He nodded stupidly as he stroked him up and down.

Her hand stilled. “I can’t hear you.”

“Yes.” He rocked forward, encouraging her to start again.

She giggled. He reached out to grab the wall. His legs no longer functioned. Before he could even think, she had unzipped his jeans and was sliding them down past his thighs. A part of him wanted to grab her and throw her on the mattress, but another part wanted desperately to see how far she took this.

Since he couldn’t move, it was a moot point. He wasn’t going anywhere now that she’d made short work of his pants and briefs and shoved them to his ankles. He kicked them off rapidly. Then she was kneeling before him, studying him carefully.

“You’re very impressive,” she said finally.

“Thank you,” he managed through gritted teeth.

He had just decided to cut short her curiosity and take charge when she leaned forward and licked him.

His eyes might have rolled back in his head.

“Sheri,” he ground out. She couldn’t possibly have any idea how cruel she was being.

She took another tentative lick. “Yes?”

He hadn’t really meant to start a conversation, not if she had better things in mind. He just shook his head.

Lightly, she drew the tip of him into her mouth and sucked. He grabbed the corner of the wall harder.

“You know,” she said between softly taking him in and out of her mouth, “I don’t have a lot of experience with this. You’ll have to tell me if I’m doing it right.”

“You’re doing just fine now.”

Then she drew him in deep, her warm, moist mouth wrapping completely around him. He closed his eyes and concentrated on breathing, feeling a tight ache building in him. Then she was gone again. He pried his eyes open.

“Is that okay?” She looked up at him, eager but tentative.

Hell. “That’s great, gorgeous. You’re doing great.”

Repeating her action, she drew back again and said, “Let me know what I can do to make it better.”

Watching her head bent over him, her chestnut hair falling across her long cheekbones, he couldn’t stop himself. He growled at her. “There is something you can do. Don’t stop to talk. Just keep going, baby.”

“Oh!” She blinked in understanding. With a sudden ferocious stare at him, she gripped his thighs with her hands and proceeded to do precisely that.

He had asked for it, and he was getting it. She moved quickly, her tongue sliding down him, her hair tickling his leg. Gripping her head, he sank into the pleasure, stroke after stroke, until he knew he couldn’t take much more.

Each time she took him deep inside her moist mouth, her confidence seemed to grow. It was the hottest damn thing he had ever seen or heard. She started to make her own sounds, soft little sighs of pleasure that matched his groans through gritted teeth.

Sinking his fingers into her hair, he tried to urge her head back. She didn’t move. “Sheri.”

She didn’t stop.

He was getting desperate now. He only had another minute or so here until he was a goner. “Sheri, you need to stop.” Groaning, he saw her hair swing back and forth as she shook her head no.

Dammit. She wasn’t going to stop. And he wasn’t going to stop. Closing his eyes, he gave in to his body and felt the first waves overcoming him. With her head still clenched in his hands, he came inside her, a curse blasting out of his mouth.

The throbbing receded, and a second later, she was staring up at him with a very pleased expression on her flushed face.

He was still in shock. It wasn’t very often he got to indulge in that particular ending. The majority of the women he’d slept with had taken some coaxing to let him pop one off in their mouth.

“Why didn’t you stop, baby?” he managed to choke out as his fingers idly rubbed the ends of her hair.

The little sneak had the nerve to grin at him. “You said don’t stop to talk. Just keep going.”

His own words thrown back at him. He laughed in exhilaration, his legs relaxing. “You’re a naughty girl, Sheri. Did you know that?”

He pulled her up until she was wrapped in his arms. She tilted her head and gave him an innocent stare that didn’t fool him one bit. He pressed her full breasts against his bare chest, the lace of her bra brushing across his skin.

“Besides,” she added slyly, “I figured that’s what you wanted me to do or you wouldn’t have worn that T-shirt the other night.”

The offensive T-shirt had suggested she do precisely what she’d just done. Not exactly the result he’d expected from it. He had meant to make her uncomfortable, blush a little. Which she had. He’d never expected her to actually follow the directive. He was damn glad she had. Maybe later he would hop online and order about a half dozen new shirts with all kinds of suggestions.

“You surprise me, Sheri.”

“So it was okay, Luke?”

That she could even ask him that blew his mind. Hadn’t the animal roar he’d tossed off told her anything? “It was amazing. Like you.”

“Oh.” She snuggled in his arms. “Good.”

He let her rest there against him for a minute, breathing in her clean berry smell, kissing the top of her head. Her breath danced across his chest in soft, even exhales, and he felt a true sense of contentment.

Happy. That’s what he was. Sheri made that restless grumpy feeling he’d been having go away.

“Where do you get them anyway?” she murmured.

“Get what?”

“Those shirts. The stores I shop in never have anything like that.”

The shirts. He had no interest in talking about his wardrobe, but her curiosity made him laugh softly. “My mom’s boyfriend Rex is a biker. He’s a good guy. They’ve been together ten years or so now. He brings me a shirt back every time he goes on a road trip on his Harley.”

“Your mom’s boyfriend?” she said, sounding quietly horrified.

It amused him. “Yeah. It’s like a souvenir for me. It’s his way of trying to bond with me.” That and hiring a stripper for his twenty-first birthday. At the time, he would have preferred it if Rex had just taken him to the movies, but he hadn’t wanted to disappoint the guy so he had gritted his teeth and pretended to love it.

“He’s a good guy. He treats my mom right. I kind of have to wear them sometimes or I’d hurt his feelings.”

She snuggled closer. “That sounds nice of him. And nice of you.”

“I don’t want to talk about Rex or my mom.” Dropping his hands to her curving behind, he massaged her delicately, his grip growing tighter as his body reacted to the soft hardness of hers. She was firm yet curvaceous in the right places, and he couldn’t get enough of her.

