had the tent on the roof. We were making are way to the roof as we climbed out of the
window on the
third floor. We climbed out onto the fire escape, and went to the roof. We slowly moved
to the tent, as
we got closer to the tent we could see someone’s feet inside it.
ready, Paul took
the butt of his gun and hit the person’s feet. The person did not move John slowly
unzipped the
window. It took him about 2 minutes to open the window on the tent. John stood back
a little bit and
looked into the window. There was a man in there, it appeared that he shot himself in
the head. John
told Paul that there was a note on his chest it was in a sandwich bag. Paul reached in
and grabbed
the letter. He unfolded it and started to read it out loud.
now for over four months. I was up here with my wife Tina and are son Bill
we lived up here and did not have a problem with the dead that roam
around
the city. We had everything to survive for a long time, so I thought. Bill and
my wife got up early one morning and went into the building to look for
food.
Bill ran into a zombie and got bit. My wife ran to him and also got bit she
did
Kill the zombie. They came back and told me what happened, I took care
them
until they turned. I killed them both and put their bodies down on the street.
I then back up here waiting to be saved, but no one ever came. I couldn’t
Live myself any longer so came up with this, to put my last bullet in my head I
Just god will forgive me.

Tc said that he would have probably would have done to same, but a whole lot
sooner.
John told him not to think like that, my little girl needs you. The baby she is having is
going to need
you, and I know it’s not your baby but you are the one that is going to raise he or she.
My little girl is
going to want to have more kids, and you need to be there for her and them.
Tc said that what he meant to say was that if anything happened to her and that baby
he would not
want to keep living.
Paul spoke up and saidthat you can’t do that ether. The way to keep them a live is to
survive to keep their memories live.
We are on the last building on this block, the sun is going down. We are all hungry
and tiered and ready to get back to the compound. Paul and John told everyone that
this is there last building, and that as soon as we are done we can head home. Pam
said that we still have the BK to go through as well. I bet that place is going have a lot
of thing we can use in there.
John told her everyone is going to clear this building, Paul, Tc, and myself are going
to go and clear it. We want to get this done so we can all get out the city. Paul and
John told everyone to clear this build as fast as they can but be smart and be careful.
We already lost one person we don’t want to lose any one else. He told them we were
going to the BK building right next to this one.
As we walked out of the door we seen some zombies moving around. From what we
can tell they move more at night then in the day time. They move when the sun is out,
but it seem like they move more freely at night. When we got to the building, Paul
banged on the glass door like we do all the time. We waited for a few minutes before
we head in. Once we got inside we could not smell any dead bodies, but that didn’t
mean that there was no dead inside. The seating area was clear, we headed to the back
in to the kitchen. There were two walk in freezers, Paul banged one and John banged
on the other one. We didn’t hear anything, Paul opened his first. We told Tc not to
breathe through his noise, because we knew if there were any meat in there it was
going to smell bad. Paul pulls the door open and there were no zombies, but there was
a lot of rotting meat. It was Johns turn to open his door. John pulls the door open
slowly. Thinking the someone or something was going to jump out. John opened the
door all the way there were three dead people inside. They were all shot in the head
but one. That one was not shot, he was in a wheel chair and was a zombie. It looked
like he died from suffocation from being inside of the freezer. Paul shot him in the
head and Tc picked up the gun he found lying on the floor of the freezer. There were
only three bullets in the gun but one was not fired. Tc handed it to Paul, Paul looked
at the bullet that was not fired and said this must be way he didn’t shot himself. John
asked why is that? The bullet was a dud that is why it didn’t fire.
All the food in hear is no good, all the buns were moldy the meat was rotten. The
only thing we could use was the salt. Tc said that they can clean it up and reopen it
when we can get meat to replace that went bad. Paul and John said that is going to be
awhile. The rest of the team caught up with us. They told us that they were done with
that building. They asked if we could head home? Paul asked if they got everything
they could find that we could us? They said that we have two trucks fully loaded and
the other truck has Tom’s body on it so we can take him home and bury him in our
grave site for the lose ones. John told everyone to load up, we are going home. We all
loaded in to the trucks and headed to home base.
We crossed over the bridge there were a lot of dead zombies lying on the ground.
The closer we got the more we seen. When we got to the blockade there were two
people standing on top of the buses we were using to block the road. We saw on jump
down and got into the driver seat to move the bus. We drove through and headed to the
main gate. When we got there the Col. was there and asked us how everything went?
We told him that we lost one person. He asked who it was? Tc was sitting in the back
and pulled the tarp back and said that we lost Tom. We told the Col. that we would talk
to him when we got cleaned up and something to eat. The Col. told them that is fine,
just come to the president’s office he is going to want a report as well. Paul and John
told him that they will be there in about two hours.
After we got cleaned up we headed to the office to give our report. When we walked
into the office the president was standing there and said that I heard that you lost one.
Paul said yes we lost one and he has a name. The president apologized and said I
didn’t mean any disrespect to him. John got up out of his chair and said that he was a
good man we are going to miss him he has done a lot to make this place safe. Paul
and John told the president that everyone here has a roll. They are a chain and if that
chain brakes that means that we have a missing link. They said that with him gone
that means that the chain just got smaller. That president told us that he knows that
Tom cannot be replaced, but while you guys were gone we had ten new people show
up. We have them in the clinic to have them all checked out. With that said it makes
are chain a little stronger. We can use everyone we can get here.
