Dane collapsed on top of her, both of their bodies damp from exertion. Lydia couldn’t move, didn’t dare try. Every muscle in her body was sore. It was several seconds before he lifted up. He gently pulled the toy free and tossed it aside, his gaze eating her up. “You make me ache, little Lydia.” He brushed her damp hair from her face and kissed her cheek. “Let me stay the night.”

She stared up at him, tears filling her eyes. He was her world. Mistake or not, she couldn’t deny him. “Don’t go,” she whispered.

Dane left the bed, then lifted her into his arms, cradling her against his hard chest. “First I’m going to run you a hot bath, then I’m going to give you a massage. Later, if you’re a very good sub, I’ll show you what else I have in my briefcase.”

She shuddered as she imagined what else he could possibly have in store for them. Her imagination wasn’t that good though. “Dane?”

“Yeah, baby?”

“What about the handcuffs?”

He entered her bathroom and flipped on the light. “Soon enough, sub. For now, I like you at my mercy.”

The sensual tilt to his lips stole her heart. She couldn’t speak for the emotion clogging her throat. There was still so much unsettled, and she hadn’t completely forgiven him for deceiving her. Before she could stop herself, Lydia blurted out the one question that had niggled at her since she’d found out Apollo and Dane were one and the same. “Am I the naughty librarian you mentioned at Kinks? Is that what this is for you?”

Dane stopped dead and stared down at her, his gaze filled with red-hot anger. “You think I just want to fuck you? Is that what you’ve been imagining?”

She hadn’t wanted it put so crudely, but she needed to know the truth. Damn it, she deserved the truth. “What else could it be? I’ve worked for you for two years and you never even hinted at a relationship.”

Immediately he set her on her feet. Lydia wobbled and he clutched her shoulders in a gentle but demanding hold, steadying her instantly. “If I only wanted sex, I could get that at Kinks. There are plenty of women who would gladly kneel for me.”

An image of some faceless woman on her knees in front of Dane, loving his cock, slammed into her mind. Lydia’s palm itched to smack him. “Great,” she gritted out, “unlock these handcuffs and go get one of them then!”

“None of them could hold a candle to you,” he murmured. The raw need in his chocolate brown gaze tore at her defenses. “You’ve been a fire in my blood, Lydia. Having you beneath me has been a dream come true. The need to see you without the buttoned-up blouses and the pins in your hair has made it damned hard to keep my distance.” He took her face in his hands and smoothed his thumb over her bottom lip. Lydia couldn’t seem to catch her breath. “Do you think I threaten to break every woman’s door down? I haven’t felt this out of control my entire life.”

Her mother had tried so desperately to hide behind her own fears and look where that had gotten her. Divorced and alone, cut off from her only child.

Lydia smiled. “I’ve been half in love with you for a while, I think. I just didn’t want to admit it, not even to myself.”

He leaned down and covered her mouth with his in a demanding mating of lips. Lydia swayed forward, drifting on a sea of emotion she’d never imagined possible. He lifted a mere inch and whispered, “I want to know everything about you. I could spend weeks getting to know all your little quirks, every sweet little habit. You fascinate me, Lydia. You have from the moment you spilled coffee on yourself that first day.”

“Dane,” She moaned, emotion clogging her throat.

“This isn’t just sex, baby. I’m through with other women and I’ll be turning my share of Kinks over to Trent and Mac. This is the real thing for me and I’ll die if you kick me out now.”

Living a half-life no longer appealed to her, especially not now that she’d tasted heaven in Dane’s arms. A woman couldn’t go back after that, it simply wasn’t possible.

“Stay,” she demanded, “please.”

A muscle in his jaw jumped. “Be sure, Lydia. I’ll consider you mine after this. No more sharing either. Those days are history.”

She smiled up at him, beyond pleased to know he wasn’t the sharing type. That he was giving up the club made her heart soar. “I don’t want anyone else, Dane. Only you. It’s always been you.”

“God, baby, you blow my mind.”

Then something else occurred to her. “I do have one question.”

“Anything, Lydia. You can ask me anything.”

“The hood. Will you wear it again for me?”

His slow grin was one of pure male sin. “Mmm, you are such a sweet surprise.”

