Chapter 1

I remember that day. It was a sunny, hot summer day. I looked so beautiful. I started my day with a long shower, pampering myself with my best beauty products.

I had a certain glow, because I was so happy for my childhood friend. She was becoming Mrs. Sophie Powers, and I was so glad to attend her wedding as a maid of honor.

She gave me this beautiful purple dress, which complimented perfectly the tanned color of my skin. My dark brown hair fell over my naked shoulders in such a romantic but sexy way… I had the same extra curvy body that I have today, so the dress pointed out my voluminous thighs, letting a generous cleavage in the limelight.

I was not used to wearing a lot of makeup, because I was blessed with an olive complexion that highlighted my natural beauty and my big, blue eyes.

I put on my high heels sandals and walked out of the house with a strong self-esteem, knowing that my plumped figure would turn some heads around that day.

Everything looked immaculate at the wedding. When I first stepped in, I had the impression of entering a fairytale, with all the flower arrangements, the chandeliers, the candles and the soft perfume that permeated the entire atmosphere.

I grabbed a glass of champagne, smiling without losing my confidence, paying attention to everything that was happening in front of my eyes. Oh how I`ve wanted to be in Sophie’s shoes, she always was luckier than me.

She was now marring that handsome man in the magical background, having everything that a girl could imagine in such a short time.

Imperceptibly, the room and the garden where the ceremony took place were filled with nice, dressed-up people, elegant women and gallant men. Sophie’s family was very rich, so I noticed that everyone invited belonged to the same social category.

I had never been to Paris, but that’s how I was imagining it to be. Classy, stylish, fashionable and smelling expensive! Oh and the champagne was so flavored.

I could bet it was Moet, even if I only had a glass of Moet at the bride’s 21st birthday, when it was legal for all of us to drink and I actually got drunk from having only one sip.

Well, the story seemed to be awkward, because I remember I was dizzy, but in such a different way from the first time. It must be the experience I gained in all of this time, because I was feeling released, relaxed and let loose to live that day intensely.

The ceremony was incredibly romantic. I was sitting there, right beside them and I was sighing from time to time, with every one of the priest’s words, as I was feeling the strong bond that God created in that moment.

And the vows… the vows got me crying as a little child. I knew both of them and I was sure that those were sincere words, words from the heart, that will be reminded and will guide them throw all their life together.

It was a touching moment, but I gathered myself really fast, because I was ready to party. It took me more than twenty minutes to get out of the nostalgic state, as it was time to celebrate their union with the other friends. I had a gang of noisy friends, who were laughing and making jokes and made everything look so superficial.

I got myself another glass of champagne and, in the need for some fresh air to help me put myself together, I went out on the balcony.

The breeze was blowing slowly, waving my hair, taking all my day-dreaming way...I never thought I would get so impressed seeing two people swearing their love in front of the others, in front of the world and it was only then when I realized how badly I wanted a story like that for myself.

I felt ready for that kind of commitment, and the thought of belonging to only one man was giving me a warm thrill.

“So, you’re the bride’s best friend, huh?” a strong voice said, approaching me. I wasn’t able to see his face, as he was standing in the moon’s light.

“Yes”, I said, trying to clear my throat as it was choked by the previous moment’s emotions. I still wasn’t able to see him, but as he approached me I watched carefully, without moving my sight. I was able to see his big, white smile at some point.

He was holding a glass of red wine in his hands and he seemed very determined to talk to me. He was incredibly tall and fit, and the light was showing him from toe to head, reveling an expensive pair of shoes and a rigorous ironed suit pants.

He hurried so he could get faster to me, so in an instant, a gorgeous man was standing right in front of me. His suit was obviously custom made, as it was fitting him perfectly, and I had never seen something as white as his shirt.

He had a red handkerchief in the chest pocket as an accessory, giving me a hint of his personality. Nobody wears red unless he has a fancy manner.

His hair was pale blond and his eyes were brown. He had a straight nose, full, high cheeks and contoured pink, kissable lips. I was definitely checking him out as I was impressed by his beauty.

