Today is going to be hard walking away from this man, the man that I love with all that I have. It’s going to be a test of trust and faith for us to make this work, but I love him so much there’s no choice.

I nuzzle my head into his neck and he lets out a sleepy moan. I want to treasure this moment for as long as I can. I inhale his scent and the warmth his body gives off. I move my arms along the side of his body and pull myself in as close as I can. I feel his morning erection up against my belly and smile at the feelings his touch gives me in return.

I know we don’t have much time before the family comes down to find us so I have to make these next few moments count.

I slip my hand in between us and gently massage Derrick through his shorts. He moves just enough to allow me room to pull down my shorts and open his button and zipper. A giant smile creeps across my face and in this moment I feel giddy. Even though we’re about to be separated by hundreds of miles, this feeling we share when we’re together is more than enough to keep me content.

Tilting my head I look into his eyes. He too has a smile plastered to his face as he kisses my forehead. He maneuvers so that he’s on top of me and I slide his shorts down just far enough that he’s fully exposed to me. Reaching out I grab his perfection and spread my legs on either side of his hips. Ever so gently he pushes himself into me and we begin to rock out a steady motion.

The act of love we are creating is so powerful. My entire body is filled with warmth that only Derrick can provide. I know that I’ll never find a man better than this one right here.

Our moment of bliss doesn’t last long and I know we need to get ourselves ready for the day we have ahead of us.

“Why don’t you go ahead shower and get ready down here and I’ll head upstairs. We can meet in the kitchen and cook up some breakfast together.” I tell him.

“Sounds great to me.” He replies and places a kiss to my lips.

We get up from the couch, a tangled mess of legs and blanket and I make my way down the hall. Reaching the second floor I quickly get into my room, grab up some clothes and enter the bathroom that Char and I share.

When I enter the shower I can hear Char’s side of the bathroom door open.

“You ready for today?” She asks.

“As ready as I’ll ever be.” I reply.

“You know I’m really going to miss you…and Derrick of course.”

I can hear the change in Char’s voice. We haven’t been the best of friends growing up, but we have been the best of sisters.

“You know what Char, I have a job for you while I’m gone that I bet will keep you pretty busy.”

“Oh yeah, what’s that Chloe?”

“I’m going to be pretty far away from you and Derrick. I need to know that the two of you will be taken care of without me here.”

“So what are you saying Chloe…or should I say what are you asking of me? I have my own life too you know and I sure as hell don’t have time to babysit your boyfriend.” She says with anger in her voice.

“Come on Char. I’m not asking you to babysit him. I just want to know that you’re both being looked after. You two are the most important people to me and I need to know that you guys are okay while I’m gone.”

She lets out a loud huff and slams her door.

Well that didn’t go over as I expected it to, maybe I should have approached Derrick first and let him talk to her about it.

I finish up my shower and hurry getting ready to meet Derrick downstairs.

As I approach the stairs I hear voices in the kitchen. Char seems to be telling Derrick my plan for the two of them while I’m away at school. Well that takes care of that for me. Maybe these two can hash it out better together.

I hop down the stairs and make my way between the two of them to grab a mug of coffee.

“What are you guys talking about?” I ask looking back and forth between the two of them.

“I was just telling Derrick the amazing idea you had for us to keep each other out of trouble while you’re gone. He thinks it’s just as ridiculous as I do.” Char says and sticks her tongue out at me.

“Fine, then just forget I ever mentioned anything. I was just trying to be helpful.” I say storming out of the kitchen.

Completely pissed off at Char and Derrick I make my way out to the only place I can hide…our tree.

This morning I wake up to the pleasant feeling of my girlfriend touching my dick through my shorts. She’s such a little vixen and I love it, this will have to be fast. Sometimes I just wish I could take us somewhere and hideout for a few days so I can get my Chloe fix…too bad that will never happen.

I kiss the top of her head while she gets in a comfortable position straddling my hips. We find a rhythm that is only meant for us. With a few thrusts and a couple grunts here and there we’re done. FUCK! We really need to get a place of our own.

We attempt to untangle ourselves and each head to get a shower before making some breakfast for the family.

Today is D-day for me and I want to show Chloe that I can be supportive and believe that everything will work out for the both of us. We both have bright futures ahead of us and I know that we’ll be together through it all.

I make my way up the stairs from the family room into the kitchen where I see Charlie making coffee.

“Morning, Charlie.” I say in her direction.

“Hey Derrick, you’re here awfully early. Or did you sleep over?” She asks with a cocky smirk.

“Yeah, I did. Guess we fell asleep on the couch and no one felt like waking us up. This worked out just fine with me. I got to cuddle with my Angel all night long.” I reply back at her wiggling my eyebrows.

“Hmm, I see.” She says giving me an odd look.

“What’s your deal? Do I have a bat in the cave? Left or right?” I ask sticking my nose in her face.

“Eww gross Derrick!” She squeals pushing me away.

“Then why are you looking at me like that?” I ask.

“Well your girlfriend thinks we should babysit one another while she’s gone, how stupid is that?” She says throwing her head back laughing hysterically.

“Seriously, what the hell does she think we’re going to do, run off and join the circus?” I say plopping down on a stool.

“For you, that could be her main concern, you’re kind of funny looking.” She says with a giggle.

