My dad looked up at Nick, “You’re going to do just fine, son.  You just love these two, and any other little ones that come along after him, with everything you have in you.”

My parents visited, and took a million pictures, for an hour before leaving.  We’d given them the key to our apartment so that they wouldn’t have to travel home and could come back and visit later in the day.  Nate was starting to get fussy and the nurse came in to help me feed him for the first time.  She left when he’d successfully latched on and was busy filling up.

“That was awkward,” Nick said with a smile as he watched our son breastfeeding.

I laughed, “At least he caught on quickly.  I read horror stories about babies who wouldn’t latch on and all the things they had to do to teach them how to feed.”

Nick grinned and grabbed our son’s little hand, “Of course he’s a natural.  He’s a Fletcher, we’re breast men!”

I laughed again and Nate looked up at me.  “Is this where it starts?  Is he going to be obsessed with tits now because of me?”

            Nick laughed, “Probably.”

I sighed and turned to face him, “Thank you.”

            “For what?”

“For hooking up with me at the beach,” I said with a grin.

He smiled, “We did not hook up.  We had a very short relationship that moved at a very fast pace.”

I smiled and put my free hand on his face, “I love you, baby, but let’s not kid ourselves.  We hooked up.”
