When
you are so perfect.

To me.

Alex held the last note, as
Dagger made one final roll of his fingers across the guitar strings
and Wheland let the final bass note pulse. When the music finally
disappeared, the room was eerily quiet; which was unnerving to Alex.
He slowly opened his eyes and saw the stunned looks on everyone's
faces. Then, he saw Danni's tears and he shattered, wanting to go to
her as quickly as he could move.

Thank
you for listening,” Alex said, and set the microphone onto the
stool.

The room erupted in clapping
and cheers loud enough to make Alex's ears hurt. Ryan came out to
him, taking Alex's arm and Dagger gripped his other arm, easing him
off the platform. He was securing the crutch in his armpit, when
Chase and Danni embraced him from behind. He turned into them and
allowed the moment to wash over him.

Baby,
don't cry,” Alex said against Danni's wet cheek.

Her arms curled around his
neck. “That song is beautiful,” she whimpered.

Jesus,
Alex, I don't know what to say,” Chase said.

Alex
pressed his forehead to Chase's, as he cradled Danni against this
chest. “It sounds a lot better with the full orchestra and my
band playing behind the vocals,” he said.

Danni shook her head. “I
find it hard to believe it could sound any better,” she said,
nuzzling into his neck. “It's amazing and I love it.”

Wheland came up beside them
and slapped Alex on the back. “That was a nice debut,”
Wheland said and grinned. “So, does this seal the deal for you
and them?”

Fuck
off,” Alex chuckled. “The deal was sealed a long time
ago.”

Wheland
leaned in and kissed Danni on the cheek. “Check to see if the
ink is dry on that deal, Danni,” he said. “And, if you
change your mind about Alex, I can be on stand-by to
lick
your wounds.” Wheland bumped his shoulder into Chase and
squeezed Chase's whiskered chin. “Same goes for you,
handsome.”

Knock
it off, asswipe,” Alex said. The smile on both their faces
told everyone around them this was nothing more than two very close
friends expressing their brotherly bond. “I'm not afraid to
beat you with my crutch.”

Wheland bent into Alex's
face and lightly kissed him on the lips. “You'd have to catch
me first and we both know that won't happen.”

Alex pulled away when he saw
Cooper stepping up to them. “Where the fuck have you been?”
Alex asked.

The stupid grin on Cooper's
face already told Alex what he wanted to know, as did his missing
tuxedo coat and the general disheveled appearance of him; with the
half untucked shirt and long sleeves rolled up to his elbow and the
tussled, dark-blond hair on his head. Alex wasn't exactly sure who
was responsible for putting the grin on Cooper's face – until
Jayson stepped out from behind him.

I
was busy,” Cooper said, wiping off his lips with the back of
his hand. “Why? Did I miss something?”

Yeah,
playing drums for me,” Alex said.

I
do that all the time,” Cooper shrugged, then his eyes connected
with Jayson again and another goofy grin slid across his face.

I
debuted the new song,” Alex said.

Ooops,
I forgot you were doing that tonight.”

Yeah,
you did,” Alex said. “Maybe you should stop thinking
with your dick.”

Sorry
about that, Alex,” Jayson said. “You can blame me for
distracting Coop.”

Alex
glanced between both men and saw the stupid looks and knowing smiles
passing between them. He recognized it all too well, and was guilty
of it himself, whenever Chase or Danni were nearby. Chase dragged
Jayson off by the arm, leaving Alex alone with Cooper.

What's
the fucking deal with you two?” Alex asked. “Are you a
couple now or what?”

Cooper shrugged. “Dunno.
We hook-up. Beyond that, I don't know what he wants or expects.”

What
about you?” Alex asked. “What do you want?”

Cooper dropped his gaze and
slid his hands into the front pockets of his tuxedo pants. “I
like him … a lot,” he said with a grin.

Then,
why don't you tell him that?” Alex asked. “Take it to
the next level and stop sneaking around to see him. Its not like
everybody doesn't already know you're hooking up with him.”

Cooper looked over his
shoulder at Jayson talking to Chase. “I'm not sure he wants to
be exclusive.”

Have
you stopped hooking up with other people?” Alex asked.

I
haven't been with anyone except for Jay since before your accident,”
Cooper said. “I'm not sure I can say the same for him, though.
He implied when we met he wanted to keep it simple and I agreed with
him.”

Alex swung his arm around
Cooper's shoulders. “It sounds like it's time to renegotiate
the terms of that agreement. Tell him what you want and maybe you
can finally settle the fuck down. Unless you're not man enough to
handle that?”

Cooper nodded. “Maybe,”
he said. “I think I'd like to give that a try, but …”

Stop
talking like a little pussy and take what you want,” Alex said.
“If you wait too long, Jayson could find someone else,
dickhead. Then what? Unless you like the endless stream of nameless
hook-ups and are unwilling to give that up?”

I
don't know,” Cooper said. “I'd have to think about
that.”

I
really don't understand your fear of commitment, Coop,” Alex
said. “And, I have to say, I've never seen you smile the way
you do when you're with the J-man. Go ahead and think about it, but
I wouldn't take too long.”

Forty minutes later, the
countdown to the new year began and Alex grabbed the two most
important people in his life to share a 3-way kiss. All three
tongues met in the middle, with lips encouraging the stiffening of
two beautiful cocks and the dampening of one very sweet pussy.

I
love it when we share kisses like that,” Alex said. “Makes
me lightheaded.”

Happy
New Year,” Chase said.

You're
both hard as rocks,” Danni said.

Is
that a problem?” Alex asked, lifting one eye brow at her; a
slow smile forming on his face.

Not
for me,” Chase said. “The harder, the better.”

Hmmm,
that comment just bought you a second kiss,” Alex said, and
completely covered Chase's mouth, sliding his tongue in for Chase to
suck.

Danni rolled her eyes at
that, then smiled when she heard both of them moan.

Can
we go home now?” she asked. “You two have made me
horny.”

Alex reluctantly pulled away
from Chase's mouth and smirked at her. “I thought our hard
cocks were offensive to you?”

Danni latched onto the long
lengths of Alex and Chase through their pants and both of them made
strangled sounds of pleasure. “Don't put words in my mouth,”
she said.

Alex took her mouth, owning
the kiss from the first flick of his tongue. “Baby, I've got
something a whole lot better to put in your mouth,” he growled
against her lips.

Okay,
time to leave,” Chase said. “I'll go get the car.”

Alex circled Danni with his
strong arms and pulled her tightly against his chest and teased her
mouth again. “Let's go ring in the new year with a …
bang.”

They were a team now –
no doubt about it, and it felt … wonderful.
