Sebastian’s eyes widened in shock a moment before closing as he visibly attempted to keep a reign on his temper. “Gabrielle…I bought those paintings the night I met you because they spoke to me. Not quite as poignantly as you yourself did,” he couldn’t help but smile as she flushed at the memory. “But I adored them on sight. I’d intended to hang them in the manor…but then everything changed. My mother had them destroyed because she wanted to hurt you. But you’ll make new ones…and I’ll buy each and every one of them because I plan on hoarding you completely to myself for as long as I’m allowed.”
A soft laugh escaped her. It had never occurred to her that Sebastian had such a possessive side.
Though it was devastating to know that most of her work had been torn apart, she could live with the promise of new pieces and new opportunities. She would, after all, have the trials and tribulations of motherhood from which to draw inspiration.
“We’re going to be poor.” She jibed softly. “I was never an oil heiress. And you’re not an earl anymore.”
Sebastian snorted. “Do you honestly think that so much of my wealth comes from my title? A little faith, Gabrielle, please. I’m a businessman – first and foremost.”
“And I’m an artist.” She returned with a small smile. “Can you really deal with that for the rest of your life?”
Sebastian chuckled, stroking his thumb lingeringly over her lips. As his eyes found the love shining in her own, Gabrielle knew that she hardly needed to ask. “It doesn’t matter what we are, darling. All that matters is what we create together.” Bending over, he kissed the top of Evangeline’s head softly. “And we’ve produced a masterpiece.”

My name is Cristina Grenier and I have been writing stories for as long as I could remember . I’m a sucker for romance. I draw from past experiences and from others around me when I write. I enjoy creating characters that everyone can relate to.
Besides writing, I also enjoy painting and figure drawing. I’m a bit of a homebody, my ideal night consists of a chilled bottle of wine, some pasta and Netflix. I really hope you enjoy the stories I create.
