‘You’re mine too, and you still had your hands on her!’ I gasped. ‘You’re a fucking hypocrite, Sean!’ In response, Sean gave my nipple a sharp bite, pulling at the sensitive flesh and causing me to simultaneously yelp from the sting and push it back into his mouth for more.

‘Oh God … I’m supposed to be angry with you, but, please, Sean … fuck me. Please,’ I begged, wanting the talking to stop so we could get down to what we both obviously wanted. Needed. I needed him inside me so I knew we were OK.

Moving his hand between us, Sean took less than a second to dig his fingers into the lace of my panties and rip them from my body, jerking my hips into his abdomen with the force of his movement. He threw the ripped material to the side and I nodded my head eagerly, uncaring that he had just ruined my knickers.

‘Take me, Sean …’ I wasn’t into anything particularly kinky, but Sean was quite a dominant lover, often liking to take charge, something I’d discovered I also rather liked, and as a result our lovemaking was frequently quite rough and ready. In fact, I think I’d lost count of the number of knickers Sean had ripped his way through in our time together, but he had always replaced them with a new pair and a rueful smile a day or so later.

Lining up his cock with my entrance I groaned in relief as I felt his soft skin touch mine, but he frustratingly stopped just as the tip entered me. ‘But actually, no, not quite yet. I think an apology might be in order, don’t you?’ Sean murmured teasingly as I desperately tried and failed to thrust my hips up against him.

‘Yes … you definitely need to apologise to me,’ I gasped, taunting him while tugging uselessly at my pinned wrists in the hopes that I could free one and use it to grip his bum and pull him down into me.

Barking out a short laugh, Sean kissed me again, his tongue surprisingly soft and gentle given the situation, not to mention at complete odds to the rest of his actions so far. ‘Uh-uh, that’s not what I meant and you know it. What you did tonight was childish, Allie.’ He gave a small, sharp jolt of his hips that sent his cock plunging halfway into me and immediately back out again, like an ultimate temptation that left me writhing below him desperately, and seconds away from begging.

I knew he was right. I had been stupid and I did need to apologise, but I held off for just a few more seconds, deciding to make one final point. ‘I might have been stupid, but my actions were driven by your behaviour. Letting her touch you all over and reciprocating? That was inconsiderate, selfish, and unbelievably hurtful …’ Sean paused in his teasing, his head lifting up and eyes seeking out mine before blinking several times. I felt the tension beginning to leave his body as I saw the anger melting from his features, replaced by regret.

Our angry lovemaking had momentarily stopped, but even with arousal pulsing in every pore of my body I knew that this moment was more important than connecting ourselves physically, and I stared up expectantly into his eyes.

A heavy breath fell from his lips. ‘You’re right. OK … I’ll speak to Savannah and set some ground rules. Hand holding only from now on, you have my word.’ It wasn’t an apology using the word ‘sorry’, but it was what I needed to hear.

‘You’ve really never had sex with her?’ I asked, my voice suddenly sounding pathetically weak and reedy.

Lowering his damp brow, Sean rested it on my forehead so our noses were touching. ‘No. Never. I promise.’ As he spoke, our quickened breaths mixed and tickled across my lips. ‘As much as I disliked the way you responded to Savannah, and I do understand, I was so jealous when I saw you with that fucker,’ Sean admitted in a rush, his eyes darkening with displeasure and his fingers tightening marginally around my wrists still pinned above my head. ‘I can’t tell you how close I came to striding over there and ripping his hands off for daring to touch you.’

He was opening up, so I really should too – although admittedly, perhaps it would be easier to do so if I wasn’t pressed below him with his solid erection laying heavily on my stomach and my arms pinned above my head, but I suppose needs must.

‘I was wrong to try and wind you up, Sean. I’m so sorry. I was such an idiot. It was stupid jealousy from seeing you with her in the flesh … touching. It nearly killed me …’ I admitted on a shudder, closing my eyes to briefly escape from his intense blue gaze.

