Chapter 11

Callie

I wake up and stretch. The light is streaming through my bedroom window. It’s still early, but once again I have the need to go. Then I remember last night. Oh crap! Maybe it was all a dream. A great dream, well, parts were great. Others not so much.

I get out of bed and grab my standard cut offs and tank top. Then I find me a cute bra and panty set and go to get my morning ritual over with. It’s not long before I am combing through my short hair. Today this red crap comes out. I can’t stand to look at it anymore. At least that’s one thing I can take care of.

I am hoping Dra is already gone. Surely he is, then I hear the light tap on my bedroom door. Might as well get this over with.

“Come in.”

“Good morning, babe. Came in to see if you might need my services this morning. Even if I do still have blue balls from last night.” Dra makes his way over to me and tries to give me a hug. I go completely stiff. He is way too sure of himself.

“Dra, I can’t do this. I’m married and I won’t be that woman. I should have stopped last night. I don’t know what came over me.” I want Dra to know I will not do this before I am divorced or whatever.

“Callie, I understand that. I know you are determined and I respect that, but Callie, I do not regret last night. I will never regret it. I will wait on you, but you will be mine. Get used to it. Last night sealed it when I watched you fall apart. Then when I tasted you, there will be no one else but you for me. That also means me for you. It’s happening.” Dra kisses the top of my head but then lets me go. That’s good, I need distance. Lots of distance.

I make my way around him and out to the kitchen. Hawser and Krill are at the table eating. I notice oatmeal on the stove and I go over to get some. Gram Betsy must have made it special because everyone else is eating bacon and eggs. She is the best. I pour milk and a little honey over the top and go to sit next to Krill. Dra has come in the room and takes hold of my shoulders, before I can sit, and moves me over to a chair that I’m guessing is his. I look at Dra and he is just grinning. Then I chance a look at Hawser and Krill and they have matching grins on their faces. Whatever, I’m hungry so I am just going to eat and get out of here for the day.

“Betsy is looking over the motel right now and lining out her workers. Today is her town day, so unless you want to go with her, she will be scarce today.” Hawser tell me. Then he looks to Dra. “You going to be around the club house today? We need to repair that ceiling. Could use a hand.”

“I’ll be there. Scout should be fixing it. He’s the one who shot holes in it.” Dra doesn’t seem amused about doing roofing work.

“It would take him too long. We need to get it done before it rains. Don’t worry, he’ll be there and he’ll be paying. Every time that asshole gets drunk on whiskey he shoots up something.” Hawser sounds pissed. I wouldn’t want to be Scout. He’s going to have a bad day.

“Good morning, dear.” Gram Betsy greets me when she comes in the back door. “I’m going to the salon today. Would you like to go? I have all kinds of errands to run today. It would get you out of the house and I can show you around town. We’ll take lunch by to the boys and you can see the club.”

“Yes ma’am, I would like to go. I need to get my normal hair color back. Thank you.” I finish up my oatmeal and take my bowl and put it in the dishwasher and start tidying up the kitchen.

“Woman, come sit with me while I eat.” Dra tells me and the other three people in the room are all smiles.

I go and sit back down next to Dra. His eyes never leave me. When he finishes and I see Hawser and Krill have finished, I notice how quiet the room has gotten and it is uncomfortable. I get up to clear the table but Dra grabs my hand and I sit back down.

“Do you two have something to let us in on?” Hawser ask. I feel the need to slink out of the kitchen.

“She’s mine. End of story.” Dra says it so matter of fact.

“No. I belong to no one. I am married to someone else, so I can’t be yours. End of story.” I am getting pissed and I don’t care who knows. I am tired of men telling me what to do, so I get up and start picking up dishes to put in to wash.

“Technicality. We will remedy that. I am claiming you. Dad it needs to go to vote today if possible. The sooner the better. Claiming trumps marriage in our club. Understand this, Callie. It’s happening. Adapt.” Dra has now pushed my pissed to infuriated. No bully of a biker is pushing me around.

“Are you sure Dra? Once it’s voted on it’s done. You don’t want to give Callie time to adjust and take care of her business. There’s going to be trouble with Devil. Are you ready for that?” Hawser is totally ignoring me. These men are going to push me too far.

“Hell dad, we haven’t had a good fight in a while. I like Callie. If Dra don’t claim her, I might.” Krill puts his two cents in.

“Shut up Krill and don’t look at my woman that way. I’m sure Dad. Done deal. She’s mine.” Dra just won’t listen.

“Oh dear, I’m so happy. One of my boys finally found his life partner.” Gram Betsy pats my hand.

