“A battle.”

“Yes, retreat then charge.

Lift up, then make your way back down.”

“Ah,” she said in understanding.

Using his shoulders for balance, with both his hands on her hips now, she did as he instructed, first as slowly as she had taken him.

Then she realized she wanted more of him.

She charged and retreated over and over, speeding up with each round, finding that if she twisted occasionally it added to the feelings and caused Thorn pleasure as well, if his moans were anything to gauge his enjoyment by.

Rebekah felt like her ultimate ecstasy was just out of reach.

“Thorn, I…please…” she worried her lip as she continued to fight her battle.

She felt his fingers massaging that bundle of nerves as she continued her movements.

Rebekah felt her channel tightening in response.

She felt her breath coming in pants.

“Let go,” she heard his words penetrating her senses, and then she did.

Somewhere deep inside her an explosion erupted and her body stiffened.

Her fingernails dug into his shoulders, a cry of pleasure escaped her throat, and tears dampened her eyes.

Unable to wait any longer, Thorn flipped her onto her back, lifted her hips, and pistoned into her body once, twice, three times before finding his release.

He felt Rebekah’s legs hooking behind his thighs, pulling him in tight to her, grinding their groins together once more.

Thorn could feel a set of aftershocks coursing through her most intimate channel, delicately caressing him.

He groaned, rolling to his side and pulling her close, kissing her tenderly on the lips then kissing away the tears that had escaped her lashes.

“Did I hurt you?” he asked worriedly.

“No.

It was amazing,” she said looking into his eyes and caressing his cheek.

“Wait here,” he said pulling away from her and leaving the bed.

He crossed the room and picked up the bowl, water pitcher and cloth before crossing back to the bed.

“Roll onto your back.”

“No!” she look horrified as she realized his intention.

“I want to take care of you.

Allow me this small thing,” he said.

He received a mutinous look, but she did as ordered.

She felt embarrassed at what he was doing to her, and closed her eyes in an attempt to block it out.

When she felt him retreat, she rolled onto her side, away from him.

She heard a thunk and then the bed dipped.

Rebekah felt a hot body at her back, spooning her, holding her tight.

The covers were pulled over her and she felt her hair moved aside as kisses were dropped along her nape and shoulders.

“Did I at least win the battle?” she asked.

“I would definitely say so,” he chuckled softly.

“At least there’s that,” she said somewhat mollified as she nestled back against her husband.

***

Something awakened Thorn during the night.

He looked around the room, and everything came flooding back to him.

“What are you doing here?”

He turned in the direction of the question, only to find his wife, sprawled on her stomach, her head turned away from him.

Her brown tresses the only thing covering her back.

The bedsheets picked up the job at the base of her spine, hiding the swell of her buttocks, but not the cute little dimples just above.

Dimples that he longed to taste with just the tip of his tongue.

“No!

Stop!”

Her hands fisted beside her head.

He watched her begin to move restlessly.

She curled into herself.

“Thorn will kill you,” she whispered, tears leaking from her closed eyes.

I have to help her
, Thorn thought as he realized she was trapped in the past once more.

Had he done the wrong thing taking her to the cemetery?

If he had, it was too late at this point.

He had to find some way to ease her current pain, then they would work on the long-term.

He attempted to pull her against him, but she fought him, gripping the mattress in her sleep.

A thought came to him.

He looked around her room and saw what he needed on her dresser.

Wulfe stood and crossed the room, taking the jar.

Removing the lid, he was overwhelmed by the smell of Rebekah, just the slightest hint of mint.

Carrying the jar of cream across the room, he scooped some out on his fingers before placing it on the side table next to the glass of brandy and soaking sponges.

He felt his body tighten, but forced himself to push aside his lust.

Thorn crawled up on the bed, rubbing his hands together and warming the lotion.

He did not seek permission, he spoke no words of warning, he merely placed a gentle hand on her back.

He felt her tremble beneath his touch.

“Shhh,” he attempted to calm her.

In the beginning he only made soothing circles.

At some point she relaxed beneath him and relaxed.

He heard her sniff occasionally, but he could not tell if she were awake or had gone back to sleep.

Thorn reached for the jar and scooped some more cream into his hand.

This time, he did not take the time to warm it.

“That’s cold,” Rebekah sputtered, fisting the sheets for a moment.

“It will warm quickly,” he answered as he moved her hair aside and began kneading her shoulders and nape.

He could feel the knots her muscles had worked themselves into.

There were so many that it could not have happened during their marriage.

No, these knots had been there for months, years even, never allowing her to relax.

“That hurts,” she clawed at the sheets, biting her lower lip.

“Now, yes, and I am sorry for that, but just wait until they are all gone.

You will feel like a new woman,” he said.

“Perhaps I should only work on one or two for now though,” Thorn said as he watched her bury her face in the pillow and nod her head in agreement.

