Before this misadventure began in the hospital the other night, their evenings together were never intimate. The men were on their best behavior. Their kisses were chaste when they would say goodnight, which confused Anita as their words of wanting a relationship contradicted their actions. It sucked that the more intimate actions came once this whole fiasco with Virgil began.

Pulling together her bravery, she breathed in deeply. “Will you guys sleep with me tonight?”

Three bodies stiffened around her. Dave’s arms tightened around her waist as both the hands that she was holding tightened.

“I know what y’all said,” Anita quickly added. “It’s our first night here, so why don’t we start out right. I’m not asking for sex. I just want to feel you guys around me when I sleep. Please?”

James glanced at both of his friends before looking back at her. “You do know that we have to get up early?”

“Yes.”

“We don’t want you to be uncomfortable, darlin’,” Dave’s deep voice sounded at her ear.

“I’ll be fine,” Anita said confidently as a blush stole over her cheeks. “I’ve actually enjoyed having one or all of you with me the last couple of nights.”

Brilliant smiles appeared on three faces. Kevin leaned over and let his lips graze across Anita’s before rising from the bed. James followed suit and the two headed out the door, pushing and shoving each other to get there first, bringing out a laugh from deep within Anita.

Great, she thought. What are these guys going to teach her boys?

Dave lifted her from his lap and placed her on the bed next to him. “Sorry about that. Sometimes, I’m embarrassed to be seen with them.”

Anita lifted her hand and caressed his cheek. “Don’t worry about it. I like that they can be themselves.” She leaned forward and kissed him, letting her lips linger a bit before pulling back just a bit. “Thank you.”

Confusion crinkled his brow. “For what?”

“For loving me,” she said, her lips close to his. Kissing him again, Anita felt his love surround her and she felt right for the first time in a long time. He kissed her back like a man dying of thirst. His lips drank from hers fervently, sucking on them as if he could drink them down.

When Dave pulled back, his lips parting from hers, they both drew in a deep staggering breath. Anita hadn’t realized she had been holding her breath for so long until his lips had parted from hers and she felt as if her lungs were going to explode.

Dave’s eyes stared deeply into hers, looking so deep she felt as if he could see her deepest darkest secrets. The green of his eyes had deepened to emerald though small flecks of gold sparkled within them.

After what seemed like minutes but was probably no more than thirty seconds, Anita blinked. Her lashes lowered shyly, batting against her cheeks. Dave leaned forward and kissed her on the forehead. “You get ready for bed, darlin’, I’ll be back with the other two shortly.”

Rising from the bed, Dave let his hand caress her cheek one last time before he left the room. Anita watched his retreating form. The muscles in his shoulders bunched as he moved and his ass flexed beneath his jeans. She felt the warmth trickle from her cunt once again.

Anita rose from the bed and rifled through the dresser drawers to find her pajamas. Chuckling to herself, she had to wonder what her men would say when they saw her in the flannel she held in her hands. She didn’t have anything sexy to wear. Making a note to herself, she would need to pick up a few things for herself when she and Lyndee went shopping.

Going into the bathroom, she changed her clothes, washed her face, and brushed her teeth. Exiting the room, she moved around the large headboard that shielded the bathroom door from the rest of the room, she was startled to find all three men already in her bed.

Dave was closest to her, while Kevin was on the other side of the bed. James must have drawn the short straw since he was lounging across the foot of the bed. All three had smiles on their faces. None seemed too shocked at her attire.

Dave noticed her startled look and was on his feet in the blink of an eye. Taking her by the hand, he led her to the bed. With flair, he motioned with his free hand for her to join them. “Join us, sweetheart. We promise to be gentlemen.”

Smiling, she caressed his cheek before climbing into the bed, scooting to the middle. Dave climbed in next to her while Kevin scooted in closer to her. “Turn over on your side, darlin’ and hug Kevin,” Dave instructed since she looked confused.

Doing as she was told, Anita slipped her arm around Kevin’s waist while Dave spooned her from behind. Pulling the covers up, Dave made sure she was comfortable before turning the bedside lamp off. James moved a hand to the calf.

Anita felt cherished and comforted as all three men found a way to hold her. As she drifted off to sleep, her heart and mind were at peace for the first time in months.

* * * *

The next morning was hectic trying to get the men off to work and then get the boys ready for school. They were going to have to leave early to get them to their school in Kalispell so along with the list of things the men had ordered and their credit cards, Lyndee and Anita set off.

After dropping the boys off and checking in with Mrs. Massey to let her know the boys and Anita were doing well at the new house, Anita and Lyndee stopped for breakfast. Over eggs, bacon, pancakes, and coffee the two women bonded.

Since the day in the emergency waiting room when she first met the men and women of the Circle G, Anita had admired Lyndee Dwyer. The woman was petite in stature, but her heart was bigger than any of the men she knew.

The woman had been wronged by Angela but she forgave her and had become her friend. Running Wolf had been shot and nearly died while trying to save Lyndee from the Russian mob and Lyndee helped the man get the medical help he needed while in turn, the man found his true loves.

Lyndee was the first woman Anita knew to be in a ménage relationship and she felt she could learn a lot from her.

The two women sat in a back corner away from the other patrons of the restaurant. Quietly Lyndee explained how she had met her three men and how they had come to be in a ménage relationship. Lyndee had been raised in Chicago and had lived in Denver after that. She had never heard of polyamorous relationships before Storm, Trey, and Austin had found her. Now, she confessed, she would never go back to having just one man love her.

“It is overwhelming at first,” Lyndee said. “Since I had never been with a man before, I didn’t know what to do or when, but they just took over and I never have to worry about doing something wrong. They are dominant so they just do what they want to do. When we have our one on one time is when I get nervous because I’m not sure of myself. I’ve been getting better, but I prefer the three of them together.

