Chapter One

Chase

I was with a whole bunch of women in my room. They were all either topless, naked, or clad in just their underwear. A couple of the girls were doing body shots off each other, and two girls were on each of my arms. I’m sure many men would dream of something like this, to have this many women who idolize and want you as bad as they wanted me. Sure, I was attractive with long, dark hair and green eyes that stared into a woman’s soul. I also had a great body, at least that’s what all the girls said. Apparently I was the hottest thing in their minds, and a couple of them went mad over me. Most guys would crave something like this, but, to me, this was hell. It was complete and utter hell.

There were many reasons why this was hell to me. First of all, I thought I wasn’t really that interesting. I mean I did have a few hit songs here and there and I was on tour. All these girls thought I was the next Leo DiCaprio or something. Which I totally wasn’t. Ever since I went on tour, I’d been feeling like this. I only partied because that’s what I knew how to do. I didn’t have skills like my brother or anyone else, so I continued to live the rock star life. Music was my passion, the only thing I knew how to do well. It kind of sucked, relying on one talent to get through life, but, hey…it did bring in lots of money.

Of course, the main problem for me was that these women were pretty pathetic. I knew they all wanted me because of my money and fame. Although it was kind of flattering, it got pretty old. Besides, these women weren’t really good for much else besides a blowjob and occasionally some good anal or a nice fuck. They were a good stress reliever, but they couldn’t actually get rid of the pain in my heart. Ever since she broke my heart, I hadn’t been the same. It really sucked, but what was I going to do?

It was all because of her… the one woman who broke my heart. What started out as a passionate night between the two of us turned into something more. Then her husband came along and ruined everything. I hated it, but I knew that I could never have her. I wanted her so fucking badly though…

Sometimes I masturbated to her, thinking about the fun that we had when I was home. I cried out her name, but none of my band mates knew who she was. They all thought she was just some silly groupie. That was far from the truth. She was the first woman I ever loved, the first woman to deny me, and the first to break my heart.

That brought me to today. I was at a party in a hotel suite with a bunch of bitches that were pissing me off. A couple of them clung to me the entire night. One of them had the gall to give me head earlier, which felt good, but was only a temporary fix. They were all drunk off their asses. Some of them were making out with my band mates and our entourage. There was a lot going on.

I knew that in one of the rooms the bassist was getting it on with some chick. I couldn’t understand why he didn’t just go back to his room, but whatever. I was ready to get the hell out of there and stop for the day. I was done with this crap. I preferred to have fun in the comfort of my own home where I didn’t have to listen to other people’s bullshit. I started to get up, but one of the dumb bitches started clinging to me like a baby koala.

“Why are you leaving, Chase?” she slurred. She was drunk off her ass and I wasn’t in the right mood. She might be fun to fuck, but that’s not what I was feeling tonight.

“I have to get up early tomorrow. I’m not feeling good,” I replied in a mock sympathetic voice. I didn’t really give a shit about any of these women. I needed to get out of here.

“Awww! Well, I hope you feel better!” she said loudly. I nodded and walked away, heading towards the door. I was almost out of here, and I was so ready to get out. That’s when the bathroom door opened and my life changed forever.

The most gorgeous woman in the world walked out.

That wasn’t an exaggeration either. She was beautiful. Not sexy or slutty like the rest of these women, but fucking beautiful. She had dark hair that went down her back, gorgeous green eyes, and the loveliest curves ever. Her dress poured over her butt and boosted her breasts, leaving a very small amount of cleavage. She was a classy woman, but she was also beautiful. She didn’t act out or take her clothes off to get attention. That caused me to want to get to know her right away. I was immediately entranced and knew I had to talk to her.

Lila

What the hell was I doing there? Just what the hell? I didn’t know why I was dragged along to this stupid party filled with nothing but a bunch of stupid girls who couldn’t keep their clothes on.

That’s what I thought the minute I got there. I only went because my dorm roommate got tickets to this local concert that was right next to campus. Apparently they were some popular band that just got back from Australia. I didn’t know who the hell they were, but I had never seen my friend go all fan girl like she did when she told me about these guys. She said they were hot too. It sounded like some douche party that I would hate so I denied her right away. My roommate had the perfect comeback.

“If you come with me tonight, I won’t bring over anyone for the next month,” she pleaded.

That immediately piqued my curiosity. I didn’t want to deal with other people though. I just wanted to be alone. I preferred to be that way, which was why I never had a serious boyfriend throughout college. While my roommate Natalie was getting fucked by guys on a regular basis, I was studying in my room. Sure, it was distracting at times, but I still made stellar grades. I was damn proud of myself. I was at the top of the class. The only thing I wanted was to graduate and move on with my life.

Why I was here, though, was still a mystery to me. The concert was fine. It wasn’t really my type of thing, but I tried to humor my friend. She continued to look at the men like they were gods or something, a thing to be idolized by women. I didn’t get it, but whatever. Afterwards, she dragged me to this party. It was stupid, to say the least. Everyone, including Natalie, was either naked or in some state of undress. I was the only one who hadn’t taken any clothes off. Sure, a couple of girls tried to get me to lose my dress. I refused them. That was so not my thing.

I had a drink, but it tasted like shit. Besides, I needed to stay sober in case I had to drive Natalie or any of her other little friends home. Without drinking, though, I could barely take it. That’s why I had to get out of there. I had to get to the bathroom fast. I went inside, closed the door, and locked it. I stayed in there for about five minutes, talking to one of my internet friends on Facebook about how shitty the party was.

