Both sit up, immediately catching my tone of voice. I bite back a giggle.

"What?" Drake exchanges a glance with Dean.

"I have a surprise for you. Both."

"A surprise?" Dean struggles to remain cool. "Like, a present?"

I smile, suddenly on the verge of tears. "Yes, kind of." Then I curl my hand protectively over my tummy.

Their eyes go so wide I almost laugh. Drake leaps up onto all fours, and Dean almost falls over.

"You sure?" Dean's voice is strangled.

I nod. Three pregnancy tests this morning were more than enough proof.

"No way!" His grin grows wider than I had ever thought possible. Then he does something that surprises the heck out of me - he throws his head back and lets go a howl of pure joy.

Drake joins him, and then both of them envelop me with kisses and hugs. We tumble over, laughing and holding onto each other tight, until I'm on my back and they're both over me.

Drake reaches down to pull my hair from my face. "I love you, Kiera."

Tears fill my eyes again.

"I love you more than you could possibly know," says Dean, voice choked. "You're my sun and stars."

I reach up and cup both of their cheeks. "And I love you. I love us. Our little family."

They beam down at me, overwhelmed, delighted, their eyes gleaming. I stare up at them, and when they lean down to kiss me, my heart almost bursts.

I know, through and through, that I'm home, where I'm meant to be, where I've always secretly wanted to be, and will never, ever leave again.

Epilogue

Myra has always devoted herself to being the best journalist there is. No story is too hard to get, no challenges too dire.
