“You don’t need to thank me for that, though I appreciate that you feel that way.” Deacon reached out, lifting the tag to Kade’s collar. “You know, when I put this on you, I thought that was the best day of our lives, but I was wrong.”

Kade jerked, turning to scowl at his lover and Dom. “What!”

“It was only the real beginning of things for us,” he continued as if Kade hadn’t yelled. “Why don’t we get ready to go, love? We have a full day, and while I don’t mind sharing with Sam and Jake occasionally in the playroom, you know I like keeping your body for only me.”

He stared at Deacon as he slipped out of bed, nonplused. “Um….” Deacon wanted him to trust him, and he did. Unquestionably. “What will I need to wear, Sir?”

“Such a sweet boy. I already set out everything you need for today. It’s on the table in your roll-in closet.”

Kade loved that term and smiled. His large walk-in style closet was set up completely for him. The bars were dropped down, the dresser on one wall was low and long, and the area for his shoes was raised, all to make things easier for him. Deacon had also put in a table for him to lay things out for dressing, something his Sir took advantage of often, especially if they were going to Club Fierce or another Dom’s home to visit.

Rolling into his closet half an hour later, clean and adorned in nothing but his cage, collar, and bracelet, he took in what lay on the table. The black silk Thai wrap pants he’d worn for his collaring sat next to a T-shirt of the same material. No underwear. “Huh.” Shrugging, Kade slipped on each item carefully, loving how the material felt against his skin.

Once dressed, Kade reentered the bedroom and looked around for Deacon. A moment later, Deacon stepped out of his walk-in closet in black suit pants, a black french-cuff shirt with silver collar and cuffs, a silver tie, and black jacket. Kade’s cock cage key dangled from the edge of the lapel, very reminiscent of the attire Deacon had worn for the collaring the previous year.

“Ready, boy?” Deacon asked, smiling down at Kade.

Kade returned the smile as he reached up and ran one finger over the key Deacon so prominently displayed. “You have given me so much from the very first time we met; hope, joy, and love. The night you accepted this is the first time I really began to feel safe.” He pulled back and touched his collar. “And when you gave me this, you became my sanctuary. Thank you, and I love you, Sir.”

“Thank you for giving me your heart and submission, boy.” Deacon brushed his lips across Kade’s before he stepped back. “You’re a true treasure. Now, come on. I hear Sam pulling up the drive.”

“I’m ready for whatever you want to do, wherever you wish to go.” That said, he turned and followed his lover out the door, open to whatever their future held.
