Read The Bet (Addison #2) Online
Authors: Erica M. Christensen
The sun is shining, the water is warm, and Lucas is lying next to me with a cold beer in his hand. Everything about this day is perfect already and it’s not even noon. Hidden behind my sunglasses, my gaze travels up his perfect body. I want him, now. I sit up quickly.
“Come on. Let’s go.” Lucas moves his shades up to look at me.
“Go where?”
I grab his hand and help him get up. “Don’t ask questions.” I lead him into his condo, take his beer out of his hands and set it on the kitchen counter. I lead him down the hallway filled with paint buckets, and into his room.
“What are you doing?” He laughs.
“I said don’t ask questions.” I push him onto his bed and crawl over the top of him, legs straddling his midsection.
“I thought about it, and we had breakfast, lunch, and dinner for six days in a row. We also went sightseeing, to art galleries, and museums. We went to the beach multiple times and slept in the same room together. We’ve already fooled around a little bit, and I won the bet. So, I’m ready for it

. I want it and I want it now. Give it to me.” He pulls my head down to his and kisses me passionately. He unties my bikini top and flips me over on his bed. I firmly grasp the hidden bulge in his swim trunks. I’m going to die. He’s going to fucking kill me. He groans and rips my bikini bottoms off of me, then runs his palms up my thighs and up to my bare breast, giving a tight squeeze. I moan and attempt to sit up, to get a better grip on his trunks to pull them down.
“No, no, no. This isn’t about me right now, this is about you. You want it all, so I’m giving you everything.” He bites his bottom lip. “Now where did I leave off last time…when I was rudely interrupted?” He shoots me a devilish smirk. His smoldering eyes glance down to my center, spreading fire through my veins. He plants soft wet kisses on my hipbone, then his wet lips stamp my clit, sending sparks from my head to my toes. He dips his tongue in and out of me, swirls it around my center. My hands find his hair and I roughly tug. Lucas gently slides my clit through his teeth, and plants one last kiss before his lips travel up my body and over my nipple, then to my neck.
“You’re delicious,” he whispers gruffly in my ear and nibbles my earlobe. My center is aching for him. I sit up and tug at his swim trunks. Holy fucking shit balls. My hands begin to shake nervously. Lucas reaches into his nightstand and pulls a condom out of his wallet, rolls it down over his dick, then his lips return to mine.
“Are you sure you want to do this?” he mutters softly.
“What did I say about asking questions? Of course I want this. I want you.” He kisses those words off my lips and I suddenly fall short of breath. A moan escapes my mouth as his length consumes me. My fingers dig into his back involuntarily and he grunts. Thrusting his hips, his length slides back and forth inside of me.
“God, Addison. You feel so amazing,” he murmurs and bites his bottom lip.
Hearing his voice spill out my name sends chills up and down my spine. My legs squirm. Lucas slips his hand down between us and places his finger on my clit. He moves his finger vigorously in circular motions, clockwise and then counterclockwise, sending my back into an arch. My toes curl and my fingertips go numb. He thrusts deep into me and I let out a loud scream. His body tenses as he releases inside of me. Lucas kisses my neck up to my lips then collapses beside me, both of our chests heaving and our bodies beaded with sweat. I attempt to move my hand to his face to bring him to me for another kiss, but I come to find that my hands are numb! My hands are fucking numb. This has never happened to me in my entire life.
“What did you do to me?” I laugh nervously. Lucas glances at me and his gaze explores my body, then stops at my hands, which are experiencing some slight paralysis. He smiles big and lifts my hand up, investigating it.
“Addison, that’s a sign of a good orgasm. Have you never felt that before?”
I gulp down my nervousness and mutter, “No.” My cheeks burn in embarrassment, his eyes widen in shock.
“Well, if you can give me about ten minutes to recover, I’ll gift you another one.” He smirks and leans over top of me to kiss my forehead.

Lucas puts on his long sleeve shirt and protective vest, jeans, boots, and spurs, then his cowboy hat. Hot damn, I’m thinking I’m ready for round two. I walk up behind him and get on my tip-toes to kiss the back of his neck. He smiles in the mirror, straightening his cowboy hat.
“I’m excited for you to see me tonight.”
“So am I!” I turn him around to hug him. “I’m nervous, though,” I admit.
“Why? There’s nothing to be nervous about, doll,” he reassures me and kisses my temple. We go to his kitchen, where he rummages through his cabinets looking for a snack.
“Will I need to bring this?” I pick up his broom.
“What the hell would you need to bring a broom for?” He raises his eyebrow.
“You know, to shoo away all of the girls that will be falling at your boots.” I wink at him and bite my lip.
“You won’t need to worry about that.” Lucas smiles and pulls out some peanut butter from the cabinet next to his microwave. “Want a peanut butter sandwich?” he offers, making me think of my mom and Thomas. I wonder if they would want to come to the rodeo tonight.
“I’d love one, thank you. Do you mind if I invite my mom and her boyfriend tonight?”
“No, I don’t mind. I’d love to meet them.”
I’m hoping that with my mom and Thomas at the rodeo I won’t be as nervous. They can distract me a little bit, maybe. My nerves are going crazy over this and I don’t know why. I have a terrible feeling in the pit of my stomach, like something bad is going to happen to him. He hasn’t been practicing much these past couple weeks due to his busy schedule and I feel like I’m at fault. Aside from all of that I’m nervous simply because this will be the first time I’ll see him ride…a bull, that is.
