I rock my hips, urging him to venture inside. He presses his finger against t
he resistance and slips inside. My pussy clenches tightly as my nerve endings scream with delight as his mouth works my clit, and his finger works my arse.

“More,” I whisper, rocking against him, moaning wantonly.

He breaks his mouth away and whispers huskily. “In here?” he asks, sliding his finger, deeper into my back entrance. “Or here?” he inserts two fingers of his other hand inside my pussy, pulsing into me deeply.

“Oh god,” I moan. “Both.”

His chest rumbles out an erotic groan as he covers me with his mouth and inserts and extra finger into each of my openings.

“Yes,” I pant, my legs wrapped around his head as I pull harder on his hair. “Oh god! Cole!” My orgasm wracks through me, causing me to shudder violently, my
juices gushing out of me as every erotic nerve ending in my body sings with pleasure.

“Holy fuck,” he moans. “You just fucking squirted. Oh god, baby. That was so fucking hot.” He pulls out of
me, and I release his hair as he stands up and removes his pants at lightning speed. His cock bouncing proudly as it’s released from its confines, swollen and ready to impale me.

Grabbing my legs, he positions himself between my thighs. “I’m gonna fuck you now. And it’s gonna be hard. After
seeing that. It needs to be hard. If you want gentle from me, you’re gonna have to stop bein’ so fuckin’ hot.”

“I want it hard. Fuck me Cole, fuck me so it hurts.”

He slams himself inside me, causing me to gasp as he drives in his full length with one, big, forceful pump. He glides back once, then slams back into me, our pelvises crashing together as he goes as deep as he can. His movement increases, slamming, pumping, grinding, and I cry out, over and over again, as the sensation builds inside me while his cock does glorious things to my body.

“Fuck!” I yell, as he grunts and groans, slapping against me. My fingers grip around his arms, digging into his biceps as my body prepares to explode.

With one last slam, we both erupt together, calling out as our bodies shudder in this shared moment.

“Oh baby,” he groans, slowing his strokes as he leans over me, taking my mouth in his, kissing me languidly. My head swims with emotion, and I force myself to just enjoy him. To enjoy this moment.

“Take me to bed,” I whisper in his ear. “Fuck me all night.”

“You’re a demanding one aren’t you?”

“Maybe. But I give as good as I get.”

“I’ll hold you to that.” He kisses me one last time, then slides his arms beneath me and lifts me off the table and carries me, his cock still inside me, until we reach his
room, and he lowers me onto his enormous bed.

He pulls out of me, still hard, his beautiful cock glistening with my juices as he opens his bedside drawers, rustles around and then shuts it again.

“What are you looking for?” I ask, grinning slightly, thinking that maybe he has a stash of toys.

“Condoms. I don’t bring women back here. But I should have some.”

“Seriously? You’ve just cum inside me, like, three times today.”

“Yeah. But I think we should start using them. I don’t think we’re ready to have little Maddie’s or Cole’s running around just yet.”

“You don’t need to worry about that. I can’t get pregnant,” I tell him flippantly, as if it’s nothing. He freezes.

“What do you mean you can’t get pregnant?”

“I got sick. I’m fine now. I’m completely clean. But I can’t have kids.”

“Oh,” he frowns, taking a small step back.

“I’m clean,” I repeat. But I watch his cock soften, right before my eyes.

“Ok,” he says softly, his hand flying up to touch the back of his head. Immediately, I regret telling him. I’ve just killed us. Shit.

“What’s going on? What are you doing?” I ask, a slight note of panic in my voice as I watch him back away.

He
mumbles something that I don't understand then turns around and walks out of the room.

“Cole!” I call after him, grabbing at the sheet and wrapping it around my body so I can chase him. I don’t want to be naked anymore. I’ve obviously exposed myself too much. Fuck.

By the time I make it out, he’s walking out the front door, stalking toward his bike, not looking back at me as he puts on his helmet and climbs on, speeding off into the night. Leaving me on my own. Feeling totally rejected, lonely, and broken.

Chapter Nine

I stare after Cole for an indeterminable amount of time. I can’t believe I was that stupid. I just ruined everything. Now he’s just going to see me as some diseased whore, and even if I wanted to make some sort of a future with him, I blew it.

I move inside and get dressed. I collect the clothes I arrived in, but the things I purchased are still in Cole’
s bike. I contemplate calling Prez or Carla to come and get me, but decide against it. That would mean I’d have to tell them what’s going on between me and Cole, and I don’t know what that means in a motorcycle club. All I know, is there are rules and codes that everyone has to follow. I just haven’t been here long enough to learn what they all are.

Instead,
I call a cab company and ask to get picked up, only to be told they don’t service our area. “Fucking back water country towns,” I grumble to myself, deciding my only option is to walk. I pull up Google maps and type in my father’s address to get the directions to his house reasoning that it’s dark. No one will see me walking, and if I hear any engines, I’ll hide behind a tree. I’ll be fine.