The president said that we have to make a plan to get to that airport that you told me
about. He also said that we need to get back in to the city and start to barricade it in so
we have more room to put people. The more people we get we are going to need the
room to put everyone that comes here. Paul said that barricading the city should not
be that hard, all we need to do is to us the cars and truck we can find and block off the
roads. Once we get that done we should have no trouble getting fencing up to make it
safer.
John told the president that to get to the airport should be no trouble to get to, the only
problem we might have is that we don’t know how many zombies that could be there.
He also said that the airport is about 15 miles away the roads are clear to get there.
Knowing how many zombies that are going to be there is the hard part.
The president said that he doesn’t care about the zombies, we are going to need to get
a plane or a helicopter here.
Paul and John told the president that they were worried about his safety.
The president said not to worry about that the Col. is going to come along to protect
me. He said that he wanted us to come up with a plan tonight, we are going to use that
plan in two days so I need to two to get it done.
We told him that we can have a plan for him in the morning.
John and Paul headed to their office in the school to make a plan for the president.
It only took us a few hours but we have a plan. Now we have to come up with a plan
for him to land the plane that he is going to bring back. I said to Paul that he said he
could land it on the bridge but we have to get block off the other end near the city so
he can land it and have a safe place to get out.
Paul said that we could move the buses to the other end to open up the bridge for his,
but we are going to need at least to more people at that end.
I told him that we could put four people down there instead of two like we have at this
end. That way the four can guard everything there.
Paul told John that he was going to go to bed he was so tiered that he was asleep on
his feet.
I told him that I was heading to bed as well, I will see you in the morning.
The next morning, we met up in the dining room John was getting his coffee like he
does every day. They eat their breakfast and headed over to the president’s office to
show him and the Col. the plan that they came up with. John and Paul walked in to
the office, and told the president what they have come up with. They told the president
that they were going to take the same team they took to the city they are the best we
have. They have gone with us on most of are missions and they know what there are
doing. The president asked us if we were going to get a replacement for the man we
lost? We told him that we are not going to replace him just as yet. We gave the
president a list of things that need to be done before we head out in the morning. On
the list was to move the buses to the other end of the bridge. The president said that we
should no problem getting this all done by morning.
Paul and John headed out to the bridge to get thing going. John got on to one bus
and Paul got on to the other one. They headed across the bridge to park the buses
blocking off the road so that no zombies could get through. The Col. picked two of his
men to come with us, they were going to help guard the area with the other two we
had. They have a way to cook food on one of the buses there is a place for them to
sleep and take turns on watch. We told them that there had to be two people on watch
at all times. We headed back to the compound to get more things done. First we were
going to head to the clinic to meet the new people that came in yesterday. We walked
into the clinic Dr. Dave met us at the door. We asked him how they were doing? He
told that they were going to be fine they were hungry and exhausted.
Dr. Dave walked us in to meet the new arrivals, he started with the women. He said
this is Heather, Tammy, Sue, Samantha, Tina and her sister Emily. Now for the men,
we have Tj, Mike, Tommy, and Willard better known as Will. Mike stood up and said
that he was in the air force and I can fly anything you put me in.
John asked him if he could fly a chopper?
Mike said yes I can, why do you ask.
John told that we are heading to an airport in the morning and the President and the
Col. are going to bring an airplane back and we would like to bring back a chopper as
well.
Mike said that he would like to come along and help. Then he asked what do we need
a chopper for?
Paul spoke up before John got to say anything, and said that we would like to use it to
scout out the cities before we go into them.
Mike said now it sounds like you two know what you’re doing.
John said they hope that they are doing the right thing, we have lost a few good people
and we would like to make sure we don’t lose any one else.
Mike said I understand there were twenty of us I we don’t want to lose any more
people.
John and Paul were getting ready to leave when mike spoke up, and said you might
want to bring Tina along in the morning. She can also fly a chopper she worked for
channel 4 news in the big apple as a traffic reporter. Before that she was a pilot in the
navy, before her time was up and she did not want to rein list back up. She was in the
navy for eight years. She got out to be with her sister after their mother died. I don’t
know if she will come, because of her sister is comatose she seen her father get ripped
apart by these damn undead basters. I would not push her to come just ask her.
John said we will ask, but we will not push her into anything she doesn’t want to do.
Paul and John walked over to Tina and asked her if she would like to go to the
airport in the morning?
Tina told them that she would love to come, but she was not going to leave her sister
behind any more. She cannot come with us, I need to get her to speak and being out
there will not help. The doctor said that we could stay here.
Paul told her that we understand and that would be fine.
John told her that he would have his wife Mia come over, and sit down and talk with
you both. She helped a girl come out of her shell. We found her and her sister in a gas
station down the road.
Tina said that would be nice I have been trying to get her to come out of her shell
sense we saw are father get killed and we could not do anything. Our father only dead
because he had to run out side and grab her out of the street. There were a lot of
zombies coming at her and she froze. He grabbed her and got her in to the house but
he could not get in too many zombies pushed him down to the ground and told me to
shut the door and to keep her safe. We both sat there crying when it came to me that
we needed to get out of there before they got into the house. We met up with Mike and
the others out there about two months ago and he has protected us sense.
John told her that him and Paul had to leave for now but I will send my wife over
soon. He also said that they were sorry to hear what happened to their father but you
will be safe here.
Tina asked before you leave can I get my pistol back they took it from me when we
came in?
Paul said that he will see what he can do.
She said think you it was my dad’s gun and I would love to have it back. It’s the only
thig I have to remember him by.
Paul said that he understands and that he would do everything he could to get it back
to her.