“Gram Betsy I would love to go with you. Can we leave soon?” I have to get out of here before I kill someone. “Dra, it’s not happening, so you deal with it.”

“Oh honey, there’s no use in arguing with them. My Caroline did the same thing. In fact, all my family did, but when Hawser’s mind was set, it was set and it happened. Just go with the flow. It’s easier.” Gram Betsy is sweet but she doesn’t know my determination.

Chapter 12

     Devil

It’s seems like forever since I have seen Callie. My world is spinning out of control without her. Laying in this motel bed is not helping. All I can do is think about her. The way her face lights up when she’s happy or the sparks in those gorgeous blue eyes when she’s about to go off about something. That woman is full of spunk.

“Son, you need to get up. Chief is on the go again. Our man just called, so we need to get moving. You were right, Ty met back up with Chief again and he’s in that Trans Am. They’re going to be meeting up with Callie somewhere and we can’t afford to lose them. They’re being careful, so we have to be smart.” Dad is ready to get out of the doghouse with my mom, so he is anxious to get this over with.

“We aren’t going to lose them. We’ve come too far to not get what we want now. Callie is my woman and she is carrying my child. Do you really think I am going to let Chief get away from me?” I will follow Chief into hell to get my Callie back.

“You know Kylar, I think you would. I think you really love that girl and that is the only reason I am still backing you. I don’t think you would be the same if you lose her. That gives her a lot of power over you. Are you ready for that? That’s a big change for you. Do you know what you are going to say to her to make her understand why you did what you did? How you deceived her? Because I don’t think she is going to be too forgiving.” Dad is always thinking ahead, but I don’t really know what to say to Callie.

“Dad, I really don’t know, but I know I don’t want to live without her. She’s become important to me and I am not letting her walk away with my child. She can be as mad as she wants, but she will come home with me. She’ll just have to learn to live with it.” There is no other option. She is mine. My child is mine. We will be a family.

“Let’s hit the road then. We need to follow them so we can get this done and I can get back home to my own bed. Just don’t underestimate Chief, he’s proven he will do anything for Callie.” Dad is right, but I won’t be stopped by anyone.

“I still have that ace up my sleeve. Chief will do what it takes to protect Callie, so he will see it my way.” We all know Chief and his club still have that secret that Callie is the one to kill Chaz. I will use that to my advantage if I have to.

“Ok. Let’s kick up some dust.” Another day on the road is what I need to clear my head.

Chapter 13

Callie

We are walking into the front door of the clubhouse just a little late. It took a little extra time since I had my hair done, too. I like my natural color much better. Not much for red hair.

We stopped and got takeout from the restaurant because we were late. The guys are still on the roof and we come inside to set the food out and get drinks ready for when they decide to break.

The inside of the clubhouse is pretty much the same as ours, but theirs is a little bigger and has two stripper poles instead of one. The pool tables take up a little extra room. I follow Gram Betsy farther into the front room to the tables we put the food out on. That’s when I notice the club girls have come into the room by the bar. They are the typical club girls. Big boobs, long hair and hardly any clothes on with too much makeup. I am not paying much attention to them. The girls in my dad’s club are all nice and we get along just fine. Who am I to judge anyone? Whatever anyone wants to do with their lives is just that, their business and none of mine. Only difference is dad keeps the girls out of the club until night. The days are for business and family, but at night it’s a free for all. Of course, sometimes there have been exceptions. These girls are scoping me out though, and I can’t say I am really amused by it. Then one of them moves towards where we are. Gram Betsy does not seem to like it.

“What do you want Lottie? This is for the boys when they come down for lunch.” First time I have heard Gram Betsy have an attitude with someone.

“Betsy, we have the men covered with lunch. You two can leave. We will handle them just fine. We’ll take care of all their needs.” I don’t know who this Lottie is, but she just disrespected Gram Betsy and that just won’t fly with me.

“I believe Gram Betsy just told you we had their lunch and I don’t think a club girl should be disrespecting anyone. So go back to your corner and leave us the hell alone.” Yes, I’m being a bitch, but I can’t stand when someone tries to disrespect like that and I’m sure Hawser wouldn’t like it either.

“Who the hell are you to be telling me anything? You don’t belong here and you need to get the hell out because I am Dra’s woman, and he won’t like you disrespecting me in his club.” Well. So Dra has a woman. Or someone who wants to be his woman. I doubt very seriously if she is his woman that he would let her disrespect his Gram. So much for him being honest with me. Men are all alike. Wouldn’t know honesty if it bit them on the ass. “This old woman is only in the way here. Just because Hawser used to be married to her daughter doesn’t give her the right to come in here and try to take over. If it wasn’t for her, Zandalynn would have her man here more often.” That’s it. This bitch has gone too far.

