“Concealed weapon and indecent exposure,” he growls into my ear as he lifts me and throws me onto the bed. I glance at the clock and up at him as he slips off his clothes and crawls over me. “Or should I say decent exposure?” he rasps as he deftly unclasps my bra, palming one breast while he puts his soft lips on the other.

“Oh... baby. Do you think we have enough time?” I gasp, trying to finish my thought, but it’s futile.

“Don’t worry about Tommy and Juju. They’re adults. I’m not rushing anything right now. I want to practice, get into character. I’m going to be one bad cop, baby,” he says with a grin playing across his lips.

“Are you going to book me?” I murmur innocently as his
tongue skims over my lips.

“I want to fuck you instead. Is that all right with you?” He grins as he
spreads my legs with his body, cradling himself between my thighs.

Staring into his eyes makes me want to fulfill his every desire. I will not deny him.

“Yes.” I pant. “Yes.” My hands instinctively fist in his hair and I pull.

“I think they call that assaulting a police officer. He says in a gravelly voice. “You can do some hard time for that.”

“Hard, huh?” I bite his lower lip, grinding my hips against his erection. “Throw the book at me, officer.”

“I am doll,” he says through a smile, as he lowers his mouth around my aching nipples. He sucks and bites on one and then the other. I close my eyes, devoured by a sea of pleasure that only he can give me. “You like how that feels?”

“Yes, baby.” My gasp. “Please... Reed…if you don’t put your cock inside me right now, I’m going to die.”

“I need to taste you first.”

The mere sound of his words make me heady and causes my body to go into a frenzy.
Oh, god
. His declaration unleashes a torrent of need in me. My body can’t wait any longer. My next words come out in a breathy whisper.

“Whatever you want. My body is your temple.”

“Good.” He smiles salaciously, trailing his hand down the length of my body. “I fucking want you so damn bad.”

He blazes kisses down my body and then his wet, hot mouth devours my clit. He circles his tongue around my folds while his fingers move in and out of me. “Fuck, you’re so wet.” he moans in ecstasy. I place my hands on his head, guiding his mouth over me. His indulgence pushes me to the edge. Lifting his mouth off me, he plunges his fingers deep inside me and rubs my nub with his thumb while he kisses my stomach. He moves back down, replacing his fingers with his mouth. I can barely speak as his tongue fiercely laps over my clit again and again, increasing the friction with every stroke. There is no other feeling like it, and I scream in elation. I feel the vibration of his mouth as he groans against me while I come. After a few minutes, he kisses his way back up to my mouth as I fist his hair in my hands and tug.

“Baby, please, I want you inside me. I want more.”

He smiles and continues kissing me and ignoring my pleas. His hard cock rubs against my stomach, clearly exhibiting how much he needs me. I need him. I lower my hand and start to stroke him, but he pulls my hands away and holds them above my head. There is nothing I can do as his cock twitches against me. I love feeling completely vulnerable with Reed.

“Believe me, baby, I’m going to give you all of me,” he moans, sliding his cock across my sensitive skin. My heart beats feverishly in my chest when I feel him enter me. My hips impulsively rock back and forth against the heat of him. He moves up and down, allowing me to feel every inch of him thrusting deeper inside me.

He takes one of his hands and moves my head to the side, deftly pulling my hair to kiss me and sighing into my mouth. “You feel so fucking good.” His voice is filled with lust as he keeps his precise, focused rhythm, plunging inside me as I tighten around him. I mewl when he pounds deeper and harder into me, digging my nails into his shoulders as I rock my hips against him forcefully. “Does it feel good, doll? I want to hear you say it, baby. Tell me,” he whispers into my ear. “Tell me you want me to make you come again.”

“Make me come,” I moan. “Please, Reed.” Every muscle in my body instantly tightens as I stare into his eyes. My heart is pounding, and I fist his hair in my hands as he works me so good. Pressing my legs against him as hard as I can, the orgasm rips through my body recklessly, consuming every bit of me like only he could allow. He pants hard and continues to thrust and pound until moments later I feel him release his warmth inside me. A groan escapes his mouth as he presses his powerful body on top of mine. He finds my lips and gently collapses next to me where we lie quietly for a couple of minutes; the only sound is our labored breathing.

“Can we try something new next time?” I finally break the silence, pushing the hair away from his eyes and pulling him closer to me so that I can reach up and kiss him again.

“Sure,” he replies, kissing my shoulder. “Whatever you want.” I close my eyes as he caresses me in all the right places. I never realized how much my body yearns and craves his touch until tonight.

“Cuffs,” I say, opening my eyes. The guarded, dark look in his eyes sends a shiver through me. It thrills and frightens me at the same time. I want it that way. The pleasure and pain.

“Oh...shit. I like the sound of that,” he growls. “I’m going to use you, worship you and love you. Please, let me make you mine,” he whispers into my ear. “You trust me, baby?”

“I trust you.” For some reason with everything we’ve been through, trusting him comes so naturally.

When Juju and Tommy arrived in Boston, we took them for a drive down to the seaport for dinner. I learned about their lives back in Texas and Reed’s college days with Tommy. It was exciting to finally hear about Reed’s career at Texas A&M and how he broke many of the receiving records and carried the Aggies to four National Championships. Reed’s family moved constantly over the course of his collegiate career because his mom didn’t like staying in one place for too long. I found that kind of strange considering she was diagnosed with cancer. Moving so many times would take a toll on someone in that condition, but I didn’t press any further. From what I gather, Reed’s dog Cooper is his pride and joy. Tommy has been the one responsible for Cooper since Reed has been in Boston. Tommy mentioned that he’s become pretty efficient with the pooper scooper.

