When he was finished Knox pulled out of her.
Cat sighed a little bit, sad that it was over. She felt Knox behind
her, wiping her and his wetness away with a soft piece of fabric.
She lay on the desk and let him clean her. After he was done he
pulled her dress back down over her and walked around to his desk
chair until he was facing Cat. Self-conscious but satisfied, she
turned to him and looked him in the eye. He sat down, only a few
inches from her face, and pulled another soft piece of fabric out
from the top drawer of his desk. Cat saw that it was a blue
handkerchief, monogramed with the letters “K S.” Knox leaned
towards her and wiped her face, cleaning the streaks of tears from
her hot cheeks. When he was done, Cat finally pulled herself up,
not knowing what to expect next. Knox leaned back in his chair,
studying her then finally he spoke. “Go on home Catherine,” he said
in his steely voice. “Put some ice on yourself and take a warm
bath. When you can sit down again, come back into work, and this
time please dress appropriately. You should be fine by Monday, and
I’ll expect you to catch up right away on the days you’ll miss, or
you’ll have another punishment. Do we understand each other?”

“Yes Mr. Stowe,” said Cat, backing slowly out
of the office. She was being dismissed, but wasn’t being fired. As
Cat gathered her purse and left the Hudson Building she felt
excited and nervous for Monday. What kind of punishment would Mr.
Stowe have for her then?
