“Your pussy is so juicy. I love it that way, babe,” he said hoarsely.

He slid his tongue all around her clit, lapping up her wetness. As he sucked on her sweet spot, Cara groaned and writhed, her skin damp from sweat. Slipping two fingers deep inside her, Hawk finger-fucked her while her sex clenched and gripped his fingers. With the other hand, he reached up and pinched her nipples. Cara exploded in a thousand surges of pleasure as her body convulsed, and as she rode the wave of ecstasy, she cried out Hawk’s name over and over. He pulled her to him. “I love how you respond to my touches, my sweet wildcat,” he muttered.

When her breathing returned to normal, he kissed her shoulders and nipped them with his teeth. She reached down and grabbed his cock, tightening her grip on his hardness while she circled the top of his cock with her thumb. He flipped her onto her stomach and spread her legs with his hands.

“Get on your knees,” he rasped.

She complied, smashing her chest on the mattress, her ass high, her pussy splayed open and waiting for his cock. She knew he saw her swollen lips twitch, and she craved him inside her warmness.

“I’m gonna fuck you hard, real hard. Your pussy has been aching for this.”

He slid his shaft up and down her folds as her wetness coated his length. She quivered as he kneaded her ass cheeks, bending down to kiss, bite, and lick while he spanked each one to redness. Each slap, followed by his caressing mouth, brought Cara to heightened levels of passion. As she neared climax, Hawk plunged his cock deep into her as his fingers stroked her clit. He pounded in and out, thrusting her forward into the headboard. Reaching over, he put a pillow between her head and the headboard as he fucked her hard. His breath came in pants, and his fingers quickened their strokes on her nub as each plunge brought her further along.

As his legs and ass tightened, her pussy snatched his cock. Cara screamed out, “Hawk!” and her muscles acted like clamps around his squirting dick. He followed with, “Fuck, Cara, fuck!” as all his tension released. They both collapsed on the bed, spent, panting, and tingling.

Hawk rolled off Cara’s back then drew her into him so her ass fit against his drained dick. He wrapped his arms around her as she pushed her hair off her sweaty face. Then, reaching behind her, she patted Hawk’s butt. He kissed her ear, murmuring, “I love you.”

Placing her hands over his, she snuggled back further into him. “I love you, Hawk. I can’t imagine my life without you.”

“You won’t ever have to, babe, because I’m here to stay.”

He tightened his hold on her, and her heavy eyes closed. She let herself drift closer to sleep with Hawk’s arms protectively around her. In the last moments between wake and sleep, she knew she would never have to go through anything by herself again. Her man had her back, she had his, and they loved each other. Life was good.

Kylie and Doris
hugged Cara when she came into the kitchen bearing a platter of sausage and peppers.

“’Bout time you wore Hawk’s patch,” Doris said as she stubbed out her cigarette.

“I’m so happy for you, Cara,” Kylie squealed. “I’d love to meet someone who cares about me.”

“You will, Kylie.”

“Not if my dad can help it. Guys are terrified of him. I’ll die a virgin.”

Doris and Cara laughed. “Wait until you go away to college. You’ll see how things will change for you,” Cara said.

Kylie brought her fingers to her lips. “Remember, my dad doesn’t know anything about my plans yet. I’m trying to keep the peace for as long as possible.”

At that moment, Banger walked into the kitchen. He hadn’t seen Cara since that dreadful night. Smacking his lips when he saw the platter of Italian sausage and fried peppers, he took a taste. “Damn, Hawk’s lucky he’s got a woman who can cook.” He fixed his eyes on her and said in a low voice, “You done good with that situation with the Nomads. I’m proud to have you in the Insurgents family.”

“Thanks, Banger. That means a lot to me.”

Cara went out to the great room carrying a tray of beef brisket, the steam mixing with the cigarette smoke as she put the tray on the buffet table. One of her duties as an old lady was to prepare and set up food for family get-togethers, normally held on late Sunday afternoons. In nice weather, the barbecues were in the yard, and in inclement weather, they were in the great room.

Cara saw Jax at one of the tables. She went over to him and tapped his shoulder. He turned around and grinned when he saw her.

“How are you doing, Jax?”

“Good as new. Heard Hawk got off his ass and claimed you.”

“Yeah.”

“Thanks for visiting me in the hospital and checking up on me.”

“You’re welcome. I’m just glad you’re feeling fine. You gave us all a scare.”

Hawk came up to her, his arm possessively around her. Her leather vest with his patch was a beacon to all men to stay the fuck away.

“I love seeing you wear my patch,” he breathed in her ear.

“I love wearing it and seeing how happy it makes you.”

“I never thought I’d have a woman wear my patch, but now that you’re in my life, I can’t picture it without you.”

He kissed her hard in front of all his brothers and Cara kissed him back, happy to be a part of his club, his world, and his life. Standing in the smoke-filled room, with all the brothers and old ladies and Hawk by her side, she realized she was whole for the first time in her life.

Yes, life was good again. It was very good.

Epilogue

Four months later

“I
t’s all over?”
Cara asked Ralph Bowles, the deputy district attorney assigned to the Nomads’ cases.

