Luna doesn't show up for Thursday's class, which I think is both a relief and troubling. Addison is visibly glad not to have to see her. I can see her relax as the time clicks past three, then three-fifteen, three-thirty. But I'm concerned. I hope it's for another reason and not because of Addison. I don't want any of my students to feel like they can't come to class. I mean, Luna was straight-up bitchy the other day, no doubt about it. But today's a new day, and I was all set to welcome her back and try to move on. I hope she's not planning to make this a habit.

Addison reads her material with the confidence of someone who's finding her niche. And of someone who's glad the person with a low opinion of her efforts isn't here today. Addison's voice builds as she gives us another glimpse into her world.

"'His hand cracked across my skin," she read. "And what surprised me most wasn't the sound of his palm meeting my flesh, or that he did that in the first place. What threw me was that I liked it. I took the spanking, and for some reason, I felt empowered, like I made him want to act out all kinds of scenarios. He spanked me, but it was because I made him want to.'"

Jesus Christ.

"Now we're getting somewhere," I say when she's done. I’m not sure how comfortable I am with her writing about things that were obviously inspired by what the two of us are doing, but I’m also not going to discourage it – this is some of the best writing she’s done. And doesn’t every writer pull from their own feelings, their own experiences?

Plus it’s hot as fuck hearing her talk about it.

"Too much?" she asks, her eyes level with mine. My heart clenches.

"No. Not at all. It's got bite to it."

Addison looks thoughtful, like she's wondering if that's next, if she'll get bitten. I imagine biting the sensitive spot above her collarbone, bruising her delicate skin.

"Really," I say. "I think you're finally starting to tap into something real, here. You're finally breaking down your walls and really going for it. You'd been holding back, but this shows remarkable potential."

Addison grins like a Cheshire cat.

"Who knew you had that in you?" Tommy asks. "Wow."

"Proud of you, kid," I tell her. "Keep going with that. See where it takes you."

Addison looks like she wants to say more, but thinks better of it. "I will," she says. "I will."

After class, I head to my office, and I haven't even sat down yet when the rapping pattern I know sounds on the door. I invite her to come in, and she steps into my office gingerly, like she's not sure if the room will accept her or not. She’s wearing a dress made out of some kind of sweatshirt material – it’s supposed to look casual, but it hits just above the knee, putting those amazing legs of hers on display, and the fabric clings to the outline of her tits.

"I just wanted to say thanks," she says.

"For what?"

"For the encouragement today. I really needed it."

"It was genuine," I assure her. "I was really impressed with how raw you're starting to get. It's honesty like that that wins a reader over."

She's blushing, which I haven't seen in awhile. I forgot how adorable she is when her face turns red. She reaches for my hand, and I take it. The feel of her skin against mine is unbelievable.

Protect her. Keep her. Never let her go.

The emotion wells in my chest, emotion like I’ve never felt before, not for any other woman.

I kiss her lips softly before I can stop myself.

“Chase,” she protests. “Not.. I mean, someone could…”

“I can’t stop it,” I say honestly. “I can’t stop touching you, kissing you.”

I kiss her again, this time pushing my tongue into her mouth and sliding my hands up her back, pulling her body close to me so she’s sure to feel my erection against her stomach.

I want to take her right here, right in my office, want to bend her over and slide into her from behind.

“Bend over,” I say. “I can’t… Jesus, Addison, I can’t take it.” I push her down on the desk, yank the bottom of her dress up and push her panties to the side.

I slam into her from behind, not thinking about anything except how to satisfy this deep need I have for her.

She lets out that quiet little moan, and I pull her back against me, silencing her with a kiss.

“Can you be quiet, baby?” I ask .

She nods. “Yes, sir.”

“You have to be very quiet.”

She nods, her eyes serious.

I begin to fuck her, harder and harder. This is not romantic or drawn out, but it’s one of the hottest thing I’ve ever experienced. The softness of her skin, the tiny little sighs and moans she can’t help but make as I fuck her, here, in my office.

I have to keep kissing her, working my tongue in her mouth to make sure she keeps silent, my hand encircling her throat and squeezing gently as a reminder to stay quiet like a good little girl.
“Good girl,” I say in between kisses. “Good girl, stay nice and quiet while I fuck you, Addison.”

A second later, she convulses on my pussy, her orgasm roaring through her, and as her climax squeezes around my cock, I unload into her.

I’m still catching my breath when a knock sounds on the door.

“Shit,” I murmur, zipping up my pants as Addison pulls her dress down hastily.

Another knock sounds on the door and Addison takes a step back. "Come in," I call.

The door opens and Luna sticks her head in. "Oh," she says when she sees Addison's in here. "Sorry. I just wanted to tell you I'll be in class on Tuesday."