I close the space between me and Lottie and I grab her by the throat and I pick her up and slam her down on the empty table next to us. I tighten my hand around her throat and cut her air off. She’s trying to fight my hand but when I get a grip I’m not letting go. The next girl with short frizzy hair comes around the bar and starts towards me, when she is close I drag Lottie across the table and throw her on the floor. She lays there grasping for air. I twirl around before the girl has a chance to get to me and give her a back kick in the mouth.

“What the hell is going on in my club house?” Dra and Krill are over to us before I can get another hit on either of the girls, but then it dawns on me what I just did. Oh crap. I shouldn’t be fighting, I’m pregnant. I just lost it and didn’t think. What am I doing?

“Someone answer me.” Hawser is pissed. Now I get to see the President side of him.

“Lottie was just trying to tell Betsy we had your lunch ready.” The red haired girl was telling Hawser. That’s it. Enough is enough.

“I call bullshit on that. Lottie was disrespecting Gram Betsy and I don’t put up with crap like that. She actually said she was your woman Dra, and if it wasn’t for Gram Betsy, Zandalynn would have Hawser here more. This has been all shits and giggles. Gram Betsy if you could take me back to your place now, I would appreciate it. These women have already made me cuss and forget myself. If this is how this club is run, I need to leave. No one disrespects someone I love and gets away with it.” I see all the club members just staring at me, but all I can do is glare at Dra. When am I ever going to learn?

“Sweetheart, are you ok? I’ll take you right home.” Grams Betsy is hurt and it’s written all over her face. I could kill these bitches. I’m not real happy with this club right now. “Hawser, I never meant to be a burden to you and my boys. I was just trying to help. I’m a grown woman and I can take care of myself, so don’t burden yourself with me anymore.” This poor sweet woman is trying not to cry. I better get myself out of here before I kill someone.

“Lottie is not my woman. She has sucked my cock and I have fucked her a few times, but she is just a club girl. She is not mine. Callie you are mine and there will be no one else for me. End of story.” Dra comes to stand beside me. “Are you ok? So you can fight, too. You just keep amazing me.”

“Dra I have been waiting for you to make me your ol’ lady. Who is this bitch anyway? She’s just a little girl. You know I always take care of you and I have plans for us.” Lottie is whining and it is getting on my nerves.

“Well, this little girl just kicked your ass.” I know I need to keep my mouth shut but it just isn’t cooperating.

“Enough! This is my damn club and no one disrespects Betsy. She’s family. Lottie and Zandalynn get your shit and get out. I hear another word from either of you it will be your last. Everyone is on notice these two are not allowed back in here or around us. Did everyone hear that? Betsy, I am so sorry. You are not a burden to us. You do so much for us, and you keep us in line. Carolyn would come back and haunt me if she thought I let anyone disrespect you.” Hawser seems sincere. Finally.

“We don’t need this shit anyway.” The one that must be Zandalynn says. Then she looks straight at me with hate in her eyes. “This isn’t over with us. No one replaces us.”

“Bitch, I’m not getting on my knees for ten men in one night, so I’m not replacing you, but anytime you want to make good on that threat you know where I am.” Dra grabs a hold of my arm and Krill steps between us.

“Little sister, we will take up your slack until you spit that baby out. Dra you have your hands full. She is a hot head just like you. This is going to be so much fun.” Krill grabs Lottie and then he grabs Zandalynn with the other hand and pushes them down the hall. “Bitches need to know their place.”

I walk over to Gram Betsy and take her in a tight hug. She has come to mean a lot to me in such a short time. I love her just like I did my Grandma. It’s going to be so hard to leave her.

“Callie, I appreciate you taking up for Betsy like that, but damn girl you need to calm down. Just come to one of us next time. Your dad will not be happy if he gets here and you are hurt. You know how it works.” He’s right. I know how a club runs.

“I’m sorry for causing such a commotion in your club, but I don’t like bullies of any kind.” That should smooth it out a little. It’s not an excuse, but a reason.

“Callie, you were made for me. By the way you were voted in. You’re mine.” Dra has that damn grin on his face again. He lifts me in his arms and spins me around. Then I’m back on my feet just as fast.

“Does everyone want to eat now? The food is probably cold. Do you want me to warm it?” Gram Betsy is trying to change the subject again. It’s better to ignore it than fight. I’m tired now, so we can fight tomorrow.

“Sit down Gram. The food is not that cold. It’ll be fine.” Dra lets his Gram know we just need to eat.