“The thing I enjoy the most is never being alone. I think you got that idea that day in the hospital when we met. One of them is always around, which is nice but if they aren’t, then I still feel them around me. They make me feel so special all the time. They’re protective, loving, and attentive. What more could you ask out of men?”

Anita had a list of questions to ask, but as Lyndee spoke, she seemed to cover many of those questions on her own. Anita was anxious to have the main question that Lyndee hadn’t covered yet answered.

“What of jealousy between the men?” she asked before taking a sip of coffee. “How do you handle that?”

Lyndee covered Anita’s free hand with her own. “As long as there is trust and, yes, love, between the men, then there is no jealousy.”

“What if I spend too much time with one than the other?”

“You won’t want to.” Lyndee smiled slyly. “It may be different with you, but I find that I prefer to be with all of them, but on those rare occasions I am alone with one of them, the others have encouraged it. When I am down in the dumps or stressed from work, Trey is the one to lift my spirits. Storm, well, he is more into discipline, though all of them help in that department. Austin may seem rough on the outside, but he is my strength. They all have different qualities that complement each other and me.”

Nodding her understanding, she recognized what Lyndee was referring to when it came to separate personalities. Nervously, Anita’s hands turned the coffee cup around and around until Lyndee set her hand on her forearm. “So, what has you still jittery?”

The smile on her face when Anita looked back at the woman who was fast becoming her friend gave Anita an indication that Lyndee already knew the answer to her own question.

Even though she was comfortable with Lyndee, there was still the subject she never thought she would ever ask anyone in her entire life. Dragging her upper teeth along her lower lip, she looked back down into her small bit of coffee left in the cup. Taking a deep breath and then releasing it, she looked back up at Lyndee, sheepishly.

“What about the…um…” Then, lowering her voice, she asked, “the BDSM?”

Chapter Ten

A slight blush brushed the FBI agent’s cheeks just as the middle-aged waitress came up to the table. “Is there anything else I can get you ladies this morning?” she asked cheerfully.

Anita thought that if the woman knew what they were talking about, she would turn tail and run. A slight giggle emanated from Anita at the thought and she had to catch herself.

“No, thank you,” Lyndee responded, her smile touching her eyes.

As the woman took their dirty dishes and turned from the table, Anita glanced at Lyndee and saw bedevilment in her iris-colored eyes. At that moment, she knew the woman was going to be a great friend and someone she would be able to have fun with.

Once again alone, Lyndee leaned a bit closer to Anita. “Do you know anything about the subject?”

Shrugging, Anita wasn’t sure how to answer, so she told the truth. “Just from what I have read in books,” mumbled, afraid of Lyndee’s reaction.

Registering surprise when Lyndee looked at her with a slight smile on her face, she found it wasn’t mocking in any way. Letting the tension ease from her body, she let herself relax and listened intently to her new friend.

“The best place to go would be the internet. Or, better yet…have the guys take you to a club. You can get a very good idea of how the whole thing works. It’ll show you how others deal with each other in that atmosphere. Unfortunately, the one we go to is in Denver. I wish someone would open one around here. Even though we have our own dungeon, it’s not like others can use it at the same time.”

Surprise hit Anita again at Lyndee’s words. She was so comfortable with the subject. Anita didn’t know if she would be that comfortable with the subject, ever. Then it hit her! They have their own dungeon?

Her face must have given away her thoughts as Lyndee asked, “Are you all right?”

Suddenly, Anita’s throat was dry. Her mind was darting in so many different directions that she was certain her mind was going to split. Finally remembering the question, she looked up at Lyndee and blurted before she realized it, “You have your own dungeon?”

Both women looked around quickly to make sure no one had heard the question. Once they saw that all the patrons and the staff were going about their business, they looked back at each other. Rose colored Anita’s cheeks. “Sorry about that.”

“No problem.” Lyndee smiled. “And, yes. We have a dungeon in the basement. I’m sure your guys will equip your basement into one eventually. Of course, if that’s what you want. Remember, it’s all about communication. You have to be open and honest with them. Don’t ever be afraid to ask for what you want and tell them when you don’t like something.”

“But won’t they be upset if I don’t like something they do?”

“No,” Lyndee answered sweetly, a smile still on her face. “No. If they are true Doms, they won’t be upset. That is why you have a safe word. Now, I will tell you, they will push your limits.”

Anita’s brows pulled together in confusion. She had read all the things Lyndee was telling her but she didn’t believe it all. Now, here Lyndee was explaining all the things she had secretly been interested in.

“What do you mean by ‘pushing my limits’?”

“If you say you can’t do something, they’ll at least want you to try. Once you find something you like, they’ll push you further. Then, if you have a problem with it or feel it’s too much, you use your safe word and then talk about it,” Lyndee explained. “When they first took me to the club in Denver, I didn’t want to be there. I got over that. When they wanted me to wear hardly anything at all, I really pitched a fit, but they pushed it and now I don’t have a problem with it. Sometimes, I wish they would strip me down while we are there, but they won’t.”

Caught up in the moment, Anita had to find out why and asked breathlessly, “Why?”

Anita had to keep from giggling when Lyndee’s lips pouted. “Because of my job. They say that since I’m with the government, it wouldn’t be right. Plus, there are people there who know me, or might know me. It’s an image thing.”

Excitement surged through Anita though trepidation was underlying. She couldn’t wait until the guys tried something with her, but then again, she could.

“Well, if you have any questions, you are always welcome to ask. Angela is one to talk to, also, but never when Connor is around. That just gets awkward. I learned that one the hard way.”
