As much as she wanted to touch every inch of him, this contact, this intimacy was what she needed.

Crimson looked back to Sloan’s face to see him watching her with a serious look on his face. She couldn’t move when she saw that look. They were locked together and unmoving for what felt like forever.

It felt like the most natural thing in the world until Sloan obviously couldn’t take it anymore. He brought a smile to her face when he squeezed her hands in his and thrust his hips up, silently telling her to move.

Never letting go of his hands, she started rocking backward and forward on his cock. With every movement, she could feel her climax build. He was buried so deep inside her, and with the rocking motion, her clit rubbed against the hair at the base of his shaft. She couldn’t breathe. It was too intense. She could see she wasn’t the only one affected. The strain on Sloan’s face spoke volumes. He was hanging on by a thread, but she kept up the torturously slow pace, stretching the moment out for both of them.

It seemed like hours later, after being on the edge of orgasm for so long, she fell off into the abyss of the most intense climax of her life. It was so powerful that when she wanted to scream, nothing came out. She squeezed his hands so hard she was surprised she didn’t break something.

She was too lost in the sensation, to Sloan.

Time had lost all meaning, life had lost all meaning. The only thing that mattered was the woman above him. The look of pure ecstasy on her face after what felt like a lifetime of painful pleasure, the feel of her slick walls contracting and convulsing against his cock sent Sloan straight over the edge of oblivion with her.

She collapsed on top of his chest, both exhausted and covered in sweat just trying to catch their breaths.

Neither of them spoke for a long time. What is someone supposed to say after something that felt so profound, “thanks”?

Without a word, he adjusted their position so he could pull out his spent cock, only then realizing they hadn’t used a condom. He moved them toward the edge of the bed. He would have liked to carry her, but he just felt too weak, so he held out his hand to her. When she looked into his eyes and held his hand, he felt like he’d conquered the world.

He stood and pulled her up with him and walked to the bathroom. When they entered, he turned on the shower before turning to embrace his woman. They just stood there holding each other as the water warmed up. After a few minutes, he tested the water without breaking contact and then stepped under the spray with Crimson close behind him.

They soaped each other up and rinsed each other off, just enjoying touching and being touched by each other. Afterwards, they dried each other off and walked back to the bedroom. They quickly changed the sweat-soaked sheets on the bed before climbing in. Sloan spooned behind Crimson and pulled her back tight against his chest.

He was the first to speak. “So...that was nice.” There was silence for a second before they both burst into peals of laughter at the biggest understatement either of them had ever heard.

When they both calmed down, he grew serious when he told her, “We didn’t use a condom.” The tone of his voice expressed concern about her possible reaction.

“I don’t care.” She was too exhausted by everything that had happened to think rationally, he supposed. They’d talk about it again later. Until then, Sloan held on to the woman in front of him with dear life as he heard her breathing even out indicating she was asleep. He continued to lie in bed and think about all that had happened. He came to the conclusion that he was going to help her free her sister, fight the Cyclopes, and find the traitor, and then he was going to fight her.

That was his final thought before he drifted off to sleep next to his Amazon warrior. He had to fight her to fulfill the Amazon code and prove he loved her.

Chapter 12

Standing in front of her tribe, she’d never felt so nervous. She just hoped their plan worked. Crimson stood onstage, Sloan by her side, in the garden court of the estate where all the important and formal meetings took place.

The court was a circular stone twenty meters in diameter in the middle of the woodland of the estate. It was surrounded by beautiful plants and wildlife. How Crimson wished she could go for a run instead of dealing with the fate of her sister and tribe.

Crimson was in the center of the garden court on the raised platform where she could easily see and be seen by the people of her tribe.

Everyone was in mandatory attendance for Annika’s judgment.

“Bring forward the accused,” she stated in a loud and clear voice so everyone could hear her. She was nervous but refused to show it.

Her sister was brought forward as the tribe parted to allow Annika and her escorts through the crowd to stand before her.

