged his fingers in and out of Jasmine’s backside faster and faster until both of their bodies stiffened, Jasmine filled both ways. Dir groaned, Jasmine screamed, and Olivia moaned from her corner. Olivia squeezed her eyes shut, body trembling, her insides crashing over the top of the precipice as waves of electric sparks pounded through her.

“Olivia, I love you.”

Olivia opened her eyes. Chance crouched on his knees in front of her, gazing at her with lust in his eyes.

“What just happened to me?”

“You had your first dose of what happens when mates get separated for a little while. We don’t like being apart—deprivation of our mate gives us a huge sexual appetite when we reconnect.” Chance pulled her onto her knees and held her close. “You are always safe among our pack. I kept an eye on you, aware of what you were going through. I sensed your mood and scented your arousal, but you needed the experience of trust within the pack without my influence or interference.”

“It might have been nice if you shared these things before I simply stumble into them. I’ve never done anything like that before, ever.” Shame slithered through her belly and an edge of anger chipped away at her, leaving a feeling of being blindsided. She looked over, where Jasmine and Dir had moved. Both dressed and headed out of the room. Olivia looked back at Chance.

“I couldn’t stop myself, like an addict. I couldn’t turn away.” Olivia needed some kind of justification for her invasive behavior. It had taken her breath away and consumed her with pleasure.
Why?

“Actually all of us were aroused, but we curb our senses, especially because displays like what you just witnessed are fairly commonplace among us.” Chance kissed her forehead. “Don’t worry about it. No one thinks anything less of you for it. Everyone understands you’re Lycan abilities are new, and you need a bit of training in manipulating certain sensitivities. Who knows, maybe you’ll be even more enhanced because of your psyche ability.”

“I can’t believe watching a sexual encounter was more important than saving my friend’s life. That’s despicable.”