However, some drunk girl yelling at the door rudely interrupted me. “Quit taking a shit in there, you gross fuck, and get out!”

I wanted to beat the shit out of her. She was so annoying and I wasn’t in the mood at all for this bullshit. I walked out, tried not to make eye contact, and started toward the door. I needed to get into the hall to get a little fresh air.

One of the band members stopped me. He wasn’t bad looking at all, but I was on my guard. He had the typical bad boy attitude that seemed to follow rock bands and attract these slutty girls. I didn’t know how much of a douche he really was, but my trust for that type was very low. After a minute, he spoke. I was a little curious.

Chase

This woman was gorgeous. I couldn’t stop looking at her beautiful green eyes. She was perfect. I felt stupid and didn’t know what to say. She gave me a weird look.

After a second, I cleared my throat and tried to sound normal for a change. “Hey, there. Seems you’re not into the party either.”

“Yeah. Not my thing. I’m heading out,” she replied. She tried to walk away, but I couldn’t let her go. Her beautiful green eyes were hypnotic. I felt like they put me under a spell.

“Same here. What’s your name?” I innocently asked. She still acted uncomfortable around me. She looked like the kind of woman who hated the idea of being at this type of thing.

“I’m Lila. I’m a senior at the University of Chicago. Who…? “

Before she finished the question, a voice called out to us. I turned and there was another girl rocking an attitude and wearing nothing but a bra and panties.

Lila

I actually wanted to talk more to this guy, find out about him. I had a feeling that he wasn’t like the others, but I really didn’t know what to think about him. He had a fuck-the-system vibe and looked like he belonged in this scene. I was kind of confused. Just as I was about to finish my sentence, I got cut off by Natalie…as fucking usual.

“Hey, Lila, we’re going,” she rudely said. She seemed a tiny bit drunk, but I didn’t know for sure. I know something bad must have happened in there, because she was living it up earlier. Now, she looked like her cat was killed or something.

“What? Why?” Talking to this guy a little more started to seem less likely.

“I have to get the hell out of here. These dumb bitches are pissing me off. Let’s go,” she gruffly replied.

I wanted to retort back that I was her ride and I got to decide when we left. She grabbed my arm and started to drag me. I gave the mysterious man an
I’m sorry
look. I hated getting cut off, but what could I do about it? Natalie wasn’t exactly sober enough and didn’t appear in the mood for rational discussion.

Chase

I saw Lila run off with that chick. I have never wanted to hit a woman so hard in my life before now. I was so annoyed. I didn’t even get a fucking number. That pissed me off more than anything.

“God damn it,” I muttered.

I walked over to the elevator and stabbed the button for a floor down. I thought that maybe I could catch them, but the elevator was already gone by the time I got there. I decided to just go back up to my room and hang out there for the rest of the night. I was so done with people and their bullshit right now.

After I said bye to my band mates, I went to my room and sat on the bed. I knew that I had to see her again, but I didn’t know how. After I thought about it for a second, I remembered her name…Lila. I was in Chicago, but that didn’t really narrow it down a whole lot. I mean, fuck, there were about 6 million people in this damn area, not to mention the suburbs and other surrounding areas. Illinois was pretty big, so I couldn’t just go out on the street and look for her.

That’s when it hit me. I realized she had given me a piece of information. She went to the University of Chicago, which was right next to the venue where we’d just played.

It looked like Lila would be getting a little visit from me tomorrow.

Lila

The next morning, I woke up early to get ready for my first class. It wasn’t for a few hours, but I had to study. I had a couple of big tests coming up and I didn’t want to piss off my Dad or anything.

After getting my bag and walking across the street to the campus, I saw something funny. All around me, women were going crazy and talking in excited voices. I know some of them got excited over the smallest crap, but something seemed a bit different today. As I continued to walk, I heard a familiar name…Chase. I wondered where the hell I had heard that name. I didn’t have any friends named Chase, so that wasn’t it. I continued in hopes that the fresh air would jog my memory. Of course, that didn’t happen. When I got to the library, I nearly dropped my bags.

“Lila!” I heard a male shout.

He was sitting there, waiting for me. The man from the night before.

Chapter Two

Chase

I hated having to wait around for her. I wasn’t really the type to do something like that, but for this chick, I was willing to go to a different level to get to know her. She was different, almost like my former lover, but a whole lot better. She seemed more stable even though she had to be younger.

Of course, the minute I sat down, I was attacked by all the women who were thirsty for fame. They all clamored over me and begged for my attention. I had a couple of my bodyguards shoo them away. A couple of the campus security guys asked what was going on. I played it cool and said that I was looking for a girl who left something at my concert last night. I fished out a scarf that a groupie had left me a while back. They believed me and left it at that. Unfortunately, the women continued to come.

God damn, they’re relentless.

Finally, Lila showed up. When she saw me, I could tell that she was shocked. In a way, it was kind of cute. Her gaze darted between the two big bodyguards and then those vibrant green eyes widened and fell on me. I loved to make first impressions like that. I was a little shocked when she turned and fled. I immediately got up and followed her.
Oh hell no…you are so not getting away.
I was now desperate to get her attention and find out why she didn’t crave being in a rock star’s shadow.