“Annika Acker, a trusted member of this tribe and my loving sister has been accused of being a traitor to our people by the surviving Cyclops from yesterday’s battle. We are here to pass judgment on her and decide her fate.” She paused to look around at the people she considered her family, not wanting to believe any of them could betray their people.

“As leader of this tribe I am obligated to lead this trial. I cannot do that.” There were gasps and whispers amongst the gathering. “Annika is my sister by blood. I do not feel I can be impartial in this case. Therefore, I would like to ask one of the elders of the tribe to oversee the judgment process. Are there any objections?” The last was said to give the elders the opportunity to refuse. However, she was not prepared for what she heard.

“Are you fucking kidding me?” It was shouted from an all-too-familiar voice.

“What is it you’re having a hard time understanding, Delila?” Crimson could hardly contain her sarcasm and disdain.

“Where do you want me to start? What kind of leader are you?” Delila made her way through the crowd, pushing and shoving her way to the front. “How can you stand up there, next to a mortal man who has no business being at an Amazon judgment, and refuse your responsibilities as our so-called leader?” She turned to the gathering and continued her little rant. Sloan stepped up beside Crimson and rested a reassuring hand at her lower back.

“The leader of this tribe needs to be strong in any and all circumstances, not hand the difficult choices to others. She is weak and has shown poor judgment in her recent actions. She stands with a human at her side. If she takes him as her life partner, the whole tribe will be disgraced, we cannot let this happen,” Delila insisted to the entire tribe.

Crimson was furious. She knew Delila was trouble, but what she was accusing her of was unjustified. She was not only questioning her decision but her leadership. Crimson could sense the tension in Sloan. She knew he was just as infuriated as she was. All she wanted to do was beat some sense into the little Amazon, but she had to show restraint and give a reasoned answer to the objection.

With all the calm Crimson could manage, she spoke to Delila, making sure the whole tribe could hear.

“This gathering is about the trial and judgment of my blood sister. I will answer your objections to this, but as for your objection to my leadership, we shall deal with that later.” Looking to her tribe, she addressed Delila’s objection. “Delila sees my decision to have an elder preside over the trial as weakness and poor judgment. I see it as the only fair way for this trial to proceed. I do not wish to be accused of favoritism if and when my sister is freed. Could anyone here judge their loved ones without prejudice?” Crimson paused to allow the tribe to think about what she had said. “As for my being weak? I do not see putting the life of my sister in the hands of another as weak. I have faith that the elder to accept this responsibility will see justice is done, and I will abide by whatever ruling they give.”

Looking toward Delila once again, she asked, “Could you so easily pass judgment over your sisters that could lead to their deaths?”

Without hesitation Delila responded with a definite
“yes.”

Gasps sounded throughout the tribe. Crimson looked to Vicki and Louise to see shocked, pained expressions on their faces.

Crimson turned back to Delila with sadness and pity in her eyes. “Where is your loyalty and love for your sisters?”

“My loyalty is to the strength and security of my people.”

“Strength is not just physical, Delila. It is our bond as a tribe, as a family, that makes us strong. It is respect and understanding that builds those bonds. Accepting that my love for my sister may impair my judgment may be a weakness, but a good leader can recognize their weaknesses and do what’s best for the tribe no matter what. No one is without weakness, Delila, not even you.”

“Amazons were not born weak, we have become weak. Allowing men in our tribe, falling for them, letting the mortal world influence our own. Why must we protect them, risk our lives for them, die for them? Amazon women were perfect once, and one day, we will be again.”

Crimson and Delila just stared at each other while the tribe muttered amongst themselves. It wasn’t until they heard someone shout “intruder” that they turned away.

She knew what was coming, but the tribe didn’t, so they took a defensive stance. The strongest warriors surrounded the outer edges of the court, and the others huddled toward the center near the raised platform.

