Tiffany woke to bright sunshine streaming in the French doors they’d left open the night before and Blaine’s naked body curled around hers from behind. They only slept naked on the nights that Ashleigh stayed with her father or grandparents, and they had the house to themselves.

With his hand warm, large and possessive on her belly, Tiffany sighed with contentment and was on her way back to sleep when her eyes shot open. Holy hell! They were getting married today! She had no time to be lounging about in bed! She had to get up and shower and do something with her hair and what time was Ashleigh due home, and
oh my God
! They were getting married today!

She threw off the covers and was on her way out of bed when he dragged her back against him.

“Not so fast.”

“I have so much to do!”

“It’s six thirty, Tiff. You’ve got plenty of time.”

“Spoken like a true guy who takes a shower, shakes the water out of his hair, throws on some clothes and gets married.”

“For your information, I also plan to shave for the occasion.” To make his point, he rubbed his whiskers on the back of her shoulder, giving her goose bumps.

“Please don’t. You know how I love your stubble.”

“My mother would never forgive me if I don’t shave for my own wedding.”

“Your wife will never forgive you if you do.”

“Oh, baby, you drive a hard bargain.” He flexed his hips and pressed his erection into the cleft of her bottom as his hand covered her breast.

She was so, so easy where he was concerned. All he had to do was touch her and she was ready for anything he wanted to give her. And right now was no exception, despite her staggering to-do list and a two o’clock ceremony planned at the lighthouse.

While he tweaked her nipple, she thought about how fast their plans had come together. Jenny had offered up the lighthouse for an afternoon wedding, Mac and Maddie had taken care of all the food and drinks as well as getting the word out to all their mutual friends that a special surprise was planned for the cookout.

Tiffany had even found the perfect dress in the latest shipment to the store. It was a rich ivory with spaghetti straps and a large, bright, orangey-red flower positioned over her hip. A slit up the side of the dress ran through the middle of the flower. A tad bit unconventional, the dress was perfect for her, and she had no doubt Blaine would love it. She’d ordered bouquets of red and orange Gerbera daisies for herself as well as Ashleigh and Maddie.

The only remaining question was whether Ashleigh’s white eyelet Easter dress still fit her, which they would determine when Jim brought her home later this morning. Tiffany couldn’t wait to share the wedding news with her daughter, who would be thrilled. Ashleigh loved Blaine as much as Tiffany did, which was probably why Jim had made such a stink about Blaine moving in with them. He felt threatened by the other man in his daughter’s life.

“What’re you thinking about?” Blaine asked as he kissed his way down her back.

“If I told you, you might think I don’t like what you’re doing.”

He took a bite of her bum, which made her squeak with surprise. “Tell me.”

“I was thinking that the reason Jim is so mad about you moving in is because he’s probably figured out that Ashleigh likes you better than him.”

“That was never my goal.”

“I know, but you’re so good with her. When you’re with her, you give her your undivided attention. Jim has never done that. He’s always face-first in his phone or watching the game or doing anything he can to not engage with her. That’s why I hate when she spends the night with him. I always worry that she’s going to get hurt when he’s not paying attention.”

“For all his faults, he loves her, Tiff. He’d never let anything happen to her.”

“I know. You’re right, but still, I like it so much better when she’s here with us.”

“So do I, but I gotta say, I also love the sleep-naked nights. I love them a whole lot.”

Tiffany laughed at his lecherous tone and pushed her bottom back against him, making him groan.

“I want to make love to my fiancée. Since it was the shortest engagement in history, we haven’t had anywhere near enough engagement sex.”

“Only if we do it like this. You aren’t supposed to see me on our wedding day. It’s bad luck, and I’ve had more than enough of that.”

“Your luck’s about to change, baby. I’ll do everything I can to make sure of it.”

“Have I mentioned yet today that I love you so, so much?”

“I don’t think you have.”

“Well, I do. And I’m so excited for today and every day to come.”

“So am I. I can’t wait until you’re officially my wife.”

“Oh my God! Blaine! What about rings?”

“I’ve got that covered. Don’t worry.”

“How in the word did you manage that with only two days?”

He reached around to caress between her legs. “Mmm, I love that you’re always ready for me.”

“All you have to do is look at me, and I’m ready.”

“That’s good to know. I plan to look at you a lot when we’re married.”

He made her laugh. He made her smile like a foolish teenager in love for the first time. He made her feel safe. He made her feel sexy and desired. He made her feel so many things in the course of every day that she could barely process them all. Most important of all, he made her feel like she mattered more to him than any other thing in the world. He was everything to her, and he always would be.

When he had stroked her to the edge of climax, he coaxed her onto her knees and entered her from behind. As always, the tight fit heightened her arousal and forced every thought that didn’t involve him and the exquisite way he loved her from her mind.

“God, I love your sweet ass,” he said gruffly as he cupped and squeezed her cheeks, “and the way you give yourself to me anytime I want you. I’ve got to be the luckiest guy in the whole world.”

His words and his hands and the firm strokes of his hard cock combined to give her a world-class orgasm that felt like it went on forever. Just when she thought it was done, he would roll her nipples between his fingers or press on her clit or surge into her and hit that spot deep inside that triggered another wave of release.

“Blaine,” she said, gasping.

“What, baby?”

“You’re killing me.”

“No, I’m not,” he said with a laugh. “You can take it.”

“I don’t think I can take any more.”

“Give me one more, and I’ll let you go.”