"Glad to hear it," I say.

Luna glances at Addison, then back at me before retreating. "See you next week, then."

“Do you think she knew what we were doing?” Addison asks once the door shuts behind Luna.

“No,” I say, even though I’m not sure if it’s true.

"So she's coming back." Addison sounds deflated.

"Did you think she was gone for good?" I ask, reaching over and taking her hand.

"I don't know. I hoped."

"Addison," I say. "You stuck up for yourself. You proved that you can do it. I'm not encouraging you to get into arguments every day we have class, but I think you can handle yourself. Don't stress over Luna being there, okay? Just do your thing. I won't make you two comment on each other's work for awhile. We'll let that whole thing die down."

"All right." Addison sounds somewhat convinced, which is a start. "And I don't want to get into arguments every time we're in class, either. I didn't even want to that time."

"I know."

"But you're right. I did manage to defend myself."

I try to meet her eye, but she's looking down. I tip her chin up until she’s looking at me, then kiss her softly on the lips. "Defending yourself is a good thing. Saying what you can really do. What you really want. Finding your voice."

"I know." Addison pulls away, then turns for the door. "I get it. I promise."

"Stop promising things to people."

She waves at me over her shoulder before letting the door shut.

I think maybe I got through to her.

A
DDISON

The next week goes pretty well. I keep up with my classes and go to one of Kensie's swim meets at Noland's Aquatic Center, where she kicks some ass in the team relay and the backstroke, placing well and sending her into a great mood for the forseeable future. I see Chase again, and am so full of feelings afterwards about the awesome sex we have that I waste no time sitting down with my laptop and pouring out my thoughts, transferring them into the mind of a fictional girl. Virgin to sex goddess in such a short time? Maybe I wouldn't go that far about myself... but I would for the girl character I'm writing, the one who’s discovering just how much she loves to be spanked.

Luna leaves me the hell alone, which I'm thankful for. She doesn't acknowledge me in class, but that means she doesn't roll her eyes or glower at me, either, so I'll take it.

I get to Chase's house on auto-pilot now, which is awesome, but it does leave me wishing for something. With all the writing I’ve been doing and all the sex we’ve been having, lately I’ve been wanting to ask him what it is we’re doing here. I know the sex is amazing, and he’s been nothing but nice to me, but sometimes, late at night, or when I’m writing, I start to think – no, I know – that I’m starting to fall in love with him.

"This is how I know I'm getting spoiled," I say, coming out of his marble bathroom to rejoin him on the bed. We've had sex twice today, and he made me call him "sir" again, and my butt is pretty red from the spankings. "I wish we could go out somewhere."

Chase looks at me with interest, propping himself up on his arm, his biceps and triceps flexing. Mmm. "Like where?"

"I dunno. Out of the house." I know that sounds bad, because most people would kill for a house like this to lounge around and have sex in every stunning room. "I just wish we could go out to eat or something, you know?" I want to add,
like a real couple,
but I don’t dare. Chase had never made promises to me like that, has never said anything about us being a couple, and as long as I don’t bring it up, I won’t have to hear him refute it.

I thought Chase would chide me, and remind me how risky that is, and that we just can't. But he gets this wistful look on his face and finally says, "Me too."

"Can we?" I ask. "I mean, maybe go out of town? It would be fun."

"Where would you want to go? Portland?"

"My family's in Portland," I mumble. It's a reflex, but Chase gives me a withering smile. "I mean, I know Portland is big enough that we probably wouldn't run into them. But a lot of people who go to the good restaurants know my parents."

"Good restaurants?" Chase laughs. "I was thinking maybe a burger."

"That would be amazing," I say, nestling into the crook of his arm. "I could go for a burger right about now."

"What about that place in Bridgewater?” he says, naming the next town over. “Duke’s?”

I think for a second. "You mean Drake's?" Drake's Burgers is owned by two disgruntled guys who flunked out of Noland. It's pretty much the only place in a fifty-mile radius that doesn't have rah-rah Noland Nighthawks and the college colors, dark green and blue, as a major part of their decor. In fact, there's a Noland N on the wall with a red cross-out symbol over it. "I forgot about that place."

Chase is looking it up his phone. "It's a decent ways out of town. We might just be okay."

He places his phone back on the nightstand and rolls back over on top of me, grabbing my arms and pinning them over my head.

His tongue slides down my neck and across my collarbone, his teeth nibbling at the sensitive flesh.

“Ahh,” I say. “That feels good.”

“How good?”

“So good.” I arch my back instinctually as my body responds to his, but I don’t want to get distracted. We’re supposed to be going out, and I’m not going to let anything jeopardize that. “But we’re supposed to be leaving.”