‘It’s not real, my gorgeous girl. None of it,’ he whispered, releasing my wrists so that he could prop himself onto both elbows and cup my face in his hands. Lowering my arms, I rested my hands on his waist and bravely opened my eyes again, loving the way his features were completely sincere. ‘She’ll never see me gaze at her like this,’ he murmured, his eyes seeming to burn into my soul as he ground his hips against mine temptingly. Surprisingly, even given the pause in proceedings and the serious nature of our discussion, he was still completely hard against my thigh and swelling by the second, and I couldn’t help but shiver with expectation.

‘She’ll never get to kiss me like this …’ His lips moved to mine, pressing against my mouth in a soft, warm demand, before his tongue gently ran along the seam of my lips. My mouth opened and he wasted no time plunging his tongue inside, probing and exploring so tenderly that I was soon straining off the mattress, moaning my appreciation and clawing at his back in my desperation to ease the throbbing heat between my legs. Pulling his head back for a second he locked his gaze with mine as he marginally shifted his hips to the right.

‘She’ll never feel me inside her like this.’ With one smooth thrust, Sean filled me to bursting point, causing me to throw my head back and cry out from the pleasure of being so utterly consumed.

‘And she’ll never hear me tell her that I love her.’ Sliding out of me, Sean paused with just the tip of his straining erection inside me and looked deep into my eyes. ‘I love you, Allie. Possibly more than you can even comprehend,’ he murmured, before a smooth downward thrust had him buried to the hilt again as I craned my neck up to capture his lips.

‘I love you too, Sean,’ I panted breathlessly.

A silent agreement was suddenly forged between us, stating that conversation time was over and I gasped as Sean began to move purposefully within me, drawing back only to plunge inside me again and again, and seeming to hit my g-spot with each and every beautifully timed thrust until I felt like I was coming undone from the inside out.

Transferring his weight to one arm, Sean continued to move within me while tweaking and rolling one nipple between his thumb and finger. My nipples were so sensitive that each tug sent a burst of tingling heat directly to my groin and almost made my eyes roll back in my head from the pleasure of it.

‘I’m close. Allie, come with me,’ Sean requested softly. Almost rearing up, he then thrust harder and deeper than before, giving a far sharper pull to my nipple which sent me cascading over into a climax so powerful that I cried out and clutched him to me. Giving one more thrust, I felt Sean growl as his erection begin to jerk inside me, the heat of his release filling me as he collapsed on top of me.

‘You want to know the best thing?’ he panted, lifting his head to look at me. Nodding my head, I saw Sean grin. ‘Apart from an hour at the studios tomorrow morning, I’m free to spend the entire day with you, which means I can stay over and we can do this all over again. Preferably without the arguing part.’

My eyes must have lit up as my hands cupped his face and dragged it to mine for a grateful kiss. Caging my body with his arms so I didn’t have to take all his body weight, Sean burrowed his head in the crook of my neck, breathing heavily and repeating my name against the skin below my ear, occasionally muttering the word ‘mine’ for good measure.

Feeling possessive, was he? Well, if that was how Sean made love to me when he felt the need to express a little ownership, then that was just fine by me because that had been in-cred-ible.

Chapter Thirty

Cait

Today was the day. Job interview day. Not just any job interview either, but an interview at the actual, real life, massively famous Dynamic Studios. Some of the biggest blockbusters of the last century had been filmed there, not to mention the plethora of successful television series that had started out behind their doors. I might only have applied for a temporary position, but I was nervous. Really flipping nervous. My right leg was bouncing endlessly and I was flicking the elastic bands around my wrist to the point of pain as I sat on the sofa in silence. Mind you, the copious amounts of caffeine I’d ingested in the hour since waking probably weren’t helping my twitchiness either.

The non-stop torrent of possibilities and questions running through my mind suddenly came to an abrupt halt as my eyes widened and I very nearly choked on my tongue.

Sean Phillips, rubbing his sleepy face and completely oblivious to my presence, was wandering towards me clad only in a pair of black boxer shorts.
Very
tight black boxer shorts. Blinking in embarrassment but somehow unable to turn away, I grabbed my coffee mug as a mild distraction just as he lowered his hands, saw me gawking at him, and froze in the doorway.

