A VAMPIRE’S CURE FOR A WEREWOLF
Mr. William R. Hart saw his name on a sign as he entered the terminal area of the Louisville Airport. The flight from New York to Kentucky was just long enough to go through all his updates regarding his new estate still under construction. By the time his corporate jet touched down, He had compiled a notebook full of issues to address with his contractor regarding all the progress done on his new residence. Mr. Hart had completed the move of his corporate offices from the ‘Big Apple’ to Louisville in just one year. His company was finally returning to its roots and a cheaper corporate tax base. It had been his dream to return to Kentucky and now it was about to become true. Last year Mr. Hart had purchased a six hundred and forty acre tract of wooded land near Bristow Kentucky,
Hart waved and smiled at his new driver holding up his name and fell in step with the young man.
“Your name is Carl right?”
“Yes sir. Do we have any more luggage to pick up sir?”
“Not on this trip. All I have is my laptop and my briefcase. My secretary came down with the last of my things a few days ago. The movers should have the rest of my belongings at the mansion by now.”
Carl offered to relieve his boss of both items but Hart retained his two possessions and followed his Chauffeur toward the parking area. The two men moved through the crowd and in to the chilly morning air outside of the terminal. Mr. Hart’s limo was parked a short distance away and Carl opened the rear door for his employer.
“Thank you Carl.”
The white haired Mr. Hart smiled and entered the vehicle as his driver then went around to the other side and placed the black spotless machine into gear and began to drive the limousine from the parking area. Mr. Hart was already on his laptop before his ride left the airport. He smiled at the aerial view of his new estate.
“Is this your first trip back since last March sir?”
Mr. Hart looked out the window smiling.
“Yes.”
“So the last time you were here your new home wasn’t built yet was it?”
“No. The last time I saw it, a clearing on the property was being surveyed. Back then, it was only a clearing a quarter of a mile back down a dirt road in the middle of my forest.”
“Sir I believe you will be pleased with all the progress.”
“So you have gone out there?”
“Yes sir. I have made quite a few trips on the orders of your vice-president. He had me take all of your boxed up files to the mansion. They are all now in your new study. I also ran your secretary Ariel out there to unpack everything and get you set up. She is quite efficient.”
“Yes. She has been with me for many years. She is also a Kentucky girl.”
“By the time we were leaving there a week ago, your study looked like you have been using it for years. The only large remaining item for your personal attention was the unloading of your gun collection.”
“She knows me all too well… Is the Internet on?”
“Yes sir. The wide band connection was up and running. She said it was going to be your office away from the office.”
“And what about the guest house?”
“The four unit guest house out back has been completed for some time. Your head butler, Lloyd has already moved into his unit along with your groundskeeper Henry and your cook Margaret. No one has moved into the fourth unit as of yet.”
