I want to dedicate this book to the memory of my father, the late Rev. Ernest L. Jakes, Sr. Dedicated to my father, it is also in tribute to my mother, the late Mrs. Odith P. Jakes, whose unfailing love defined motherhood and was my first encounter with excellence. To my sister, Jackie, who kissed away my childhood tears and finally to my lovely wife, Serita, whose gentle breeze has often kept my sails full of the wind of destiny.
Woman, Thou Art Loosed!
is the heart of the Father ministering to the women of His Son’s Body. Literally thousands of women have been set free by the anointed word of T.D. Jakes. It’s mind-challenging, life-changing and spirit-transforming truth. Your life will never be the same after reading this book.

Every woman in this country needs to hear the message that God has given Bishop Jakes. It is impossible for someone to hear this message and not be encouraged, delivered and transformed forever. I know that because of this word from God, my life will never be the same.

This 20
th
anniversary expanded edition of
Woman, Thou Art Loosed!
includes both the original text and the
Woman, Thou Art Loosed! Workbook
, which were originally sold separately. In order to help activate your healing as you read this book, you are strongly encouraged to take the time to work through the study questions at the end of each chapter.
These questions have been uniquely prepared for the adult learner for personal or small group learning. As such, they have been developed to allow you or your group time for discussion and application for spiritual growth. In light of this, it is recommended that you follow these guidelines:
First, get an overview of
Woman, Thou Art Loosed!
Start with the Contents page and then familiarize yourself with the titles and subjects of each chapter.
Have your Bible and a pen and pencil together with this book. Since satan would love to keep you from your growth in God, eliminate as many distractions as possible.
Read each chapter, looking up any Scriptures not written out in the book. Further, you are encouraged to use a concordance to check other Scriptures that relate to the ones being studied. Doing this can increase your depth of knowledge and understanding.
Answer the questions as provided at the end of each chapter to the best of your ability. An Answer Key is provided in the back of this book; however, many of the questions ask for your own thoughts or reflections and therefore your answers to those questions will be unique. Your personal answers can be shared with others at your discretion. However, sharing with and listening to others can increase your understanding as you struggle together with the concepts in the book and in God’s Word.
I hope and pray that you will greatly benefit from the learning process, and that you will use the knowledge you gain for the Kingdom of God.

And, behold, there was a woman which had a spirit of infirmity eighteen years, and was bowed together, and could in no wise lift up herself. And when Jesus saw her, He called her to Him, and said unto her, Woman, thou art loosed from thine infirmity.
Luke 13:11-12
The Holy Spirit periodically lets us catch a glimpse of the personal testimony of one of the patients of the Divine Physician Himself. This woman’s dilemma is her own, but perhaps you will find some point of relativity between her case history and your own. She could be like someone you know or have known; she could even be like you.
There are three major characters in this story. These characters are the person, the problem and the prescription. It is important to remember that for every person, there will be a problem. Even more importantly, for every problem, our God has a prescription!
