“I still love you.” He wrapped her in his embrace. “We could keep a running tally of who saved who, but personally I’m hoping we live to a ripe old age together with no more near-death experiences. In the past month I’ve had enough excitement to last me a lifetime.”

“Live together?”

His grin broadened. “That’s my roundabout way of asking you to marry me, Jen Davis. Will you?”

She nuzzled closer, conscious of his injured shoulder. “Yes! Yes! I can’t think of anything more perfect than marrying the man I love.”

“It’s about time you said it.” He lowered his mouth and claimed hers in a deep kiss that sealed their future.

Dear Reader,

I had so much fun with this book. Being a part of a group of authors who write connecting stories is a challenge—a big puzzle that I need to solve. I love working puzzles, and that’s what appeals to me when I write a continuity story. There is a lot of work involved, making sure the books are linked seamlessly. I hope you enjoyed the third installment in this Love Inspired Suspense continuity series.

I love hearing from readers. You can contact me at [email protected] or at P.O. Box 2074, Tulsa, OK 74101. You can also learn more about my books at www.margaretdaley.com. I have a quarterly newsletter that you can sign up for on my Web site or you can enter my monthly drawings by signing my guest book on the Web site.

Best wishes,

QUESTIONS FOR DISCUSSION
  1. Trust is important in a relationship. Austin was scared to trust after what his deceased wife did. Hannah didn’t know who to trust. Has anyone caused you to distrust him/her? Why? How did you settle it?
  2. Who is your favorite character? Why?
  3. Have you ever been really scared? How did you deal with it?
  4. Hannah didn’t think the Lord answered her prayers. Have you ever thought that? What did you do?
  5. What is your favorite scene? Why?
  6. What would you have done if you had been in Hannah’s shoes and witnessed a murder?
  7. Hannah didn’t have a lot of hope for having a family, so while she was at the ranch, she visualized Austin, Caroline and Misty as her family, if only for a short time. How important is your family to you? What are some special things you do with your family?
  8. Hannah testified in a trial to put a killer in prison. That took courage. What have you done that required courage? Did any Scriptures help you through it? What are they?
  9. Misty nearly died in a car wreck. This was hard for
Austin to handle. When life seems impossible, what do you do? Who do you turn to for help?
  10. Hannah fell in love when she tried not to because she knew there wasn’t a future for her and Austin. Have you ever done something against your better judgment? How did it turn out?
  11. What does “God is my refuge and strength” mean to you?
  12. Have you ever kept a secret that if it came out it would harm either you or someone else? Did it come out? What happened?
  13. Why did Hannah’s faith waver since she was in the Witness Protection Program? What could she have done differently?
  14. Hannah enjoyed living in the small Montana town, while Austin’s wife had longed for the city. Which do you prefer, city or country? Why?
  15. Dealing with an injured child is a difficult situation for a parent to go through. How would you have responded if you were Austin?
