Her
face kept filling his mind, her soft hands, her soothing manner in the sitting room, her exciting presence in his bed. Her velvet cunt that stroked him like a glove, her perfect, perfect ass. The cunt and ass that belonged only to him...that nobody else enjoyed.

Now that was a very strange thought, given his lifestyle!

By the time he got home, at eleven, he was furious with his pet. It was all
her
fault that he couldn’t get her out of his head, just as he had been thinking about her all the time he was in New York. Her exquisite breasts, her talented, talented mouth.

The girl deserved a real flogging or a caning for bewitching him
.

Hmmm…Linda was still working at the Bank until next Friday because Stan Smith had made her give two weeks’ notice. He’d ask her in the morning what Olivia’s reaction to her cane welts had been. Maybe tomorrow night if Olivia seemed distressed by those welts he’d lay a pattern on that perfect little ass, to punish it before he fucked it silly.

And he wouldn’t let her come, just like he hadn’t been able to come with the two subs at The Club.

He poured himself a scotch and smiled.

He didn’t usually get off on the pain part. No, he lived for the control a Dom wielded, he loved the bondage and the sex, oh how he loved the sex, but except for the feeling of the palm of his hand on a woman’s ass, he didn’t really get off on inflicting pain…but he was looking forward to caning Olivia, to punishing her.

He never hit a woman when he was angry with her, but he was furious with kitten, and he was going to cane her.

Not wise, Graeme, not wise at all. You could really hurt her. Really, really hurt her.

First thing Monday morning, he called Linda to his offic
e
. “Linda, you’re sure about working for Michael? I was rather harsh to expect you to leave the Bank.”

“Sir, I’m ecstatic about working for Michael. Even if he doesn’t choose to make me his pet when I’ve completed my training, I will get to see him every day.

“Oh, I know I’m just dreaming, Sir, about him claiming me as his pet. Michael has his pick of any woman he meets, and he meets so many rich and beautiful women, and I’m just a plain working girl. But I adore him, Sir. Being near him will make me happy.”

“Right, I just wanted to make sure. And I have a question….what did Olivia say when she saw the cane marks on you?”

“Ah, let me think. All she said was
‘that must have hurt’
, and she looked very sympathetic. I think there might even have been tears in her eyes. Her grandfather used to beat her and strap her, you know, so she could imagine just how I felt. May I ask why you wish to know, Sir?”

“Oh…I just want to make certain she wouldn’t be shocked by what you have to tell her, and perhaps talk to Rose or Amanda, but from the sound of it, she wouldn’t say a word.”

“Oh, no, Sir, not a word. She’s very closed-mouth about things.”

“Then it’s fine that you talk.”

“Thank you, Mr. Browning.”

“How do you know about the grandfather, Linda?”

“One day about two years ago, she had bad bruises on her arm.”

“And you asked where they came from and she told you?”

Linda nodded.

“He’d flown into a rage and strapped her, and then he, he pushed her to the ground and started kicking her. I don’t think it was the first time, Sir.

Graeme wondered why he felt like a shit. No, he didn’t wonder, he knew.

“Eh, you looked lovely on Saturday night, Linda. I think Michael agrees with you.”

Linda turned scarlet with pleasure. “Thank you very much, Sir. I think so as well.”

Graeme sat at his desk, his head in his hands. What kind of a life had his kitten lived? He had a lot to think about.

He went to the Personnel Department, and without a word, went over to the cabinets that held the Employee Files. The Records Clerk looked at him rifling through the cabinet, obviously looking for something in particular. She was about to ask Mr. Browning if she could assist him, when he obviously found what he was looking for. He stood there, reading a file, and then put it back, and strode out.

The girl was curious. She looked over at the cabinet drawer. It held the “R to Z” files. She went over and opened it, but she couldn’t tell which file Mr. Browning had perused with such intensity. He had such a black look on his face. Somebody was going to get it in the neck, she thought.

Graeme sat back down in his office and reflected on the file he’d just read.

Olivia had joined the Bank directly from school when she was sixteen. Her marks had been excellent. Why hadn’t she gone on to University?

  She’d told him why not.
Her grandfather had made her go straight to work, to pay him back for raising her! Such bullshit.

Her next of kin was her grandfather, Robert Stone. She’d lived at his home until four months ago, when she moved to the dump in Hackney.

She’d started in Archives, and then moved to the Secretarial Pool a year later after she’d taken some courses that upgraded her skills.

She’d been written up for her scathing denunciation of Arthur Morris, the Head of Credit, but notes in the margin in Stan Smith’s handwriting stated that the girl had reason for her remarks. It was her careful examination of the documents Morris had given her to type that had revealed the flaw in his procedure, and she had saved the Bank tens of thousands, at least tens of thousands by exposing the errors.

Probably more than a hundred thousand pounds over the course of only a year!

Then she’d been written up for a scathing denunciation of James Reynolds in Depositor Relations, because of a letter he was about to send out to all of their smaller clients. Once again, Smith’s notes in the margin had stated she was right, that letter was cause for legal action...

