“You’re coming home with us?” Claire practically shouted.

I nodded, grinning. “Where else would we raise our cub?”

A collective cheer went up as more tears were shed. Finally, I stepped back and waved my arms. “Okay, that’s enough. We have a premiere to get to. Who’s ready to meet the A-listers of Hollywood?”

Claire’s hand shot in the air as she bounced in excitement.

“Whoa, there, little mama,” Cyrus said, placing a hand on the small of her back. “We don’t want to jiggle anything loose before we get back home.”

She laughed, said something to the nanny they’d brought along to watch the cubs, and then led her husband out to the waiting limo. Chase and Katrina followed, leaving just me and Cole.

I glanced around at the beautiful furniture and eyed my nieces. “This will be our life in five months.”

He picked up Tegan, Claire’s cub, and handed her to me, then picked up Quinn, Katrina’s cub. He stood next to me stroking Quinn’s ears. “I think in two years, this is exactly what I want our life to look like.”

I cuddled Tegan close to my face and gave him a curious look. “You mean...two? You want a second one right away?”

He nodded. “Then a third. And maybe a fourth. As many as you want to give me, because princess, I’m all in.”

I laughed as Tegan squirmed out of my hold. We placed both cubs back on the floor, waved to the nanny, and then made our way to the front door.

But just before we joined the others, I placed my hand on his arm, stopping him. “Six. That’s my number.”

His eyebrows rose in mild surprise. “Six cubs?”

“Yes. I always wanted a big family. Does that scare you?”

A slow smile claimed his lips as he shook his head. “Hell no. In fact, I can’t wait to get started.” He glanced at his watch. “Think we have time for a practice session?”

I shook my head, love and happiness bubbling up from the depths of my soul.

“Later tonight, love. Tonight you’ll get all the practice you want.”

“Promise?” He wrapped his arms around me and pulled me in tight, showing me exactly how ready he was.

I trailed my hand over his jawline and pressed a slow, lingering kiss to his lips, and whispered, “Always.”