“Shut the hell up Char, you’re starting to piss the hell out of me.”

Just then Chloe walks into the kitchen grabbing a coffee mug. She’s dressed in a simple sundress and she has her long dark hair in waves falling along her back. She looks over and catches me staring at her. With her beautiful brown eyes she gives me a wink asking what Charlie and I are talking about.

Charlie of course opens her big mouth with an attitude and Chloe runs out of the kitchen and into the backyard.

“Nice job Charlie, she’s fucking leaving today. Can’t you keep the peace for one fucking day?” I say grabbing up two mugs of hot coffee and on my way outside to find Chloe.

Walking toward our tree I can hear Chloe’s muffled cry.

I do my best to get to her so that I can calm her down without spilling coffee all over me. Damn this shit is hot.

When I finally reach her she’s sitting on the bench with her head in her hands crying.

“Love, don’t cry, please don’t cry.” I say approaching her.

Setting down the hot mugs on a side table, I grab her up into my arms and sit down on the bench.

“Look, Charlie and I are just playing around. We know you care about us and that we’ll need each other to get through this time. I promise you that Charlie will be fine. She’s a big girl and can take care of herself. As for me, you know I’d never do anything stupid to hurt what we have.”

“I know it’s just really hard to leave my two favorite people.” She says in between sobs.

“Come on, we knew this day was going to come and I’m not going sit here with you and mope.”

I pull her hair back away from her face and lay it between her shoulders. With my thumbs I wipe away her tears and place a soft kiss on her nose.

“I love you Chloe. Now pull your shit together so we can enjoy the last few hours of you in Boston.” Handing her a mug of coffee.

“God Derrick, one day you’re going to be a fine ass lawyer. I love it when you get all bossy.” She giggles and takes in a sip of steaming French vanilla coffee.

“Yes I am, now let’s go make some food. I’m starving.”

I pull Chloe up from the bench and hold her hand while we walk across the lawn and into the house. By the time we get inside Char, Teresa and Bryce are already fixing up breakfast. I take a seat at the breakfast bar and finish up my morning brew.

“Okay Chloe, we only have an hour or so till we hit the road. Are you all ready to go?” Bryce asks.

I look at Bryce and then over to Chloe. My stomach does a flip flop and then plummets down to my toes. I was hoping this feeling wouldn’t start until she got in the car and drove off.

“Yeah Daddy, I’m ready. It’s just going to suck saying goodbye, ya know?” She says looking me straight in the eyes.

“We all know it’s going to be hard sweetie, but you’ll be home for the holidays in a few months.” Teresa says with a cheery smile.

I sit and watch the conversation that is taking place in front of me and I feel like a lead weight is holding me down on the bar stool. Being here is the only place I want to be, but it’s going to tear out my heart to watch her drive off in her parents’ SUV.

“Well let’s eat up here and get a move on. We have quite the drive today.” Bryce tells the girls.

I grab my plate and fill it up with food. In this moment I’m not only weighted down, I’m beginning to feel numb. How is any of this possible? I mean I’m a tough as nails jock and I feel like my world is crashing in around me. A serious reality check is needed. Maybe after they leave I’ll head over to the gym or go for a run.

Tomorrow is my day to drive out to Cambridge so I need to get my head on straight before practice and classes start.

The family finishes up breakfast and I help clean up the mess and dishes. Chloe goes up to her room to grab some last minute things and comes down with a big smile on her face.

“Okay kids let’s shake a leg and get a move on here.” Bryce says while patting me on the back.

“Yeah, um, I’m not going to take the drive with you guys this time. I’ve still got a ton of stuff to pack myself so I’ll be saying my goodbye now.” I reply to not just Bryce, but to the whole family.

I walk Chloe to the front door as the rest of the crew head out toward the garage. She grabs my hand and wraps it around her waist. I look into her deep brown eyes and tears begin to roll down her cheeks. Without saying a word she lets her body talk for her. She puts both arms around my neck and pulls me in for a kiss. This isn’t like any other kiss, it’s much more. With our lips connected and our tongues intertwined we’re sharing what we feel, how our touch releases warmth over our bodies and the fear we share of missing one another.

I run my arms up and down her back letting every last touch trigger memories for us that will last till we see each other again.

Pulling away from her embrace I see her brow furrow and I place my finger to her lips.

“Don’t do it Chloe, don’t say goodbye. I’ll see you as soon as we have our schedules figured out. We’ll never say goodbye, instead it’s see you later.”

She nods her head in agreement and gives me one last kiss on the lips.

We walk out the front door and over to her mom’s Expedition. I hold her hand and help her up into the back. Once she’s in her seat I hand her a card and she does the same. We both laugh at the corny things we do for one another.

Blowing her one last kiss I tell her to call me once she gets there.

“See you later Angel.” I say as I wave.

I watch Bryce back the SUV down the driveway and meet Charlie up on the porch.

My Chloe is gone and now all I can do is think about when I’ll see her, smell her and touch her next.

Walking through each room, I’m swarmed with great memories. Tears begin to swell in my eyes and I’m suddenly filled with an emotion of sadness as I walk past the living room and out onto the balcony. I’m the last of my roommates to clean out of the apartment. The other girls have gotten jobs in the city and will be staying in New York. Lucky for them their moving day was a lot less of a drive than mine will be today.