Stepping outside into the quiet of the night, I embark on my long walk home. My heavy boots make my legs tired as I drag the
m through the rough ground on the side of the road. My walk takes almost an hour, and is thankfully uneventful. That is, until I arrive at my parent’s.

Found you,” Liam says, as he leans against the bonnet of his black Chrysler. It’s so dark and shiny that it looks like it belongs to the Special Forces or something.

My throat constricts in both fear and surprise.
“I’m not going back with you,” I say, keeping my distance. “My father won’t let you take me.”

“Your father isn’t here. But don’t worry. I’m not going to take you now.” He walks toward me with confident strides as he grins that cocky grin of his
on only one side of his face.

“What do you mean?”

He stops in front of me, only a hair’s breadth away from my face, and I stop breathing. “Consider this a warning,” he whispers, his sickly sweet breath washing over me. I turn my head away, not wanting to look at him. He grips my face and licks it slowly upward, before stopping and whispering in my ear. “I know where you are. You have one week to sort your shit out and get back to me before I unleash hell upon your father’s little gang. Do you understand me?”

“What will you do?” I ask in a whisper, my body quaking with fear. I don’t want to go back. Please don’t make me go back.

“You’re not the only one who has connections with bikers, and my bikers aren’t friends with your bikers.”

“You’re going to provoke a war?”

“If that’s what it takes. One week Madeline. One week.”

He presses his mouth to mine, jamming his tongue in over my
lips, and I bite down in defence. I hate him. I hate him for making me what I am.

“Bitch,” he growls, pul
ling back from me quickly and tasting his mouth for blood. Shaking his head, he lets out a burst of mocking laughter. “Now it’s only five days.” With that, he turns on his heel, gets into his car and leaves.

I had thought he had balls coming to my father’s house on his own, but as I watch him drive down the street, several Harley
s roar to life from within the shadows of the unlit street and follow him.

“Fuck,” I cry, threading my hands into my hair and clutching at my head, now throbbing with pain. My stomach turns and my chest aches
as I try to figure out what to do. But there’s nothing. I’ll have to leave. To save them all. I’ll have to leave.

The rumble of more bikes coming from the other direction causes me to turn my head
. The lights of their headlamps blind me, and I shield my eyes before quickly stepping off the street and out of sight.

“Maddie,” I hear Prez
yell as I retreat. “What the hell are you doing out here?” I turn around to answer him, noting that he’s accompanied by Cole and eight others. I glance at Cole. His jaw is set sternly as he glares at me. Great. He’s disgusted by me.

“What’s going on?” I ask, looking at the serious expressions on all their faces.

“One of the lookouts reported a rival gang riding into town. We’re checking things out. Go inside. It’s not safe out here.” He gives me a light nudge on the shoulder to guide me toward the door when his phone rings.

I stand there, listening and watching his expression as he speaks. “What? So they just left? What the fuck were they doin’ in here then?” He pauses, listening to the caller on the other end. “I’ll send a few guys out to you to make sure they don’t come back…yep… that’s right.” He hangs up the call and turns to his men, pointing and whistling at a few of them and tilting
his head up the road where the other gang left with Liam. Then he turns back to me. “You’re comin’ back to the clubhouse. It’s not safe for you to be here by yourself. We don’t know what the fuck they were doin’ around here.”

I move to get on his bike. “No. Go with Cole. I need to go and talk to Towball about who and what he saw
.”

Prez
nods at two more of his men and then roars off down the road with them, leaving me standing there with Cole and the two remaining men. Cole walks toward me with a helmet in his hand and places it on my head, tapping it twice.

“Hop on.”

I do as he says, climbing on behind him and wrapping my arms around his waist before he takes off for the club. I grip him tightly, not caring if he’s done with me. I just need to take comfort from him because right now, I’m losing my fucking shit.

I’m trying to appear calm, but inside, I’m p
anicking. I know that my parents won’t understand it if I tell them that I need to leave. And they’ll go mental if I own up and tell them everything. If I’m honest with them, it will only ensure a war. It’ll be better if I just disappear. Just like I did all those years ago.

***

The gates open as we approach the clubhouse, allowing us to ride straight through. Cole parks his bike and hauls me off it, dragging me along behind
him, and I try to remove my helmet with only one hand.

“What are you doing?” I yell at him.

“Woman. Don’t even start with me.” He drags me through the winding corridors of the member’s quarters and takes me into a room, slamming the door behind us and dropping me, so I’m sitting on the bed. “Fucking explain to me, why I found you in front of your parent’s place when I left you at mine?” His eyes flash and his nostrils flare as he leans over me, obviously trying to force himself to stay calm.

“Because you fucking freake
d out the moment I told you I’d been sick! So much for fucking understanding. So much for non-judgement. I’m glad you cared so much about me. The first whiff of something that could harm your precious cock and you fuck right off. Leaving me, right after you fucked me, like you just found out I’m some sort of leper. I’m fucking clean. I have been for ages!”

Gripping me by the upper arms, he hauls me off the bed
and holds me up to his face, leaning over so our eyes are level.

