He moaned as her inner muscles tightened helplessly around
his cock.  Her legs fell away and he moved his hands down to her thighs.  He
held her up, his fingers pressing deep into her pale flesh as he searched for
his own release.

Hannah opened her eyes to see Will throw his head back in
ecstasy, the cords standing out in his neck as he came.  A low howl was
starting in his throat and she threw her hand over his mouth, muffling the
sound.

He collapsed against her, keeping her pinned up against the
wall as she put her arms around him and rested her head on one broad shoulder.
Her breathing was just returning to normal when he suddenly jerked against her
and pulled away.  She would have dropped to the floor if he hadn’t caught her
and steadied her on her feet.

He backed away from her, and she frowned at the look of
shame in his eyes.

“Will?  What’s wrong?”

“Oh my God.  Hannah, I - I’m sorry.”  He moaned in a low,
strangled voice as he backed away from her.  He lifted his head, his face
pointed to the ceiling, and she watched mesmerized as he transformed into a
wolf.  He howled, a loud and desolate sound that vibrated the walls, and she
clapped her hands to her ears as he turned and bounded from the room.

All around her she could hear the sounds of people opening
doors.  Excited calls were starting to drift down the hallway, and with a muttered.
“Shit!” Hannah grabbed her torn panties and fled back to her room.

She had just left the common room when a small figure, her
red hair gleaming softly in the light of the fireplace, emerged from the
shadows on the far side of the room.  Leanne, her face an angry scowl, walked
to the door of the room.  She glanced both ways and then slipped unnoticed down
the empty hallway.

Hannah, her lungs burning from the cold morning air, groaned
as she stretched her sore thigh muscles.  Beside her, Selena grinned.  “What’s
up with you?  That was barely a five mile run.”

Hannah shrugged, willing herself not to blush.  The soreness
in her thighs had nothing to do with the morning run, and everything to do with
last night in the common room with Will.  Her stomach tightened with pleasure
and need at the memory.  She sighed irritably.  Will had turned her into a sex
maniac.

As if her very thoughts had summoned him, Will appeared in
front of her.  “Hannah, can I speak to you in private for a moment?”

He looked pointedly at Selena who gave him a weak grin, and
left to join the others walking back to the facility.

As soon as she was out of earshot, Will turned to face her.
Hannah blinked at him.  He looked tired and drawn, his face filled with worry.

“Did I hurt you?”  He asked hoarsely.

“What?”

“Last night – did I hurt you?”  He said it again, his voice
trembling anxiously.

“No, of course you didn’t.”  She paused.  “You don’t
remember what happened?”

He nodded, his hands clenched behind his back in a tight
fist.  “I do – mostly.”

She had never seen him like this before.  He was pale and
trembling, and when he looked at her she could see the same look of shame in his
eyes that had been there last night.

“Will?  What’s wrong?”  She reached for his arm and he
jerked away from her.

“I told you to stay away last night.”  He looked at her accusingly.
“Why didn’t you stay away from me?”

She didn’t know how to answer that so she just stared
silently at him.

“Hannah, are you sure I didn’t hurt you last night?  Tell me
the truth please.”  He finished in a low whisper.

“I swear to God you didn’t hurt me. I – “ she paused,
blushing a little, “I enjoyed it, Will. Very much.”

She saw a flash of desire in his eyes before he looked away
from her.  When he turned back there was nothing but remorse and sorrow in
them.

“Please don’t look at me like that.”  She begged.  “I’m fine
– nothing bad happened.”

“But it could have.”  He insisted.  “When the moon is full,
I - sometimes I lose control.”  The urge to mate, like the urge to hunt and
feed, was always stronger during the full moon.  Lycans who preferred the
company of human women knew better than to be around them during the full
moon.  A Lycan female could easily handle them but a human woman could be badly
hurt.

He thought back to how rough he had been with Hannah last
night.  He had kept control, but just barely, and despite the cold air his
entire body was sweating.  If he had lost control, had done the unthinkable –
he would never have been able to live with himself.