“Yes, they pled guilty to firearm possession and manslaughter in exchange for us dropping attempted rape, assault with a deadly weapon, sexual assault, and a bunch of other charges that would’ve gotten them over a hundred years in prison, if convicted. Considering Rot and Beaver were on parole, and Viper is an ex-felon, the weapon charges alone will give them years in prison. They’re looking at serving a minimum of twenty-five years. They and other members of their gang are also facing federal charges of drug and sex trafficking along with a slew of weapon charges. You can be sure they’ll be gone for the long stretch.”

“That’s a huge relief. I dreaded a trial. The last thing I wanted to do was see Viper again. Good job.”

“The Department of Corrections will notify you whenever any of them comes up for parole.”

“Yeah, I know the drill. Thanks for all your hard work, Ralph.”

As Cara clicked off her phone, relief washed over her.
It’s finished. After all this time, it’s over.

Asher came into Cara’s office. “I overheard. I’m glad you have this behind you.”

“Thanks, Asher. Hawk, Jax, Chas, and Ruben will be relieved, as well. There’s one thing a biker doesn’t want to do, and that’s cooperate with law enforcement.”

“Whatever happened to the dirty cops and detectives who were in cahoots with the Nomads?”

“They got fired and are being prosecuted. It’ll serve them right to be in the same prison with the Nomads. We’ll see how friendly everyone will be under the same roof. Good riddance to all of them.”

“You’re taking off this weekend?” Asher asked.

“Hawk surprised me with a weekend trip to Aspen. We’re going on his Harley. It should be beautiful, now that spring is finally here.”

“I still find it funny when I think of you on the back of a Harley.”

“I love it. I’m thinking of buying one for myself.”

“That’ll kill your mother, for sure. She any better about you and Hawk?”

“Very slowly coming around, and for her, that’s huge. I better go to my arraignments. If you want, you can take off early this afternoon. I won’t be back until after four.”

“Thanks, boss. Have a nice weekend.”

The ride along
Deer Trail Pass showcased hints of spring as the milder air replaced the colder winter winds. A lone red-tailed hawk flew over an open field near the rocky cliffs. Trees sprouted green leaves with beginning floral buds as the mild temperature opened the door to a flurry of life after the long, frigid winter.

Cara, arms around Hawk’s waist, marveled at the beauty of the spring season. It was a short season in Colorado; the newly green leaves could easily be stunted by a freezing, wet snowfall. Just seeing the greenery beginning to fill out the bare branches caused a flutter of elation in Cara. Spring was the time for rebirth. She had come a long way since that horrible night in November. The coldness of the wintry air had matched the iciness in her heart when she found out that her dear cousin was a killer. It had taken her months to come to grips with that realization, and even though she missed the Eric she knew, she breathed easier knowing a cruel, calculating killer was stopped.

She leaned her head on Hawk’s shoulder and he turned around to look at her, his hair blowing around his face. Tilting forward, she kissed his cheek. She had been Hawk’s old lady since the end of December. For the past four months, she wore his patch. Every time she donned the leather vest or the jacket bearing his patch, his eyes beamed with pride. She loved him more than she ever thought it was possible to love a man.

Through the dark months which followed the awful night in the shack, Hawk had been her patient rock; she never could’ve done it without his strength and support. He was an amazing man, and she still couldn’t believe he was all hers. Whenever women came on to him, which was often, he’d squeeze her hand or put his arm around her shoulders as if to say he didn’t want any other woman but her. A funny, warm sensation went through her each and every time.
I love being Hawk’s woman.

Cara adored the quaintness and elegance of Aspen, only an hour drive from Pinewood Springs. Cara used to come to Aspen a lot with her parents when she was a kid, and later with friends, but it’d been four years since her last visit. She was happy Hawk suggested it.

The Harley stopped in front of the historic landmark Hotel Jubal. Located in the heart of the town, the hotel harkened back to Aspen’s silver-mining days. Cara adored it, as it blended elegance with mountain spirit.

“I love this hotel,” she gushed as she hugged Hawk’s arm.

“I know how you like old stuff.”

“Guess that’s why I’m with you.”

He pretended to be insulted as he swatted her butt.

A crackling fire in a large, stone fireplace greeted them when they walked into the lobby. A blend of modern and historic décor made up the large room. Sleek, white couches mixed well with over-stuffed brown couches, and large Native American rugs accented the hardwood floors of the lobby. It was quite lovely.

A short bellman escorted Cara and Hawk to their room, and a beautiful suite welcomed them complete with stunning views of the white-capped Rocky Mountains. The room’s floor-to-ceiling windows were like a frame, the spectacular mountain range the painting.

After tipping the bellman, Hawk came behind Cara and nuzzled his face into her neck. “Like it?”

“I love it. Can you afford this?” Worry creased her brow.

He laughed. “Yeah, babe, I can afford it. I have a dispensary, remember? Do you know how much I make with one little dispensary?”

“Enough to afford the room?” she joked.

“Yeah, something like that.” He lightly sucked on the tender spot on the side of her neck, right above her collarbone.

“You’re going to mark me.”

“I plead guilty to that. What are you gonna do about it?” He sucked harder.

“Not a damn thing.”

She turned around in his arms and faced him. Brushing his lower lip with her tongue, she unzipped his pants.

“Doing that is going to get you fucked,” he rasped.

“Promise?”

Hawk led Cara into the spacious bedroom, and as he sat on the edge of the bed, he tugged her to him and kissed her. Their whispering soon turned to moans of pleasure as they gave way to their desire.