“I’ve never liked weddings but this one was special, wasn’t it?” he mentioned.

“Do you think so?” I asked, trying to make him talk a little bit more, so he could give me the time to stare at him a little bit longer as he moved his perfect lips into forming whatever words he wanted.

“Yes, I do. I was impressed by their vows, I never heard something so sincere, I could see the love in their eyes, and the emotion in their voice,” he continued.

I was instantly speechless. I wasn’t expecting so much from this man. Weren’t handsome men supposed to be stupid? Apparently not. I was an anxious young girl, so in my mind, right there, in that specific moment, I imagined myself at the altar, saying yes to this man without thinking any further.

“Let’s have coffee tomorrow”, he said, with a contagious confidence, like we wasn’t willing to take “no” for an answer.

“I agree, mister…”

“Paul, he said. I’m Paul, and you are Stephanie. I’ve asked Sophie already everything I’ve wanted to know about you. I’ll pick you up at 11, tomorrow from your apartment, in the center” he concluded, turning around and leaving me right there, not before smiling “goodbye” with only half of his mouth, in a sprightly way.

I was really impressed, amazed and excited for time to pass faster in order to have our first date. I wasn’t expecting that much for that night, but life is unpredictable and it was showing me this continuously, because I could never think of what was about to happen…

I went home and felt asleep thinking of the following day, making images of what I should wear, how I should comb my hair, how I should behave in front of that disarming beauty and that strong personality. He dominated me, I could feel it. But I was a rebel and that was what I needed.

I jumped out of bed in that morning, making a coffee real quick so I had the time to prepare. I chose a pair of slim fit jeans, betting on my sexy curves and my plumped butt that I would have him going crazy about me. I grabbed a silk, green shirt, which was falling in a provocative way off my breast, letting out the right amount of skin.

I was wearing the same subtle make-up, insisting on the lips, as I was assuming he was going to kiss me. He wouldn’t have gone through all that trouble searching information about me if he wasn’t having the most clean and sincere intentions.

We weren’t starting this on the same foot, he knew so much about me and I didn’t know a thing! Normally, I would have asked Sophie but the day of her wedding was not the time, nor the place to ask questions about somebody else.

I heard a horn. It was him! I covered myself in a thick layer of perfume, touching my neck, wrist, cleavage and hands, making sure that this would be the way to stay with him for even a longer time after he would bring me back home. A trace of my perfume was supposed to hunt him and remind him of me.

I descended the stairs quickly, not keeping him waiting for me. I was so obsessed with being punctual.

Chapter 2

He had a brand new, luxurious and convertible car. I just couldn’t believe my eyes. I was imagining his wealth, but never thought of that much. When he saw me, he got off the car, opened the passenger’s door and offered me his hand.

“Lady Stephanie, your car is waiting…” he gallantly said while he pulled me firmly with his other hand near him, looking into my eyes and giving me a kiss. This man had managed to leave me speechless and breathless twice already, and I only knew him for a total of ten minutes.

I smiled, confused, and got into the car slowly, paying attention not to ruin the rose that was waiting for me on the chair.

“Thank you, dear Sir”, I tried to answer in the same style, making hard efforts not to look troubled by what had happened.

He entered the car, starting the engine and beginning his journey to the coffee shop…or at least I thought so.

He was so good with women. He surely knew what he was doing, and for the next minutes he wasn’t saying a word, letting me take in the events.

With a glance of an eye, I was trying to imperceptibly watch him and I was surely enjoying the view. I really liked his approach. It was really hard for me to be so amazed at the first date.

I had noticed that he was wearing a rolled up shirt, showing his powerful forearms, a fancy pair of glasses, some ankle jeans and a pair of loafers.

It was like a dream to me! The Universe seemed to participate to my happiness because everything was, that day, in my favor…the sky was clear, the sun was up, no wind to bother our high-style ride and a handsome man driving me….but where?

