“Damn, baby,” I groan near her ear.

“Damn,” she repeats.

I pull back almost all the way and then sink in at an agonizing pace. I love the sounds she makes. The whimpers, the gasps, the moans ... but mostly, her deep breathing. It has an echo of something—always hitching, aching.

“You feel so good ... so right,” I breathe into her ear. She turns her face to mine and kisses me fiercely. My hips pick up their pace.

“More,” she breathes into my mouth. “Harder.” Her hands grasp my ass, helping me. “I need you, baby. I need to feel the ache from you.”

Fuck ... she knows just what to say.

“You sure, baby? Like our first night?” I mutter against her ear.

“Yes. Oh God, please ... yes!” she begs. I grasp her lips quickly before bringing her legs up and then down on either side of her head.
Goddamn, her flexibility kills me.

“Ready, baby?”

“Mmhmm.” She licks her lips.

I take in a slow, deep breath, and then—unleash the beast. I’m in the zone, pounding into her so relentlessly, that I can barely comprehend anything that comes out of her mouth other than her whimperish moans. That is, until she reaches between us. Her index and middle finger spread into a “V” at her opening, adding to the sensation I’m already experiencing.

“That’s it, baby. Stretch my little pussy with that big cock of yours.”

Charlotte, my Charlotte, just said ...
that
?!

This confirms my earlier suspicion: Charlotte has been watching porn. I slow down because I can’t chuckle and fuck hard at the same time. With her, though, I may have to master that at some point.

She opens her eyes. “What?”

I can tell she’s a bit self-conscious now.

“I just love you, baby.” I smile and collect her lips as I release her legs. She stills.

Shit.

The words fell off my lips so naturally, like I’ve said them to her a million times. But I haven’t. I’ve never said them to her at all. I pull my mouth away and stare into her eyes. Her widened eyes. And ...
I love her.

Ever have that moment where you fully embrace something you’ve known and felt all along? I’m having one right now—and embracing the hell out of it.

I love her.

Sadly, I have to admit, my timing sucks. Not the best—or most romantic—idea to tell your woman “I love you” for the first time whilst impaling the crap out of her. It just doesn’t help validate your feelings.

I listen to Charlotte’s slow, steady deep breathing. Our hips matching her breaths. I bring my hand up to cup her cheek. Her jade eyes stare into my soul.

“I do.” I kiss her. “I am,” I say against her lips, “so in love with you.” I pull my head back as she takes in a long, shaky breath. “I’m sure there could’ve been a more appropriate time to say it, but my heart blurted it out before my head could stop it. I shouldn’t have said it while—”

“While you were stretching my little pussy with your big cock?” she teases.

“I’m making you nervous?”
Damn it!

“Always.” She leans up and plants a kiss on my lips.

“I always make you nervous?”

“A good nervous.” She smiles.

“A good nervous?” I raise an eyebrow.

She nods. “It comes with one side effect.”

“What’s that?” I kiss her.

She takes my hand off of her cheek and places it on her heart. I feel it beating rapidly.

“It makes my heart race. You make my heart race.” She smiles softly as her eyes fill with moisture. She blinks and shakes her head. I’m not quite sure what this reaction is. I don’t know the meaning behind all her looks and reactions yet.

“Baby, you don’t have to say it back to me. I don’t want you to feel pressured, especially if you’re not certain you feel the same way.” That’s the only meaning for this reaction I can think of.

“Oh, Mitch.” She takes in a sharp breath. “You are the only man I will say that to, and for the first time in my life, mean it with every fiber of my being. I have never been more certain of how I feel—with the exception of my kids.” Before she can ramble on—and she will—I kiss her. Hard. She moans into my mouth and slowly rolls her hips, cueing me to finish what we started.

“Mmm ... yes, ma’am,” I murmur against her lips.

Charlotte rolls me onto my back. She pulls herself up, her knees at my sides, and moves her hips. She throws her head back, enjoying the fullness this position gives her. I sit up, placing my arm around the small of her back. My free hand grasps her right breast and guides her nipple into my mouth.

“Ah, Mitch.” She moans and fists my hair as she rides me at a more intense pace. “Oh, Mitch ... baby,” she breathes.

“I’m with you, baby. Let me hear you. Let me hear you come for me.” I plant one hand on the mattress, giving me the leverage and balance to reach deeper ... higher.

“Fuck ... oh, Mitch ... Jesus ... oh, Christ ... God ... oh.” She pulls tighter at my hair. And then she does it again—whips her head out of the arch it was in and looks straight into my eyes. She gives it all to me.
Fuck, that’s hot!
It’s just the thing that pushes me over the edge. My balls tighten and a surge of pleasure shoots up my shaft. I explode deep inside her. The heat and intensity of our locked eyes matches our orgasm.