Turn Me On

“N
o, damn it, not again!” Roni shouted as her computer froze for the fourth time that morning. It was Saturday afternoon and her one day to get her paperwork done, and what happens? Her computer fizzles out. It’d been happening more frequently. She’d called the computer repair company out once already and the guy had acted as if it were somehow her fault. As if she wanted to waste both their time!

She picked up the phone and hit memory six. It was telling that she had the repair company on speed dial.

“J.C.’s Computer Repair, Lisa speaking. How may I help you?”

“Hi, Lisa, it’s Dr. Smart. I’m having that same problem where my monitor freezes. And, yes, I’ve tried rebooting, but it’s not doing any good.”

“Hi, Dr. Smart. Let me check who’s on call real quick.”

“Fine,” Roni said as she grabbed her empty mug and went to the break room for a refresher. As she poured her third cup of coffee, Lisa came back on the line.

“Someone will be out within the hour. Will that work?”

“I suppose it’ll have to work. Thanks, Lisa.”

They ended the call and she went back to her office and stared at her monitor, willing it to work. It was no use. She was stuck waiting for it to be fixed. Again! When her cell phone rang, Roni snatched it up, grateful for the distraction. She checked the number and smiled.

“Hey, Lydia, how’re things going with that hot lawyer of yours?” Roni had known Lydia since grade school, but it wasn’t until recently that Lydia had gotten serious about a man. She was happy for Lydia. She deserved to be cherished and Dane seemed perfect in the role of lover.

“He’s the reason I’m calling. He wants to invite you and Jeannette over for a barbeque next Saturday. Think you can make it?”

“Will it be your place or his?” Since Lydia and Dane had only just started dating there hadn’t been time to work out which apartment they’d be keeping and which they would be letting go after the lease was up.

“His. He wants to wow you guys, I think. Win you over.”

“After the stunt he pulled? He’s got a lot of wowing to do.”

“He’s apologized a million times. Really, it’s all good. Besides, I’m starting to think things happen for a reason.”

Roni smiled. It did her heart good to hear her repressed friend so blissfully content. “Heck, if you’re happy, I’m happy. He just better treat you right.”

“I’m quite happy. I’ll be happier if you came to the barbeque.”

“Sure, it sounds like fun.” Roni heard a knock on her front door and said, “I need to run. The computer repair guy is here. Call me later and let me know what to bring.”

“Wait, computer guy? It’s broken again?”

Roni gritted her teeth. “Unfortunately. If they don’t fix it this time, I’m finding someplace else to handle my computer problems.”

“No doubt.”

They said their good-byes and Roni slid her chair back and went out front to greet her visitor. The man on the other side of the glass door had her stopping in her tracks though. He was tall, over six feet, with midnight black hair cut a little too long by today’s standards. His black T-shirt stretched across a mouthwatering chest and tucked neatly into a pair of well-worn jeans. The bulge between a pair of powerful thighs turned her blood to molten lava.

“Damn, now that’s delicious,” Roni said in a low tone. As her gaze caught on his, she watched his lips kick up into an ornery grin. It was as if he’d heard her, and although Roni knew that was impossible, she still felt her cheeks heating in embarrassment.

She crossed the waiting room and unlocked the door. Pushing it open a few inches, she said, “J.C.’s Repair?”

He turned, giving her his back. In bold white letters were the words J.C.’S COMPUTER REPAIR. WE’LL HAVE YOUR HARD DRIVE PURRING IN NO TIME.

“I see,” she said, suddenly breathless. Purring hell, he’d already fried her circuits and she had yet to find out his name!

“I take it you’re closed today?” he said, noting the empty waiting area with a wave of his hand.

“Yeah, I usually do paperwork and finances on Saturdays. But my computer decided to freeze up instead. To be honest, this is the second time it’s happened this week. It’s getting extremely inconvenient.”

“And we certainly wouldn’t want you inconvenienced, Dr. Smart. Maybe you should point me to the problem child.”

Roni wanted to rail at him, but alienating the man before he had a chance to fix her computer didn’t seem smart. She held her tongue and escorted him to her office. Pointing to her flat-screen monitor, Roni said, “I’ve turned it off and back on three times this morning, but it’s not helping.”

