Chapter Five

    "Hello," Ethan said.

    "Ahh!" Alex screamed. She hadn

t seen him until he was on top of her, so to speak. She giggled.

"Sorry." He stared while she laughed to herself. "Are you drunk?"

"No, I'm buzzed." She slapped hi
m in the chest. "We going to your place or mine?" Whoops. She hadn

t meant to say that out loud.

"I, uh, I don't know. Do you just want to go for coffee first or something?" He looked scared. Which was weird. It wasn't like she was scary.

    "Yes. Cof
fee. Coffee is good. I don't even know you." He could be a vampire. "You could be a vampire."

    He didn

t say anything to that. She probably sounded crazy. She was too drunk to tell. After Brena's amazingly uplifting speech about Armageddon, they had to
get shit faced together. Alex on Jager and Tequila, Bren on the cowboy. Blood drunk they called it. If you drank too much it flooded you system with oxygen and was the closest you could get to being tipsy. She hoped the cowboy was okay.

    "There

s a Cup
-O-Joes around the corner I think." He said after a bit. Now that they were out of the club she noticed a slight accent. British possibly.

    "Oh, yeah. That

s fine. My feet hurt though. You wanna carry me?" That wasn

t true but he didn

t know. She pointe
d to her shoes with the four inch heels.

"I have a car," he spouted, pointing to a black Porsche 911.

"Wow. Usually I would point out your laziness, but that

s a mighty fine car you got there. Let

s take her out." She hobbled towards it. He put an
arm around her waist, which was fine with her. The seats were leather and cold when she slid into the Porsche. She touched the leather of the dashboard, and played with the dials, trying to find the radio. He turned it on for her and The Pixies blared th
r
ough the speakers.

"You have good taste in music," she yelled. He turned the volume down. He looked confused.

"Oh, the radio. I just put it on a random station."

    "Well, li
sten up. This is a great band." She hummed along with the song. Next was a Talking Heads. "Most excellent." She bobbed her head.

    "You like this?" He asked.

    "Duh.
'Psycho killer. Qu'est-ce que c'est?
'" She laughed at his baffled expression. "I can s
ee we're not meant to be. You wanna get with me, you gotta get with my music." She teased him. His face fell.

"Hey, I was just joking. We can still have sex," she said, placing a hand comfortingly on his leg.

He sputtered and hit the breaks to avoid re
ar ending a truck. He turned to stare at her.

"Sorry. I thought you wanted to. You seemed interested earlier." She didn

t care if she looked pouty, she crossed her arms anyway. So much for the pallet cleansing.

"I am. Very interested. You have no i
dea. But I'm not sure if I wasn

t rushing things earlier."

    "We didn

t do anything but dance. How did you move too fast?"

"I suggested meeting up for coffee. Maybe I shouldn't have." He ran his hand through his hair, messing it all up. It reminded h
er of Ken earlier in the day, which made her think of the torch she was carrying for him.

"Yeah, maybe this was sudden. You should probably take me home. I live the other way though. Up North."

He slammed on the brake again, but this time took the fir
st turn he came to, pulling over onto a dark side street. "No."

"What?" She started to get' scared. But then he grabbed her neck and kissed her. Hard. It was the most erotic and intense thing she had ever experienced. He ran his other hand up the side
of her thigh. She grabbed his shoulders to push him back.

    “
What the hell? I want you, and you say no. I tell you to take me home, and you attack me." Not that she was complaining. Just confused. Wasn

t it supposed to be the other way around?

    "I'm
sorry. I just realized if I didn

t take the chance, I might not get it again." He was staring at her lips.

"Oh. Well, depending on how good you are, I might give you my number," she said and laughed.

He took that as the go ahead. He pulled the seat
back and pulled her over onto his lap, lips still pressed together. He inched his hand slowly further under her dress, as if he was unsure if it was okay. He was so possessive yet hesitant. As if he took only what she was allowing. It was heady. She grou
n
d down on him. He moaned. "I want to fuck you. You're allowed to touch me if you want." She didn

t know how to get him to take a hint, so she just said it. He stared at her for a second before he decided to unzip the back of her dress. She helped pull it
o
ver her head. He pulled his jacket off, then his shirt. She took her time feeling his chest and shoulders. Which were very fine. He bent his neck to press his lips onto her breast, caressing her tight nipples with just the brush of him mouth. He held a ha
n
dfull of her hair in his fist, pulling her head back as he kissed his way up and down her chest. She arched up higher to give him better access. Grinding and moaning, they played that way for awhile. Then he reached under her to touch her where she wanted
it most. It was exquisite. She kissed him again, licking her way down his neck before she realized she was hungry. So she pulled away quickly, undoing the buttons on his jeans to distract herself. By the time she got him out she was licking her lips in an
t
icipation. He was huge.

"Do you require a condom?" He breathed into her ear just as his tip was entering her.

"What a stupid question. Of course I do." She pushed down, to get him further in her heat.

    "Then shouldn

t we stop?" He groaned.

"Do you have one?" She pushed further.

"No." He pulled out a bit. "Do you?"