“Where are we going, Paul?” I asked, driven by curiosity.

“It’s a surprise… just lay back and enjoy the ride, beautiful. Trust me and don’t be afraid, you will like what I have prepared for us today. I’ll make sure that you will remember our first date forever,” he said calmly, taking me by the hand and comforting me, transmitting me without words to have faith in his choices.

Oh, how I hated surprises. I’m not a surprise person, and I didn’t like not having control of what would happen. We were soon exiting the city and an awkward feeling took possession of me.  If only I knew then what I know now and that I right doubted….

Was I entitled to fear this man? I asked myself…but I was quickly finding an answer…

He is friends with Sophie; I was getting paranoid for no reason! The realistic part of me however, was thinking that it had to be something fishy in the middle of his perfect behavior.

The ride was so silent…I wasn’t asking too many questions, because I was scared of the answers.

With a trembling voice, I asked, as I saw that we were approaching some strange woods:

“Paul, I have to know where we’re going…I hate surprises and I’m kind of getting nervous,” he replied with the same easiness that he displayed from the first moment I had met him.

“You’re in my car, Stephanie… You have no other choice than to trust me… And be patient, we are nearly there.”

We entered a country road, which was obviously leading to the woods. The view was beautiful, with all those green trees full of little songbirds.

But for me, at that time, the view was only accentuating my fear and panic. I could only imagine the worst case scenario, but I kept calming myself with the thought of him being friends with my best friend.

I just couldn’t imagine how this gorgeous, elegant man would ever think to hurt a girl. It didn’t make any sense. We could have been drinking coffee right now at some nice place; I could have being enjoying him and talking about whatever nonsense people talk as their first date, instead of exploring this creepy forest.

We were near a lake when he stopped the car. For the first instant, I was thinking that maybe he had a picnic planned, as the view was perfect for this type of activity. It was the first time when I badly wanted to be wrong, to have mistaken jumping into conclusions, to think of myself as a silly, stupid naïve girl.

“Here we are, beautiful. Get out of the car, I want to make this surprise even more interesting, so I`m going to blindfold your sparkly eyes.”

My heart stopped for 10 seconds. I knew that for sure because I felt like my blood was not running through my veins anymore, and my legs felt cut from the middle.

My palms got instantly wet, and cold shivers where invading my body. I couldn’t say a thing. He turned me over and tightened my eyes with a silky handkerchief.

I felt him walking away from me, so I got even more restless. I was extremely afraid to make some kind of movement, even if my first instinct was to remove the blindfold.

The fright had detached both my body and my soul, as I was able to see myself from above, in that crazy unfolding of the events. At some point, after a few seconds that seemed like hours to me, I heard the most deafening sound. I covered my ears with my hands, still not removing the blindfold, being afraid of what I could see.

Not seeing made me feel protected in that particular instant, but the sound was so powerful that it was giving me an instant headache. It was a howl of a wolf, mixed with screams of a hurt man and strange cracklings.

The sound stopped, but I was still frozen and I couldn’t move, being under the impact of that unimaginable sound. I had to take a few seconds to gather myself, to think about what my next move should be.

I couldn’t take it anymore, and not seeing was making me uncomfortable. I had to see, I had to see what was going on and face the cruel truth: this first date would surely be my worst nightmare.

I removed the blindfold and I quickly opened my eyes. I was turned back from the lake, facing the car, but I knew that I had to turn around because that sound was coming from the edge of the lake.

I did turn around, with an agile quickness, and I couldn’t believe my eyes. I saw him, Paul, standing on the lakeshore, not moving any part of his body. I first thought that something wrong had happened to him, maybe something attacked him, and so I made a few steps closer, trying to reach him out.

With every one of my step, a monstrosity was being reveled. He was covered in fur, his hands looked like some big paws and the only thing that wasn’t touched was his upper body and his head. All of him was transformed in which seemed to be an impressive wolf.

I couldn’t make any more steps, I was petrified. A tone of questions was striking my mind.