He moved around her desk and sat in her chair. There was something intensely sexual about seeing the hard-bodied man at her desk. The image of him bending her over the sturdy mahogany as he pounded into her wet pussy flooded her mind. Roni shook the X-rated thought away and asked, “Would you like some coffee? It’s still fresh.”

“Sure, thanks,” he mumbled as he went to work.

A man of few words. Roni shrugged and left him to his geekiness. After pouring the last cup from the glass carafe into a clean mug, Roni brought it back to her office and placed it on the desk. “It’s black; will that do?”

“That’s fine,” he said as he continued pounding the keys.

Roni sat in one of the other chairs and crossed her legs, waiting for him to finish working his magic. Several minutes went by before he rubbed his chin and sat back in his seat. When his gaze moved away from the screen and traveled over her body, awakening her inner slut, Roni had to force herself to stay seated. Jumping the repairman was way too cliché. Right?

“Do you only use this computer for work, Dr. Smart?”

His question surprised her. “Uh, yes. I have a laptop I use for personal matters. The desktop is strictly for client records and to keep track of my business finances, that sort of thing. Why?”

He quirked a brow and tapped a few more keys, before saying, “So, you never go out to the Internet and download videos or images?”

She frowned. Maybe he was hard of hearing. “I just said it’s for business. Not pleasure.”

“Do you let anyone else use this computer?”

“My assistant has access, but what does that have to do with it freezing up?” Before he could answer, her anger got the better of her. “This has been happening constantly. A tech came out and fixed it and swore it wouldn’t happen again. To tell the truth I’m about ready to take my business elsewhere. I simply don’t have time for this type of distraction.”

“Porn.”

“What did you say?” Surely she hadn’t heard him right.

“Someone’s been downloading porn. That’s why your computer keeps freezing up. You’ve let your virus protection expire and as a result you’ve been hit with spyware. A lot of it.”

“Porn? B-but that’s impossible.”

He crooked his finger at her. “Come here. Let me show you something.”

Roni left the chair and moved around the side of the desk until she stood next to him, his eyes level with her breasts. A few buttons, a little leaning and she could offer him something besides coffee to sip on. The man wasn’t here to be mentally molested though.

She cleared her throat and growled, “Okay, I’m here.”

His grin wasn’t at all professional. “Yes, you are.”

She started to chastise him but he turned to her monitor and went back into work mode. “See this?” he pointed to a file she didn’t recognize.

She leaned forward, automatically inhaling his clean masculine scent. “What is that?”

He clicked it and her media player popped open and suddenly Roni was watching a video of a woman deep-throating a rather large, hard cock.

Roni gasped. “Oh my God! Turn it off! Turn it off!”

He clicked a button and the player closed. “By your expression I’m guessing it’s not you with the porn habit?”

“Of course not!” Roni was no prude, but she wasn’t in the habit of watching nasty videos at work either.

“Well, that’s just one of many. You have several of those on your hard drive. And those sites are notorious for spyware. You need to find out who’s using your computer and put a stop to it. So far it’s only been a nuisance, but it could lead to real problems, like a virus that’ll wipe out your entire hard drive.”

Roni stepped back and crossed her arms over her chest. “It’s only me and my assistant, Melissa, and I can’t believe she’d do that.” She shook her head as she thought of her shy assistant. “No, I won’t believe it. There has to be another explanation.”

“Maybe it’s not Melissa. Maybe it’s someone else. There is a way for you to find out, if you’re interested.”

“How?”

“I can install a motion-sensitive webcam. All you do is hit a few keys when you leave the office and you can catch the horny bugger in his tracks.”

Part of her didn’t want to know. It was way too creepy to think Melissa could be sitting at her desk getting off on dirty videos. Still, Roni knew she needed to put a stop to it. The idea of someone masturbating while sitting in her black leather chair made her queasy. “You can do this for me?”

“Sure, I can handle it. If you’d rather, I can give you some instructions and you can do it yourself. It’s not hard to set up.”

Roni went back to the chair across from the desk and sat down. The close proximity was beginning to overwhelm her senses. “I can turn on my computer and use a few of the programs. Beyond that, electronics boggle my mind. No, I’d rather you set it up.”

“No problem. I need to pick up a few things, but I can come back later today if you want. That way it’ll be in place by Monday. I can update your virus protection then as well.”