After dinner, we stopped at the Middle East so Reed could show Juju and Tommy where he works and introduce them to some of his coworkers. Tommy loves his beer, and over the course of the night, he was a bit more lax in his topics. It did not escape my notice when Reed flicked Tommy a harsh glare when he mentioned something about a gambling trip to Vegas.

The saying “What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas” pops into my head. I can’t even imagine what went on during that trip. Visions of show girls, strippers, and all-nighters at the casino come to the forefront of my mind. Who knows what kind of memories they have from that trip. Juju frowned, nudging Tommy in the stomach and telling him to keep the past in the past, because no one wants to hear about their bachelor days. I agree with her there. Tommy instantly clams up, shrugging his shoulders at his obvious guffaw. Reed smiles crookedly as the tension disappears from his body. He reaches for my hand from across the table and gently rubs my knuckles with his thumb before he lifts it to his lips. His kiss and his sincere eyes melt away all my wayward thoughts about his life before me.

Reed decided that Juju and Tommy should stay at my apartment while in Boston. Reed told me he’d feel better if Juju didn’t have to witness Luke’s sleepovers, but I’m pretty sure he just wanted me to spend as much time getting to know her as possible. I can see that Reed and his sister have this unbreakable connection that I know has much to do with their upbringing. Their bond reminds me of the relationship I have with Jace. I hope to God one day Jace will get over his dislike of Reed entirely so that he can see this side of him.

Juju is more beautiful in person with her wavy light brown hair and blue eyes. I love that we share a similar taste in fashion. She’s wearing skinny denim jeans, a cream tunic and leather cowboy boots. She complained about the cold weather for a minute, but then got excited when she was finally able to wear her camel suede jacket for the unseasonably cold weather that Boston is known for.

I didn’t know what I was in for when Juju came up. She is a marathon shopper, and we hit Newbury Street and the Pru the following day after my classes. Tommy and Reed went to do some male bonding. I said I would call whenever we were done shopping, which I don’t think will happen anytime soon. I finally convince Juju to take a break so we can stop for a cup of coffee at the Starbucks in the Pru.

“What do you think Reed and Tommy are doing?” I ask as I pay for our coffees.

“Who knows?” Juju smiles as she ties her hair back into a ponytail. “It could be anything. They’re like two peas in a pod. They’re probably talking football and drinking. I really don’t care as long as they stay out of trouble.” She smiles warily. I’m not sure if her expression is from fatigue from all the shopping or she’s referring to whatever trouble Reed got into back in Texas. He never really explained what kept him there, only that it was taken care of.

“Depends on the company you keep,” I reply, trying to glean some information, anything to get a feel for the level of trouble Reed was involved in while home.

“I don’t think it’s that. I think it had more to do with being at the wrong place at the wrong time.”

“Oh,” I respond. Now I’m really curious as to what she means. I glance up at her as she sips her coffee. She’s not stupid. She knows I’m fishing for information. I feel guilty for asking these questions about Reed? Does this mean I don’t entirely believe what he told me, or am I just being paranoid?

“Elle, I know Reed probably hasn’t told you everything, but what has he told you about why he wasn’t able to come back here before?” she asks as we leave the Starbucks and enter the Barnes and Nobles next door.

“Not much really. Only that he took care of everything.”

“Hmm... so, he didn’t tell you he was in the hospital for a few days?”

I swallow back the bile that rises in my throat. My eyes probably are as big as the chocolate chip cookie I almost bought at Starbucks when I turn to her and shake my head no. I have to remember that we just got back together, and things have been crazy. I believe we are both avoiding the subject, trying to just rebuild and enjoy each other again.

“I’m sorry. I thought he would have at least told you that part.” She sighs, shaking her head. “It is not my place to say anymore. You guys have to talk about it. I don’t want him to get mad at me while I’m here.”

“Don’t worry,” I reply, feeling nauseous from her admission.
The hospital? What the hell happened back home that put him in the hospital?
It’s going to be a week before Juju leaves. I don’t want to ruin their stay here by arguing with Reed over this. The waiting game is going to kill me. Somehow I have to put on a brave face for the next week, and it is not going to be easy.

“Listen,” Juju breathes. I skim my eyes up from the book I absently picked up from a display shelf, thinking about what Juju just told me. “Reed loves you. I’ve never seen him like this before in my life. When he was home and away from you, I’d never seen him so lost. This is all new to him. He may be this big, football player,” she chuckles, “but you...you have brought my brother to his knees.”

“I...feel the same way about him. Seeing him again after being apart made me realize how much he means to me.”

“I know my brother. He may not have handled the situation in the smartest way, but his intentions were good. I told him months ago that it may come back to bite him, but he’s stubborn that way. It’s how he’s always been. He gets this adrenaline rush from it or something. I am not sure where he gets it from. Sometimes I just think he’s just plain crazy.” As she laughs, her eyes sparkle with admiration for her brother. “He loves you. Believe me when I say that. Let’s just hope my big brother smartens up and Tommy is talking some sense into him today.”