“Will.”  Hannah said softly.  “Look at me.  You didn’t hurt
me.  I’m perfectly fine.”  There was no way she was letting him see the deep
bruises on her thighs from where his hands had clamped onto her.

“I could have bitten you!”  He roared suddenly.

She glanced around nervously but the others had already
disappeared into the old shack that served as the hidden entrance to the
underground facility.

“But you didn’t.”  She soothed.

“But I could have.”  He argued.  “Hannah, if I had bitten
you during the full moon, you would have turned.  Do you understand that?”

She nodded.  “Yes.  But you didn’t bite me and I’m not going
to turn.”

“But I wanted to.”  He gave her a look filled with such
misery that her heart hurt for him.  “I wanted to bite you and if I had, I
would never have forgiven myself.”

“You didn’t.”  She repeated, not knowing what else to say.

“We need to stay away from each other.  Please.”  He said
pleadingly.

She bit her lip and nodded.  “I know.”

“Promise me.”

“I promise.”

He nodded gratefully, and she turned and headed towards the
facility before he could see the hot tears spilling down her cheeks.

Chapter 14

She rolled off of him, her naked body slick with sweat.  She
stretched out on the bed, and hid the annoyance on her face when he leaned over
her and kissed her lightly on the lips.

“That was amazing.”  Darren grinned at her and leaned down
to kiss her again.  She turned her face so his mouth grazed across her cheek
instead.

He frowned a little and then kissed the tip of her nose.  “What’s
wrong?”

“Nothing.”  She shrugged.

He laughed.  “Liar.  You’re being too quiet.”

She studied him carefully.  “How many of the instructors
sleep with recruits?”

“Why?”

“I’m just curious.  What happens if you get caught?”

“No one ever gets caught.  We all do it, so we all cover for
each other.”

“All of you?”

He leaned down and kissed her neck.  “Almost all of us.  Chen
and Will don’t.”

She snorted.  “Will does.”

He frowned at her.  “No, Leanne.  I’m pretty sure he
doesn’t.”

“After I left your apartment last night, I saw him having
sex with Hannah in the common room.”

He stared at her thunderstruck.  “You’re fucking kidding
me.”

She shook her head.  “Nope.”

He stared blankly at the ceiling.  “On the night of a full
moon.  Christ, she’s either bat shit crazy or has a death wish.”

“What do you mean?”

He looked down at her.  “I know you think being with a Lycan
is no big deal.  I get that all you girls giggle and fantasize about being fucked
by the big, scary werewolf, but that’s because Will is the only Lycan you’ve
met.  Trust me when I say that most werewolves are violent and unpredictable.
Will has lived with humans for years.  He has the most control of any Lycan
I’ve ever met, but that doesn’t mean he can’t lose his shit like every other
fucking Lycan I’ve run into.”

She rolled her eyes.  “Don’t you think you’re exaggerating,
just a little?”

He shook her lightly.  “No, I’m not.  I’ve heard stories of
human women being killed while having sex with a Lycan during the full moon.
They didn’t mean to kill them.  They just – just lost control.”

She was frowning at him and now it was his turn to roll his
eyes.  “Jesus, do you pay attention to anything Isabelle teaches you?”

He brushed his hand across her naked thigh.  “Lycans, even
the more civilized ones like Will, are different the night of the full moon.
They have a harder time controlling the shift.  Their basic urges for things
like hunting and feeding and sex are stronger and harder to resist.  If they
don’t want trouble, and most of them don’t, they stay away from humans during
the full moon - even the ones who are fully integrated into the human world.
If a Lycan bites you the night of the full moon, you turn.”

She sucked in her breath and he nodded with satisfaction.
“Now you’re getting it.  The full moon makes it nearly impossible for Will to
control himself, and yet he actually had sex with a human that night.”

He looked back down at her.  “Are you sure he didn’t bite
her?”

“I’m sure.”

“She’s damn lucky he didn’t kill her.”

“Trust me, she enjoyed every minute of it.”  Leanne said
bitterly.

He stared at her in disgust.  “You’re jealous.”

“What does she have that I don’t?”  She whined.  “I’ve
practically thrown myself at him a dozen times.”