She sighed, a breathy sound that told him that she might appreciate some attention in return for the surprise she’d given him. He tilted her head back and kissed her deeply, slowly, savoring the salty taste of her mouth.

He took the sides of her face in his hands and deepened the kiss, delving into her with his tongue, feeling a feverish ache building in him again. Her breasts were pressed against him, taunting him with their fullness, and he pulled back to gaze at her.

“You’re so gorgeous I can’t stand it.”

She was starting to believe him. Instead of going wide with shock, her eyes lit with satisfaction. A smile danced across her lips.

He undid the zipper on her shorts. She trembled, her head arching back as he slid his hand inside the tight denim and cupped her, his fingers rolling back and forth over her lace panties.

“Luke…”

It was a sound that drove him insane. The way she said his name, with all her need and passion moaning out with the single word, nearly undid him.

“Yeah?”

He slipped a finger inside her panties and stroked the soft moist flesh. She shuddered.

“Now, Luke. Now.” The words were ragged, wrung out of her as she rocked against his finger.

His plans for slow seduction were destroyed. He couldn’t resist that plaintive cry. He gave her shorts and panties a tug until they dropped to the floor. “Lean against the wall,” he said, already pushing her back.

Together, they moved two feet until her back hit the bedroom wall. He paused long enough to free her luscious breasts from their scrap of lace and kiss each nipple, drawing one into his mouth with a tug.

Stepping back with difficulty, he scanned the floor for his duffel bag and hastily dumped its contents out on the floor. After finding what he was looking for, he ripped the condom box open, scattering the wrappers all over. He grabbed one and turned back to her. She took it from him and rolled it onto his thick cock. He jerked under her light fingers as he pushed her back against the floor.

Holding her arms, he closed the distance between them, reveling in the anticipation that was on her face. For this moment, she was his, only his, and he was going to give as good as he’d gotten.

“I see where yoga has paid off.” He watched her wrap her legs around his, her back pressed to the wall.

She flushed, laughing softly. “And I thought I did it to relax.”

“Now you know all the hidden benefits.” Bending at the knees, cradling her, he pressed into her.

They both gasped as he filled her, Luke conscious of nothing but the need to give Sheri the pleasure she was giving him. In and out, he pumped faster, reveling in the sounds she made, the way her moist body clung to his cock like a wet glove. Her back rhythmically thumped against the wall as he pounded her until she cried out, her fingers digging into his shoulders.

She could be drawing blood, but he didn’t care, nor did she seem to mind being shoved into the drywall with each stroke. As she shuddered in his arms, he exploded with her and pressed his forehead against hers as he fought to breathe.

“Oh, yes,” she whispered in ecstasy.

He had never heard more wonderful words.

Sheri was a little confused. First of all, she didn’t understand how she could have had more fulfilling sex with Luke Weiss in the last twenty-four hours than she had had with Mark in the entire two years of their relationship.

Second of all, she couldn’t understand why she felt like someone had inflated her chest with a balloon, making her feel breathless and giddy every time she looked at Luke.

It was starting to unnerve her. She couldn’t stay away from him. She couldn’t stop smiling. She felt irresistible urges to feed him. She actually found herself gazing into his eyes over yet another dinner of takeout food as she considered baking him chocolate chip cookies.

Cookies? She gave herself a mental shake as he smiled sensually back at her while sprawled across the floor with his head propped up by his hand. He ate his sub sandwich with gusto, wearing nothing but his tattoos and his smile.

She didn’t even know how to bake cookies. And why on earth did she think she needed to provide them for Luke? Because she was doing it. Attaching. Nesting. Damn it. Absently, she took a bite of her own sandwich. She had put her panties and her tank top back on, unable to just blithely sit there eating in the nude. There were some things even his wicked grin couldn’t inspire her to do.

“What are you thinking?” he said.

“I have no idea.” That was the truth, in a manner of speaking.

“How about tomorrow night we stay at your apartment? I’d like to see what we can do in a real bed.” He grinned.

She felt herself flush. Tomorrow. He was talking about tomorrow. Why did that make her heart leap? Because she was an idiot, reading more into it than she should. Her place. A bed, real food, fluffy towels to dry each other off with after a shower together. Like a real relationship.

“I’ll cook dinner,” she blurted out. Because that was definitely not attaching. She mentally groaned at her inability to control her emotions.

He stopped chewing. “I’d like that,” he said softly.

Suddenly afraid she was going to burst into tears for no apparent reason, she was relieved when his cell phone rang. He ignored it.

“Aren’t you going to answer it?”

“No.”

“It could be important.”

He shrugged. “They’ll call back.” He didn’t even glance at the screen to see who it was.

Wondering if it was Angel, she said, “Hey, where’s Greedy?”

“He’s missing.”

“What?” That certainly distracted her from her goofy feelings of joy and anxiety swirled together in one gigantic knot of confusion. The joy deflated. The anxiety climbed.

“I don’t know what happened to him.” He shrugged. “I’m bummed about it, but hopefully he’ll turn up. Hey, why don’t I put some pants on and we can finish eating outside? The grass has got to be softer than this carpet.”

“It is scratchy, isn’t it?” Not to mention responsible for one than one rug burn on her back and side. “I guess because it’s new.”

They went back to the bedroom and she pulled her shorts on while Luke dug through his bag for a clean pair of anything to wear. She had to admit that his laundry habits weren’t exactly what she most admired about him. He gave up on a clean pair of jeans and pulled a rumpled pair from the pile in the corner.

He laughed at her expression. “What? Sitting around the house in these while watching TV doesn’t qualify them as dirty.”

“I didn’t say anything.” Her fingers just itched to grab them, wash them, then iron and hang them in the closet.
