“And no lap dances.”
“Not a problem.”
“Well, until that happens,” Ryan said in an emphatic voice, interrupting their private conversation, “I’m still the winner. So pay up, Martinez.”
With a grunt of disgust Martinez pulled out his wallet and tossed two hundred dollars on the table. “Get the rest from Cole,” he said. “He still owes me a C note for last week’s golf game.”
Something that looked like a pout crossed Cole’s lips, and he tossed a hundred into the pile. “I always pay my bets.”
Brad bit back the smile. A grumpy Cole was still fucking hilarious. Every week the five men played a round of golf. Every week bets were made. And every week Cole lost.
It never got old.
“Don’t worry, man,” Brad said, leaning in to rub his nose along the stubble of Cole’s cheek. “I love you
despite
the fact your golf game sucks.”
Martinez groaned. “Not in front of the kids, dumbass.” He sighed and turned to Ryan and Danny. “We might as well pay Cole that eight hundred bucks now.”