He pinned her arms down.  “Have you listened to anything I’ve
just told you?  Stay away from the Lycan.  If you want it rough baby, I can do
rough.”

He tried to kiss her and she swore violently.  “Get off me, Darren!”

He pushed away from her and stretched out on the bed as she
stood and began to get dressed.  As she pulled her shoes on and walked towards
the door of his tiny apartment, Darren sat up.  “You come and see me any time
you need that itch scratched, Leanne.  Okay?”

She flipped him the bird, making him grin, and disappeared
silently into the hallway.

Darren flopped back on the bed and stared thoughtfully at
the ceiling.  He had been flirting with Hannah since the moment she had started
his class but she had completely ignored it.  He had actually started to
believe that she either didn’t understand flirting or wasn’t into men.  Had
wondered, in fact, if she maybe had a thing for that Selena bird, but
apparently she just had a thing for freaks.

He grinned up at the ceiling and closed his eyes.  He might
just have a chance with her after all.

Early the next morning, Leanne stormed out of the west
training room.  Will had been in the room alone, working out, and she had taken
the chance to be alone with him.  Since the moment she had witnessed him and
Hannah having sex, she couldn’t get it out of her head.

She had wanted Will even before she saw him fucking Hannah but
now that she knew what he was capable of, the need was like a living thing
inside of her.  She had gone back to Darren in hopes of relieving some of that
need but it hadn’t helped.  Even Darren’s warnings couldn’t dissuade her.  It
was Will she wanted, and in her entire twenty-four years she had never been
rejected so soundly by a man.

She had stumbled upon him this morning by sheer luck and,
feeling desperate and horny, she had thrown herself at him.  He had gently but
firmly rejected her - just like he had the previous twenty times she had begged
him to sleep with her.

“Leanne, it’s against the rules. You know that.”  He had
said gently.

She had kissed him then, shoving her tongue eagerly into his
mouth and trying to slip her hand into his pants.  A flash of annoyance had crossed
his face and he had yanked her hand away.

“Enough, Leanne.  I’ve been patient with you for long
enough.”  He had warned tersely.  “If you keep up this behavior, I’ll have no
choice but to report you to Richard.  I do not sleep with recruits.”

“Of course you don’t, Will.”  She had replied sulkily.  “Especially
not during a full moon.”

His hand had tightened painfully around her wrist and her
body had filled with excitement.

“What did you say?”  He had asked softly.

“I was just agreeing with you.”  She had said innocently.

“Are you threatening me?”  He had pulled her closer until
she could feel the heat from his body.

She had licked her lips, so turned on she could feel her
body trembling.  “Kiss me – please, Will.” She had whispered.

He had stared at her for a long moment, noting the flush in
her cheeks and the desire in her eyes.  He had pushed her away then, his face filled
with disgust.  “Get out of here, Leanne.”

Now, stumbling down the hallway with tears coursing down her
face, she could feel the desire finally dissipating.  It was replaced with a
white hot anger and she made a sudden decision.  She turned and headed towards
Richard’s office.

Hannah sighed as Darren put his arms around her and steadied
the gun she was holding.  It was her final individual lesson with Darren, and
she couldn’t have been happier about it.  For weeks he had been hitting on her,
both in the group and individual lessons, and she was tired of it.  Yesterday
Richard had told her that starting in a couple of days she would be training
almost exclusively with Chen, and she had nearly hugged him with delight.

“Hannah?  Hey - pay attention.”  Darren teased; his face
only inches from hers.

She moved her head back.  “I am.  Can you give me a bit more
space please?”

He shrugged lazily.  “Learn to hold the gun properly and I
won’t have to keep putting my arms around you like this.”

“I know how to hold a gun properly.”  She said hotly.

He laughed.  “Yeah, you do.”  He leaned in and kissed her
hard on the mouth.

She tore her mouth free, wiping her hand across her mouth in
disgust before elbowing her way out of his embrace.  “What the hell, Darren?”

He paused and then pushed her back against the wall, dipping
his head and nipping her on her exposed collarbone.  “I know you like it rough,
honey.  I can be rough.”