Why did he bring me here? What is the point of all this? Who is this man and what crazy chemistry made me feel attracted for this man? Why did I accept all that? Am I so weak when it comes to handsome men?

I never had the time to give myself some answers. He lifted off the ground, as the transformation was continuing… his nose elongated into a wolf snout, his years were getting bigger and bigger and he started howling again.

A big tail grew on the back of his body, and the fur got thicker and thicker. What was at first an incredibly hot man was now a dangerous and hideous creature.

My only chance was to start running, even if I didn’t have to. We were in the middle of the woods! My chances were small, but still…I just couldn’t stay there anymore, waiting for him to attack me.

Before making my first step forward, he rushed himself over me, grabbing me by the neck, making my movements impossible. Is this how my end was supposed to be? Getting strangulated to death in some woods?

It was beyond my imagination, but I had no other choice than not to fight back. I couldn`t scream, or beg him to let me go. I felt like a leaf, helpless, that pursues her falling to the ground, driven by the wind’s blow, as it has no other alternative.

I suddenly felt that the grip loosened, making it easier for me to breath. He removed his hands from my neck, holding only my shoulders, but with the same strong grip, without hurting me though.

He had turned me towards him, and revealed himself as Paul again. I could only see all of his emptiness, because all of his clothes were ripped by the impressive measures of the wolf he had transformed into.

“I’m sorry I scared you… but you must imagine why I couldn’t tell you earlier about my condition,” he said.

My words were blocked into my choked neck and I burst into tears. I was so shocked and I didn’t want any explanations. I just wanted to turn back time to refuse his offer.

“I am a werewolf,” he continued, like he was in some kind of hurry, not waiting for me to say anything.

“I am crazy about you. Your curves left me wanting you since last night, and today when I saw you in those tight jeans and this provocative shirt, I knew that I wanted to claim you as my mate”.

I was having a really hard time trying to assimilate all of his words… Last night I was praying to hear that he wanted me, and then I was praying to get out of there alive.

He pushed me to the ground, harming me, forcing him on me. He was already naked and aroused, so the only thing he had left to do was to get me naked. I gathered all my force and I managed to push him, trying in the same time to get up on my feet, but he kept coming back with an even stronger power.

He tore my jeans with only a few movements, while I was struggling to push him away or hurt him, even if our powers were not equal whatsoever.

He was sitting on my legs because he knew that they were my strongest part, and he used his teeth to snatch my shirt’s buttons, denuding my breasts. He even managed to kiss them, trying to convince me to take him.

“I know you want me too, don’t fight it, you will only make me hornier…”He whispered… the more he whispered, the more I cried. In my twitches, something full of hope was revealed… there was this huge rock near my right hand and I could use it to hurt him.

My only hope was there and I stopped fighting, misleading him to a thought of me accepting his advances.

Pulling my undergarments on the side, so that he could finally impregnate me, he said,

“I knew you would want me eventually… I will possess you right now in a way that will make you mine forever!”

He bent his head while he was looking greedy at my wide opened legs when I struck him. With all my power, and all my thirst, I struck him upside the head, making him fall, bleeding, at my legs.

I knew that I had to run, run fast, even if I was horrified by my cruel gesture. I was running faster than I could ever run in my life. Amazing how empowering the feeling of trying to save your own life can be, the feeling to survive.

I also knew that I had to make myself heard, one way or another, because the woods were very thick and I could only imagine some else saving me. I was running, crying and screaming and desperately in need to see a friendly face.

If he woke up, he would surely find me in such a short notice. I was not only a girl; I was also a curvy one, so my running speed was starting to decrease slowly.

The night was almost there and my reactions were slowed because I was so tired. I was pushing myself over the big trees just to get a boost given the fact that my legs were already shaking.

I couldn’t remember how much I had run. It was hard to tell because my mind was mastered only by the thought to save myself. I can still feel the fear, and I woke up so many nights after reliving this crazy experience over and over again in my dreams.