    "No." She hadn

t thought she was getting laid tonight. She didn

t really need one anyway, she couldn

t get sick. Or pregnant. But he didn

t know that. Shit. Should she stop
?

"Fuck it." She slid all the way down his erection.

"Ohhhh, good God." He exclaimed. Then he took over. He took her hips in his big hands and drove her up and down. As fast or as slow as he wanted. She bit his ear and nibbled his neck. He smelled
so good. She couldn't wait any longer.

    "Don't freak out, okay?"

"What?" He asked right before she reared back and bit him. He gasped.

His blood was hot and pumped into her mouth in the same rhythm as their love making. It was sweet. He pumped
into her faster. She pulled his life out as he pulled her orgasm. She rode him furiously looking for the peak. Then she found it. She pulled back and screamed. He fell with her. When they both came down, she remembered to lick his wounds before he bled ou
t
on his leather seats. They both panted.

"You weren't wearing any underwear." He stated blankly. He stared past her to the row of houses outside.

    "Thanks for noticing." She didn

t plan on getting laid tonight, but things happen. Boy, did they happen.

Stop saying things out loud, idiot! She has perfect breasts. The King is going to behead you if he finds out about this. She bit you. She has the cutest little fangs
ever
. She wa
sn

t wearing underwear. You

re fired for sure. Her hair smells like strawberries. She's going to hate you tomorrow. She was drunk, you took advantage. She's perfect.
This was Ethan

s inner monologue for about five minutes. Then he started to sit up. She to
ok that as a hint and got up to move to the passenger seat, but he was still inside her at that point, so it took him by surprise. The abrupt feeling of being exposed was like a slap in the face. The finality of what he had done hit him. He groaned aloud,
partly from the emotional pain of separation and partly from the feel of her dragging herself off of him. She apologized, but in a haphazard way that said she didn

t know what she was apologizing for. She didn't say anything after that. So he helped her g
e
t dressed, taking his time. She laid her head against the window after he got her dress back on. She was asleep inside of thirty seconds. He wondered if she always acted this way after mind blowing sex or if she was just really drunk. The thought made him
double up in pain again. So did the thought of her having mind blowing sex with other men. His hands flexed on the steering wheel. This was awful. He was in trouble before, but he had just fucked up to the nth degree. How was he going to explain this to h
e
r tomorrow? She wasn

t shy about showing her feelings in the least. She would probably throw things at him. He could pretend he didn

t know who she was. He could try. When it came to lying, cheating, stealing, he was the best. When it came to Alexandria,
h
e was lost. He had been trying to talk himself out of sleeping with her, considering how drunk she was, but as soon as she told him to take her home, he had panicked. What if he never got the chance again? After tomorrow, when she found out who he was, sh
e
was sure to despise him. No, he had to take that chance. He might come to regret letting himself get so close to her tomorrow, but he wouldn

t regret taking this chance to be with her. If their lives were different, he wouldn

t have hesitated in the leas
t
. But she had her life and his duties still rested with the King. They always would.

When he pulled into the lot of her apartment complex she was still sound asleep. He watched her breathing for a minute before getting out. His angel. His little devil
. She didn't wake when he pulled her from the car. She slept through being carried up the steps and when he entered her apartment. He carried her to her bedroom and undressed her. He tucked her under the covers and smoothed the hair from her face. She wok
e
briefly as he moved to leave and reached for his hand.

"I think I like you," she whispered softly, and then fell asleep again.

He smiled. That was all he could ask for. She would change her mind come tomorrow.

Chapter Six

    Alex woke the next da
y feeling better than she had any right to. After the copious amounts of alcohol she had taken in, she should be laid out all day. She glanced at her alarm clock. It was 2:00pm. She had an hour before work. She must have been really worn out. Usually she
w
oke up at noon. It took her a bit, but she slowly remembered why she felt so good, if a bit tired. Mister Blue Eyes. Christ, she didn't even know his real name. She had been so drunk by the time they met up, all she could think about was having him. And h
a
ve him she did. All of him. She felt as if she knew him so much better than she really did. She didn

t know his name but she knew he loved her while they were together in the car. He fought and lost a battle inside himself last night. Very odd. And he did
n

t say anything about her biting him. That was odd too. Maybe he didn

t get what she was doing. Maybe he knew about Vamps. Wouldn

t that be great? She wished she had gotten his number. Maybe he would be at the club again. She smiled as she got ready for w
o
rk. All giggles and prancing about the apartment thinking about ways she could find him. She had friends on the force. They could do her a tiny favor. She knew he drove a Black Porsche 911 and his description. The way his eyes rolled in the back of his he
a
d when she flexed her hips. No, that wouldn

t help. She giggled some more. Her cell had a message from Brena when she checked it.  She wrote that she was fine and asked how she fared after the cowboy. It then occurred to her she didn

t remember coming hom
e
last night. Did Blue Eyes carry her up? How did he get here? She must have been conscience enough to give her address. She thought about him carrying her up the stairs to lay her in bed. It was so sweet. And undressing her. So sexy.
