Way sad and lonely.

Just got back from my second job

I kept checkin on my mobile but haven’t been able to read it all

I said it before I left for work but I’ll say it again

Congratulations Train & Hermes!!

And thanks to Train & Hermes, One of Us, all Geeks including myself,

other single men and women!! And well done!!

During the first real-time attack, I thought no way would things ever go

this far but after witnessing such an incredible feat, I feel as though I need to push myself further.

And finally, all happiness to Train and Hermes!

But if they do end up getting married or something . . . I’d love to find out one way or another . . .

Oh, I guess someone could just pick up a Train report from the couples board . . .

You don’t have to forget Hermes and Benoist

If you do, all of this stops making any sense

Even if something happens, I’ll deal with it, ok

I was following things all chilled out but

the part where Train told her he liked her made me cry . . .

and then the Flash site made me cry some more.

All happiness to you, Mr Train!

With this the curtains descend on the Train thread we had all followed over the last two months.

Come to think of it, we were constantly obsessed with Train . . .

I’ve watched many Geeks who transformed into gods and took flight but why

is it . . . . . . that this time, I’m incredibly sad to see him go . . . . . .

advice? . . . hmmm . . .

to have loads of different kinds of courage and to ask for advice

Dear Train,

I hope to see you again sometime here on this board

You’d probably come back to quietly offer your advice to some Geek who,

much like yourself in the beginning, is muddled and lost . . .

I won’t say goodbye. Till we meet again!

Here’s to you Train, and all our comrades!!

When I first came across a Train post in real time,

I didn’t think it was anything special.

Watching him hum and hah over calling or not calling

made me want to beat some sense into him.

When he had dinner with Hermes and her friend

I doubted there would be a follow-up date.

But right after that . . . Train shot out at lightning speed

straight like an arrow down the path towards the answer, the right answer

Congratulations Train, thank you Train.

You are truly a man now . . .

Don’t turn around as you walk away. Even if you get lost . . .

for you have the couples board gang waiting for you

and more importantly, a girlfriend . . .

You’re all too good to be true.

Moving. Tear-jerking.

I’m not crying because of the bombings but because I have to say

goodbye to Train.

730 Name: Anonymous Post Date: 09/05/04 18:11

man, I can’t take it anymore

I’m leaving this net-café to go pretend like I’ve been rained on

Train, much happiness to you . . . and thanks for everything over this long period of time.

Geeks, we were all able to contribute to Train’s happiness. It’ll be all right. Let’s keep believing the day will come when we, too, will morph. Let’s go on reaching out to all the gods that come our way.

And finally, sorry for the long message.

Thank you Train Man. Thanks to hot springs, rubber bands and moles and everybody else. And finally, a parting gift from a remaining geek.

Things moved fast after that dinner with her friend.

Judging from the way Hermes behaved, too.

If you add what we now know about how Hermes felt, it gives that day a lot more weight.

way to go >Train

Since Train has finished giving us the report, I’m going to upload something I was working on back when Train and Hermes were still in the heat of the battle (back when I was hoping against hope all on my own)

I joined the war effort about a month ago and though your bombs did send me back into the shadowy depths of my Geekhood, watching you mature over these two months made me want to offer heartfelt congratulations too.

You who could barely walk in a straight line in the beginning, were raised by the netizens into a valiant soldier who bombed the hell out of us then rose through the ranks and finally to graduated. I hope you and Hermes stay happy together for a long time.