He worked on the largest knots, and once satisfied he had rid her of the worst, he continued on with the massage.

Making sure his touch was tender, he worked the lotion into her back, playing with the dimples right above her buttock.

Then he pulled the sheet back uncovering the smooth alabaster globes of her sexy bottom and long legs. He gently cupped one of the orbs.

“What are you doing?” Rebekah raised up onto her elbows, turning her head to glare at him.

“Admiring my wife, every part of her,” he said.

“Well, don’t,” she instructed and started to flip over.

“Oh, no, you don’t.

You stay right where you are,” he commanded, straddling her, not caring that his member continued to throb in painful awareness of their proximity.

“Can’t you put that away?” she asked, a disgusted note to her voice.

“We’ve already taken care of that.”

“He reacts this way upon seeing a beautiful, vivacious woman like yourself, and I’m afraid you are going to find out that you can do this more than once a night.”

“You are joking,” she scoffed, looking at him over her shoulder.

When she took in the expression on his face and then lowered her gaze, her eyes widened.

“You’re serious.”

“Extremely,” he said before bending over and dropping nibbling kisses along her lips.

“But we already…” she tried again, between kisses.

“I want you,” Thorn said hoarsely, “again and again and again.

My body craves your touch as a thirsting man craves water, or a starving man craves food.”

He pulled her hair to the side so that he could better access her neck and shoulders.

He began to drop kisses along her heated skin and smiled as he noticed the change in her breathing.

She was not unaffected by his touch.

Good.

He followed the line of her spine, kissing and caressing as he went.

Thorn quickly turned and began massaging each leg in turn.

He climbed off of her and reached for a sponge.

He ached to take her now, as she was, sprawled on her stomach, but he knew she would fight him.

Thorn heard her gasp as he pushed the sponge deep within her body.

He teased and tormented her body until she raised her bottom towards him.

No, she would hate him afterwards.

Perhaps another time.

Instead, he gently rolled her onto her side, lying behind her.

He tilted her hips back just slightly and lifted her leg to drape over his, opening her to him.

“What are you doing?” Rebekah exclaimed.

“Trust me,” he said, kissing her and entering her body at the same time.

He deepened the kiss when she gasped and gently massaged her breasts, teasing the peaks into hardened points.

“This isn’t possible,” she gasped as she pulled away from him.

Small movements from him were causing her pulse to soar and small tremors to race through her body.

“It is,” he continued his slow, languorous movements.

They spent their time like this, gently enjoying one another, before he felt her body’s demands change.

It was subtle, but he could feel her inner muscles constrict around him.

She had actually become a player in their love play.

He smiled against her shoulder as he continued his gentle movements.

He whispered words of nonsense in her ear, he told her how beautiful she was to him, and he teased her neck and earlobes with his tongue and teeth.

“More,” Rebekah demanded, reaching behind her, threading her hand through his hair.

“Do you trust me?” he asked hoarsely.

“In this,” she answered.

He rolled her onto her belly before grabbing his pillow and jamming it under her tummy, then he gripped her hips and entered her once more.

Thorn felt his thrusts go deeper than before.

He knew she felt it as well because before long, she was scooting her knees under her in an instinct born of nature, offering him a better angle.

Together, they began thrusting against one another, each seeking a completion to the fire boiling through their veins.

He felt himself swelling even more with each meeting.

He refused to reach his fulfillment without her and reached around to fondle that special place of hers.

She was so close that as soon as he applied pressure, she found her release, screaming into the pillow.

Her inner muscles naturally milked his member as he slammed into her harshly once more before following her over the edge.

Thorn fell over her, his arms stiff and bracing himself above her so as not to crush her.

Only when his arms grew shaky did he collapse to his side, taking her with him.

They remained that way for some time until he felt her squirm out of his arms.

I have pushed her too far
, he thought.

I asked too much of her and now she is frightened and will run.

To his surprise she rolled towards him, wrapping herself about him, throwing a leg over his.

He felt her hands on his cheeks, angling his mouth down so that she could kiss him.

“When can you do that again?” she asked.

“What?”

“I want to do that again.

Well perhaps not that way, but another,” she blushed before burying her face in his neck.

He tipped her chin up to look at him.

“Rebekah, are you saying you enjoy this physical intimacy?”

“Yes,” she whispered, looking into his eyes.

“I had no idea it could feel like that.”

“You don’t know how glad I am to hear you say that.”

Relief tinged his voice.

“Oh, I can imagine.

Don’t think I don’t know that you are quite the rogue.

I imagine as many stories that circulate about you, at least some have to be true.”

“No more, though.

You must remember that no matter what you hear, you are the only woman for me.

I am dedicated to you and our marriage.”

The look in his brown eyes took her breath away, leaving her only able to nod in the affirmative.

“I promise you, some day we will have a normal life.”