“You’ve already gotten four out of me!” Tiffany hadn’t believed multiples were even possible until he’d proven otherwise.

“One more. Consider it your wedding gift to me.”

“So I won’t have to do this again later?”

For that comment, she received a resounding smack to the ass that fired her up all over again.

“That’s my girl. I love how wet you get when I spank you.” To make his point, he did it again, setting her other cheek on fire, and sure enough, Tiffany found herself on the brink of another orgasm. “Come on, baby. Let me feel you clamp down on me. Make my eyes roll back in my head.”

He gave it to her hard and fast, keeping up a relentless tempo.

“You’re…showing off your stamina…again,” she said.

Grunting out a laugh, he went for broke, grasping her hips and hammering into her until he got exactly what he wanted from her. Only then did he let himself go, too.

They landed in a sweaty heap on the bed, breathing hard and still throbbing from the aftershocks. And damn if he wasn’t still hard inside her. How did he do that?

“This is going to be the most awesome marriage in the history of awesome marriages,” he said in a husky whisper while he planted kisses on her shoulder that made her shiver beneath him.

“If you don’t get off me and get out of here, I’m going to look like a hag when you marry me.”

“Not possible, but I’ll give you your time to primp as long as you promise you won’t be one minute late.”

“I’ll be there. Nothing could keep me from you—today or any day.”

He surged and thickened inside her.

“Blaine!”

Chuckling, he withdrew from her. “I’m going. I’m going.”

“Save it for the honeymoon.” Tiffany buried her face in the pillow so she wouldn’t be tempted to watch him move around the room in all his naked glory. Feeling languid and relaxed after the orgasmic frenzy, she stayed there while he showered and got dressed.

With a hand on either side of her, he bent over the bed and kissed the back of her neck. “The next time I see you, it’s for keeps.”

“I can’t wait.”

“Neither can I. I feel like I’ve been waiting my whole life for today to get here.”

Tiffany took his hand and pressed a kiss to his palm. “Go before I’m tempted to drag you back into bed.”

“Mmm, that’s not much incentive to leave.”

“Go!”

“I’m not feeling the love.”

“I’ll make it up to you later.”

“Yes, you will,” he said, dragging his hand down her back for one last ass squeeze. “Jesus, Tiff.” He leaned over, his head resting on her back. “I can’t believe you’re really going to marry me. I feel like I’m living in some sort of dream or something.”

“Me, too,” she said softly, moved to tears by his words.

“I expect today to be one of the best days of my life, but before all the craziness, I want you to know that the very best day of my life was the first time I ever saw you, sitting on Maddie’s bed in the clinic. I knew right then and there that you were meant for me.” He kissed the middle of her back and strode briskly from the room.

Tiffany used the pillowcase to mop up her tears. She heard the door close downstairs and got up to find a robe as her first order of business was coffee. Halfway down the stairs, the sound of raised voices from the driveway drifted in through the open window and had her running for the back door. She threw open the door to find Jim attempting to stare down Blaine with Ashleigh looking between them like a frightened doe.

“Hey, Ash,” Tiffany said. “Come see Mommy.”

Ashleigh broke free of Jim’s loose hold and bolted for her mother.

Tiffany was ready to scoop her up and hug her close. “Hi, baby.”

“Daddy is mad at Blaine.” Her quivering chin made Tiffany want to harm her ex-husband for picking a fight in front of their daughter.

“Will you do me a great big favor and go up to your room and unpack your bag?” Ashleigh’s room was on the far side of the house, so that would get her away from any potential trouble in the driveway. “I’ll be right there, and I have a very big surprise for you.”

“Okay, Mommy.”

Tiffany kissed her cheek and put her down. “That’s my good girl.”

Ashley dragged her Dora the Explorer overnight bag behind her as she went into the house.

The second the door clicked shut behind Ashleigh, Tiffany turned on Jim. “What’s the problem?”

“I told you I don’t want him around here,” he said, glaring at Blaine, who seemed to be holding back the urge to pummel Jim, which he could easily do.

“Who I spend time with is no longer your concern. You got exactly what you wanted. You’re no longer married to me. So please go about your business and stay the hell out of mine.”

“Your business is my business when it affects my daughter.”

“Unlike you, I have
always
put my daughter first and will continue to do so for the rest of my life. You disposed of me like a piece of trash you had no use for, so don’t come around here now and think you have any say whatsoever in how I live my life.”

“You’re going to be very sorry if you don’t do what you’re told.”

“Are you
for real
?” Blaine took a step closer to Jim so he could poke him in the chest. Jim stumbled backward but recovered his footing before he fell. “Did you seriously just
threaten
her in front of me? Do you have any idea how much trouble I could cause for you if I wanted to? Do you have any idea that your beautiful daughter is the
only
reason I haven’t already turned your life on this island into a living hell? I have too much respect for
her
to tell everyone how much of an asshole her father is. But you better listen up when I tell you I will not hesitate to do everything within my power to ruin you if you don’t leave your
ex-wife
alone. Your behavior is borderline harassment, and if it comes down to my word against yours,
no one
will believe you. So get the hell out of here, and go live the life you wanted without her. Other than your daughter, there’s nothing for you here anymore.”

Jim’s face had turned bright red, but he wisely turned on his heel and stormed off. If only Tiffany could believe that they’d heard the last from him on the subject.

Blaine waited until he’d left the property before he turned to Tiffany. “Are you okay?”