“You think I left ‘cause you got sick? What kind of
man does that make me? I left ‘cause I was pissed at the fuckin’ cunt who stole your future from you – our future. I didn’t want you to see me go off my head. So I went for a ride. I told you to stay. I said I’d be back.”

“N
o you didn’t! You just fucking freaked out and rode off.”

“I fucking did,” he yells.

“Well I didn’t hear it!” I yell back, my own voice over powering his as my body shakes. Too much has happened tonight, and I can’t fucking cope.

He releases his grip a little, and smooths his hands down my arms, rubbing away the pain he caused by gripping me.
“Listen very closely. ‘Cause I don’t apologise often. I’m sorry you thought I left you. Ok? Do you understand how fuckin’ freaked out I was when I got back and you were gone? I knew you’d be fuckin’ walkin’. You’re too goddamn stubborn to ask for anyone’s help. So I came here lookin’ for you. But when I got here, everyone was goin’ off about the fuckin’ Demon Brothers bein’ on our turf, and I had to ride out. And then we fuckin’ find you, standin’ on the goddamn side of the road. I fuckin’ told you it’s not safe out there. If they found you, they wouldn’t have been nice baby. They’re not like us. They take women by force. They drug them up and keep them fuckin’ dependent. If they had have got you. Fuck. I would have started a war to get you back. That’s how much I care, Maddie. I would go to war for you.”

I inhale a shaky breath, overwhelmed by
how much he seems to care. I know I should tell him that they did find me. I know I should tell him that I have to go. But I don’t. I just crush my mouth against his, fighting the tears that seem all too common lately and walk us both back toward the bed.

He pulls my shirt over my head and drops it on the ground, before doing the same with his. Both of
us undoing our pants and wriggling out of them and our boots. We just need to be together. Right now.

He doesn’t need to test my wetness. I’m already fucking drenched. Every time I’m
around him, I’m drenched and ready for him.

He pushes inside, his thrusts deep and strong as we
connect.

As our breathing deepens, we start to moan into each other’s mouth, each knowing that the other is about to explode. I love how this man reads me. Without really knowing me at all, he somehow knows my heart.

Our moans combine and fill the air as we pump against each other, heading toward our climax. We explode, crying out, just as there’s a knock at the door.

“Fuck,” Cole groans, his breathing ragged as he holds himself above me. “What?” he calls out to our visitor.

“They need you in the club rooms.” It’s fucking Monique. Doesn’t that girl ever work? Oh… I guess she can’t. I broke her ribs.

“Alright. I’ll be right out.” He gives me one last, devastatingly lingering kiss. I suck back on his tongue, refusing to let go. Laughing, he pinches me in the
ribs, so I release him. “Stay put this time,” he instructs.

“What if I need to pee?”

“There’s a bathroom right there,” he says, showing me a door with his eyes. “It’s the perk of being the VP. I don’t have to share.” He gives me a wink and kisses my forehead before pushing up from the bed and quickly getting dressed. It’s the first time I’ve seen him naked in full light, so I notice a massive scar on his right thigh.

“What happened to your leg?” I ask, nodding at the scar as it disappears beneath his pants.

“The same thing that happened to your body,” he replies, dropping his shirt over his head, then pulling his cut and boots on.

“Oh, you noticed those?”

“Babe, there are like, hundreds of cigarette burns on you. I’d be blind not to notice.”

“Well it
wasn't a cigarette on your thigh. How did you burn it?”

He stands up and stomps his foot, wedging his heel into his boot.

“Get too close to a fire, you’re bound to get burned,” he says, opening the door.

“That’s your answer?”

“Yeah. It is. Now - Stay. Put. Understand?”

I nod
, watching him lock the door and leave, and missing him already. Standing up, I head to the bathroom to clean myself up. Looking in the mirror as I re-braid my hair, I see for the first time the fear in my eyes. Right now, this whole club is on high alert. And it’s all because of me. If I hadn’t run, none of this would be happening.

I’m the only one who knows why they came. And I’m the only one who knows when they’ll come again. I’m also the only one
who can stop it.

As much as it hurts my heart to know that I’m going to destroy
my relationship with both my parents and Cole, I have to go. I have to protect them, or else they could die protecting me. And I couldn’t live with that. I’d rather die first. And really, it’s no great loss. I never had much of a life to begin with.

Going through Cole’s drawers to find something to sleep in, I think
about my plan. I figure that in a couple of days they should all calm down. Then I can go back to my parent’s house, and in the dead of night, I can sneak away.

I open the drawers beside his bed, moving things around as I look for boxer shorts or a
T-shirt. Instead, I find a gun. Standing up, I hold the cold steel in my hands, testing the weight of it, contemplating what I could do with it.

There’s a knock on the door, and I jump in fright
. I quickly put the gun back where I found it and close the drawer. “One minute,” I call out when the knock sounds again. I quickly put my pants on and pull my shirt over my head before answering the door.

“Mind explainin’
what the fuck you’re doin’ in Cole’s room?”

“Shit. Mum
.”