God, I couldn’t believe I’d seen him undressed twice in less than twenty four hours. I mean, he clearly had an amazing body, but sheesh, that man needed to get some less fitted boxers if he was going to be strutting around the place. Blushing, I thought back to last night when I’d seen him asleep on Allie’s bed minus the boxer shorts. I hadn’t exactly hung around, but it had been more than obvious he had been naked. Seeing the full view I’d had then, I supposed I should be grateful that he was at least wearing some form of clothing today.

Sean looked completely shocked: wide eyes, tense stance, and a what-the-hell-do-I-do-now vibe emanating from his every pore. Seeing as I’d known about him being here last night I appeared to be marginally more prepared for this encounter. But only marginally. My cheeks were definitely burning now and my tongue seemed to have frozen in my mouth, rendering me speechless.

Fidgeting on the spot, Sean seemed to be debating what he should do when I finally managed to regain control of my tongue. ‘Uhh … good morning.’

Looking totally blindsided by my presence, Sean still appeared to be floundering, ‘I … uh …’ Finally relaxing, Sean chuckled, although he still looked decidedly sheepish. ‘Morning. I was going to make some coffee. I don’t suppose there’s any going?’

‘Sure. I’ll pour you two,’ I murmured, glad of the excuse to go to the coffee maker and turn my eyes away from his half-naked body.

‘Thanks.’ Bless him. For a man with a body as good as Sean’s, the poor guy seemed a bit embarrassed about his state of undress, and didn’t quite seem to know what to do with his hands, alternating between hanging them at his sides and swinging them nervously in front of his groin.

‘Here,’ I said, chucking him the towel from the radiator beside me that I’d used after my swim this morning. ‘Sorry it’s bit damp.’

Immediately wrapping it around his waist, he grinned at me in relief. ‘No, it’s perfect. Thank you, Cait.’ Securing the towel, Sean came closer and began to add milk to the two cups while I fiddled nervously with my elastic band and avoided further eye contact.

‘Allie mentioned you have a job interview today, good luck with it.’ Then, picking up the cups with a final smile, he disappeared from view, leaving me to sag onto the bar in relief.

That encounter had certainly kick-started my adrenaline and got my pulse racing – not to mention erased my earlier nerves about the upcoming interview. Smiling at the bizarre start to my day, I jumped from the stool and headed to my room to change – it was time to get myself a job in television.

I knew Dynamic was one of the biggest names in the film and television industry, but I was totally unprepared for just how huge their site was. After arriving early at the front gates, I had filled in a visitor entry form and then been ushered towards a guide who took me back outside and loaded me and six other applicants into a large golf cart. He then drove us through various avenues, past large warehouse-type buildings each labelled as stages with different numbers on them, before pulling up beside a structure called the Executive Building.

From there, we left the warmth of the day to be herded inside a large, cool, busy seating area to await our name call. My heart sank when I saw the crowds, because there must have been at least fifty people applying for these jobs. Needing some space to calm myself I chose the least crowded side of the room and found a seat.

As I sat there clutching my CV and surrounded by pictures of the famous names who had worked here over the years, I felt my stomach reeling with excitement. Even if I didn’t get the job this would go down as a memorable day.

Before I’d had any time to calm my nerves my name was being called for the interview by a trendily dressed woman waving a clipboard. Jeez, talk about swift. Trying to steady my galloping pulse I stood up, straightened out my clothes, and left the safety of the waiting area as I followed the woman along a corridor towards an office.

Pausing at a door, she turned to me with a smile. ‘Mr Mathers will be interviewing you today. Good luck.’ Smiling my thanks weakly, I watched as she walked away before drawing in a calming breath and knocking on the closed door.

The door swung open and I was met by a surprisingly young-looking man who waved an arm to usher me into the office space. Hmm. A small, enclosed space containing just me and a strange man. This wasn’t exactly on my list of great situations to be in, but I tried to distract my paranoia by taking in a deep breath and skimming my eyes over his appearance. His steel-rimmed glasses and casual jeans, T-shirt, and blazer made me and my suit look positively overdressed. He had an efficient air about him, and I could only assume that the casual outfit meant that he was perhaps an executive of some sort who no longer needed to dress to impress.

‘Good morning, Miss Byrne. I’m Jason Mathers, head of recruiting. Thank you for coming today – please take a seat.’ Relief washed through me when he left the office door ajar and I immediately felt myself relax.