“One more fuck,” he says, flipping me over and sliding into me from behind. He grabs my arms and holds my wrists behind me, slaps my sore ass and plunges into my pussy. “I’ll be fast.”

He does as promised, fucking me hard and deep, until we both come again.

When we’re left spent and panting, he rolls over and kisses me softly.

We shower together, get dressed, and then take off for Bridgewater.

I want to squeal with glee riding in Chase's Range Rover. This is the first time we've ridden in a car together, and it feels incredible. Chase puts his hand on my knee, and the little town slips by out the window, and it feels so natural, like we're a real couple. When we pull up to Drake's Burgers, Chase jumps out and comes around to my side to open my door.

The burgers are mouth-watering, and looking around the place from our booth in the corner, I can't help the frustrated feeling that shoots through my happiness at being out with Chase. I know this is an anomaly. I hate that this has to be a treat, just stepping outside of the house together.

“What’s wrong?” Chase asks, looking at me with concern.

“Nothing.” I shake my head.

He sets his burger down and looks at me across the table. “Addison.”

I muster up my courage and decide to be honest. “I just.. I just love being here with you.”

“I love being here with you, too.” He reaches across the table and takes my hand. His hand is warm and comforting, and it lulls me into a false sense of security.

“But I can’t fully enjoy myself, because I know it’s not… I know I want…”

His handsome features cloud with disappointment, and he pulls his hand from mine. “Addison. I thought I was very clear with you from the beginning about what this was.”

“You were,” I say, fighting back the tears that are threatening to spill down my cheeks. “You were, I just…forget it, please, just forget I said anything.”

He sighs, and I get up to throw away my trash, not wanting him to see how humiliated I am.

I'm on my way back to the table when a small cluster of girls in black open the glass door.

That one behind the others, that's not--
shit.
It is.

"Hi, Chase!" Luna exclaims, and to his credit, he recovers quickly enough that I don't think she saw the streak of panic that flickered in his eyes. "With my non-writer peeps today."

The other girls in black look awestruck by Chase as he greets them politely. I can't help rolling my eyes, but inwardly, I'm calculating how to get the hell out of here. The restroom is on the other side of the restaurant, and I can't get there without walking straight in front of Luna. And naturally, they're hovering around the door. Short of crouching underneath a booth, I don't have anywhere to go.

Luna's black-rimmed eyes peel away from Chase and survey the place, stopping on me. Her face registers confusion, but she doesn't know I'm here with Chase... does she?

I decide to pretend I’m getting ice cream.

"Hey," I say, my legs somehow carrying me back toward the counter and past the booth I was just sitting in. "How's it going?"

Luna's eyes flick from me to Chase. "Lucky Chase, running into two of his students on his day off."

"Lucky Chase," I repeat. I give Chase the friendliest smile I can muster. "Good to see you."

Chase understands my silent message, offering me a quick wave as gathers up his own trash and heads for the door. "Good running into you, too. See you in class."

I order the ice cream, all thumbs as I nearly drop my wallet, and watch Chase's Range Rover pull away out of the corner of my eye. And then I get to sit down and listen to bits of Luna's conversation with her friends waft over for half an hour until they're done eating. I read a text from Chase.

Let me know when they're gone and I'll come get you.

I play on my phone for awhile, willing Luna and her group to leave, and when they finally do, she glances at me on her way out. I wave, but she just gives me a curt nod.

"How could I have been so dumb?" I wail when Chase returns a few minutes later. I shut the car door and fasten my seat belt. "Anyplace that's anti-Noland, or anti-anything? Luna's going to be all over it."

Chase's voice is tense, but he pats my leg. "I think we're okay. We left separately."

"Jesus," I mutter. "I can't believe I thought Drake's would be safe."

"We're all right." Chase is the picture of confidence as he changes lanes. "We're just fine. Don't worry about it."

The worry is there for both of us, though, and for the first time in, well, since I've known him, Chase doesn't try to make out with me while we're watching TV.

My heart is thudding when I enter our classroom on Tuesday afternoon. It's been drizzling all day, and my sweatshirt hood is pulled up over my head, but it can't hide my face. I don't look at Luna as I sit down, and I will myself to act cool. I also will Chase to act cool.

And he does. He doesn't miss a beat as he leads us into another session, delving deeper into characterization, and getting a discussion going on memorable characters.

When it's my turn to read, I almost chirp "No!" But I'm true to the story I'm writing, and if I try to read something different, I'll be questioned. I also don't
have
anything different. "I knew I could never catch up with him," I read. "He was so experienced, and I felt like some sort of failed nun sitting there with him on that leather couch. How many women had he fucked on this leather couch? I had no way of knowing, and he probably didn't either."