Crimson and Sloan jumped down from the stage and made their way through the crowd to the outer edge. When they neared the edge, Sloan grabbed her hand and gave a reassuring squeeze, and she turned her head to smile up at him.

Once at the front line of her warriors, she faced them, raised both arms in the air, and gave the order. “Hold. Do not fire.”

Some looked at her with confusion. They didn’t know that who was approaching wasn’t a threat, or at least she hoped they weren’t.

She turned to face the surrounding woods. Sloan was once again by her side showing her support. Crimson then gave a slight nod to the unseen intruder in the woods.

* * * *

Sloan was so out of his depth. He didn’t understand all the Amazon politics that seemed to be discussed before the call for an intruder went up, but he trusted that Crimson knew what she was doing.

When they woke up this morning, they had spoken about strategies and tactics of how to deal with this whole situation, get Annika out of their cells, find the traitor, and end the war with the Cyclopes before it truly began.

They had worked together to come up with this plan and spent the day setting everything up, it was like setting up for an operation while on tour. He knew and understood how to manage that, but this gathering was such an unknown to him. All he could do was show Crimson support as she led her tribe and tried to free her sister.

The one thing he did know was that Delila was a first-class bitch.

He stood at Crimson’s side as they and the rest of the tribe watched as Cyclopes surrounded them.

He heard gasps from the Amazons behind them, but they did as ordered. To him, that showed their trust in their leader. Pride in his woman filled him when he truly sensed the loyalty and respect Crimson had from her people.

The Cyclopes kept at least a ten-foot distance between themselves and the Amazons, ready to head for cover if things went wrong. The leader of the Cyclopes stepped up in front of Crimson. Sloan was scared for her safety, but he refused to show any weakness in front of the tribe or the Cyclopes.

“Will an elder willing to take on the responsibility of this trial please step forward,” Crimson announced without looking away from the Cyclopes before her.

A beautiful, tall, blonde woman stepped forward from behind the front line of warriors. There was no trace of fear or doubt in her step as she walked up to and took a position on Crimson’s other side. “I, Lucia Gomez, will oversee this trail fairly and respectfully of those involved.”

Crimson nodded her acknowledgement of the other woman. “Mrs. Gomez, this is General Jhorn, leader of the Cyclopes. He has agreed to a temporary truce and to attend this trial in hopes that we can all have our questions answered. General, Mrs. Gomez is one of the eldest and most respected women in our community. She is fair and just. Do you each consent to the presence and responsibilities of the other?”

Sloan watched as they both gave each other a look once over. When they both seemed satisfied with what they saw, they nodded their agreement.

“Then I, Crimson Acker, leader of the Amazon tribe of Utah, relinquish the rights and responsibilities of this trial to Lucia Gomez.” With that, Crimson grabbed his hand and walked with him to stand by her sister.

Mrs. Gomez gestured for the general to follow her to the center platform. He moved through the crowd with caution, and with armed Amazon escorts. Whether the escorts were there to protect him from the tribe, or the tribe from him, Sloan wasn’t sure, but they eventually made it to the center of the court. The rest of the Cyclopes remained at the edges, seemingly ready to fight if things went wrong.

Mrs. Gomez spoke loud and clear over the gathering, letting everyone know who was now in charge of proceedings. “General Jhorn, please state your version of events leading up to this evening.”

The general spoke with confidence as if a hostile enemy didn’t surround him. “About a week ago, I received a phone call from an Amazon woman to inform me that the Amazons of this tribe were planning an attack on my people. I sent in a recon team to gather intelligence on whether this information was true. My men came back to tell me three of ours had been killed. When this was followed by another call from an Amazon, telling me it was a planned attack by your people, I saw it as an act of war and sent in a troop to test your defenses and inflict mortal damage to your people. When I lost more men yesterday, I was readying for a full-scale attack. That is when Miss Acker and Mr. Baptiste came to me this morning. It was both brave and stupid for them to approach me, so I listened to what they had to say. I still have my doubts, but I am here to find out the truth.”