“Ugh!” I bellow, grabbing her hips and thrusting into her one last time. Forehead to forehead, we sit there, still connected, panting.

“You’re amazing, baby.”

“We’re amazing,” she corrects.

“Mitch,” I say with a sigh. He’s been staring at me for the past ten minutes or so, his fingers tracing and doodling little designs over my skin.

“What, baby?” He nudges my nose with his.

“We’re doing a great job avoiding some major conversations ... at least two, don’cha think?”

“We are,” he agrees. “Can we keep it that way until tomorrow?” He pecks at my lips. “I don’t think I can emotionally handle what I need to talk to you about. I have a bad feeling I’m gonna be pissed about whatever it is you need to tell me. Please, baby, it’s gotta be almost nine, which means it’s nearly three a.m. for me.” He rolls onto his back. “I’m tired ... not to mention starved.”

“Let’s go downstairs and eat.” I pat his chest and get up clean off in the bathroom.

Oh, shit.

Oh no!

I stand there frozen. I’m pretty sure all color has drained from my face.

“Are you okay, Char?”

Char?—that’s new.
I’d answer him, only I think I may have stroked out—nothing’s moving!

“Baby?” His hands slide onto my hips.

“Um ... I’ll be out in a minute,” I finally pipe up.

“Oh no ... uh-uh ... what’s going on?” He turns me to him.

“We’re discussing things tomorrow, right?” I smile shyly and start walking backward into the bathroom. I close the door and lock it before he utters a word or moves a muscle.

“Okay—now you’re making me nervous!” He states loudly on the other side.

You and me both, Mitch!

“No. I don’t like eggplant.” He shakes his head at me while I plate some for him anyway.

“You’ve never had mine.” I nudge him away from the drawer I need to get into.

“It doesn’t matter. I don’t like it! Make me something else,” he snaps.

“Well, I might have if you’d finished that sentence with ‘wench,’ but since you didn’t ... ” I shrug.

“Smartass!” He slaps my butt and goes into the fridge to see what’s there.

“Uh, no! You will try mine! If you still don’t like it, I will make you something else.” I shut the door on him and pull the first plate out of the microwave.

“I’m a grown-ass man, Charlotte! I know if I don’t like something!”

And at that, I shove a bite in his mouth.

He rolls his eyes in irritation.

I wait.

He chews.

I wait.

He rolls his eyes in pure enjoyment.

I smirk.

He chuckles.

I stick a fork in the center of his eggplant parm and hand it to him, my “I told you so” face fully intact.

After I get some for myself, I join him at the table. His plate is nearly empty.

“Gee ... I really wish you liked my eggplant parm,” I say sarcastically.

“Well, I don’t know what to tell you—it’s disgusting.” He smiles.

“I’m on to you, Mr. Colton!” I shoot him a look of suspicion. “You’re just with me for my culinary skills.”

“Yep, but that’s okay—you’re only with me for my irascible behavior.” He winks. “I have to make sure I get to the gym more. You’re gonna make me fat.”

“I doubt that, what with the amount of sex you like to have.” I smile, then think about the news I have for him. “You probably won’t want to have sex with me after tomorrow,” I say in almost a whisper.

“Why? You plan on throwing out your vagina?” He chuckles.

“Vagina?” I raise an eyebrow.

“That’s what they’ll call it.”

“They who?” I giggle.

“The private detectives who find your thrown-away vagina. It’ll be on the six o’clock news,” he says.

“It will?” I play along.

“Yeah, it’ll be a big story about the mystery behind the tossing away of the most perfect vagina anyone has ever seen.”

“Sounds like you’ve got my vagina on a pretty high pedestal, Mitch.”

“Kitty likes her heights.” He shoots me a full-wattage smile. I shake my head and giggle.

God, I love him.

“All right, no more doom-and-gloom talk. Let’s enjoy the calm before the possible storm.” He holds his wine up to me. I clink his glass in agreement.

I glance at the clock.
Damn.
Nine a.m. I inhale the smell of Charlotte’s hair. She feels so good in my arms. My hand glides down her back.
She’s got a great ass.
I feel myself growing hard under her thigh, and I caress her with more intent.

“Mmm,” she moans lightly. She lifts her head and softly teases my nipple with her mouth. My hand dives into her hair, pulling her lips off so I can attack them. Charlotte straddles me, then abruptly pulls away as she sits up. I lay my head back on the pillow and drink in the sight of her. She moves her hair so it flows over her shoulder.
Christ, the way her eyes stare into my soul.