Smith had passed her over for years whenever an opening she was clearly qualified for appeared, because of her critical attitude. But she was good at her job, very good at her job, and to keep her happy, Smith had allowed her to take every course she chose to from the list of higher education that the Bank encouraged its employees to study, to improve their business skills.

She’d taken eight courses so far in the time she’d been with Browning’s Mercantile Bank. A basic accounting course, a writing course slanted at presentations and speeches, and six computer related courses, starting with Word, Excel and Power Point,-- that was the one that allowed her to stop filing and get into the Secretarial Pool where she’d promptly upset old Morris -- progressing to some basic programming courses. She’d passed everything with flying colours. And now she was immersed in the ninth course, her currency trading course.

The girl couldn’t have much of a social life, with all that studying. She never took sick days, and always seemed to take the unpopular holiday slots, as if she had nowhere to go herself.
Well, if the grandfather took all her money, she didn’t.

He rang down to Security, and spoke quietly to his friend Gideon who was Head of the department, ex-army, ex-some unknown Government agency, and very good at getting information on the quiet.

Gideon called him back within the hour.

Robert Stone was in care because he was in the mid stages of dementia, and his wife because she was suffering from a heart condition, diabetes and kidney failure, probably brought on by her chronic drinking. Stone was violent. He’d always been violent, but his temper had flared out of control for the last few years, and with the dementia as well, there were times when he now had to be restrained.

There were notes that more than once, neighbours had called police because of the way he treated his grandchild, but he’d talked himself out of trouble each time
.

Graeme sat for a long time, lost in his thoughts.

TWELVE

Teatime and the talk wasof Linda’s resignation
,
and her new job that paid so much more.

Michael had set the raise in pay, and she pleased him, so he’d nearly doubled what Graeme said the Bank was paying. Why the price of the shoes alone that he loved to see her in were more than she could afford! Michael was very particular about the shoes his pets wore.

“Tell us about your new job, Linda,” demanded Amanda. “Where is it? How did you hear about it? Is it more money?”

“It‘s with a management company, they manage a few companies in the…entertainment field, clubs you know. I heard about it from somebody I know, and the salary is fantastic.”

“What’s your new boss like?” Amanda was thirsting for detail.

“Nice, very nice. I don’t think I’ll have any trouble getting on with him.”

Then Linda turned to Olivia. Time for her to change the subject before Amanda started prying for even more details. God, that girl was so nosy!

“How was your little jaunt to Newcastle upon Tyne, Olivia?”

“Oh, it was the first time I’d been up North. I took lots of pictures on my phone. Some of the countryside is quite beautiful. Look at these pictures…”

Graeme walked by as the girls were looking at the pictures on Olivia’s mobile.

“What are you looking at, ladies, naked men?”

“No, Graeme,” laughed his cousin. “Olivia took some pictures up near Newcastle while she was away, and she’s showing us.”

Rose had the phone just then, and was studying the pictures.  “I love the one of the town centre as well, Olivia. You even remembered to take a picture of my favourite fish and chip shop. You’re a pretty good photographer. You should get a proper camera and develop your talent.”

“May I see?” asked Graeme curiously, expecting that she’d taken some pictures around the Irish Estate and was telling the girls that it was Newcastle upon Tyne. The comment about the fish and chip shop piqued his interest.

“Very nice, Olivia. How long did it take you to get there?” His eyebrows rose as he looked at “
Newcastle’s Best Fish and Chippie”.

“It was a few hours either way, I went up on the overnight bus,” she said, her eyes lowered, “and came back on the bus yesterday afternoon. The bus took longer than the train, but it was cheaper.”

“It was nice to get some pictures of your holiday,” he said mildly as he handed the mobile back to Rose.

Olivia raised her eyes to see his amusement. “Yes, well, I knew the girls would like to see. Rose comes from near there, you know, so I knew she’d love to see the countryside and the town.”

“Ah…” and Graeme was gone.

Linda asked Olivia to join her for lunc
h
. They sat in the staff cafeteria, with their salads. “Are you still going to the gym every morning?”

“Oh yes, my boyfriend paid in advance, so I would be very rude to waste his money, wouldn’t I? I work out for an hour and then have breakfast there before I walk over to the Bank. They have a food bar, and serve much better breakfasts than I make myself.”

Linda smiled. “I have a new boyfriend now, Olivia.”

“Oh, do you? What’s his name?”

“Michael…he’s so handsome…I met him at The Club.”

“Oh, the manager? You said he was very handsome.”

“Yes, him. It turns out he owns The Club with his partner, who is his closest friend. He’s the man who made those cane marks, Olivia, and his partner says I can talk to you about it, because I said you are very discreet, and he knows I would like to talk about Michael.”

“Is it serious?”

“Not to him, I think. I guess it’s very presumptuous to call him my boyfriend. I wish he was my boyfriend or my Dom, really.

“He’s training me, you see, to be a submissive. He runs a course for women who want to be a pet, and a course for men to learn to be a Dom. I have a lot to learn, but oh, when he lays his hands on me, I melt. We’re eh, doing anal training now as well, privately, just the two of us, after the group classes are over.”
