Helena
wandered away from the her mate’s demonstration. She approached
Simon who was sitting on the rail outside the pub, in the shade of
the cootamundra wattle which was just starting to form its buds for
winter. “Can I ask you something Simon?”

Simon smiled,
he already knew her question and was more than pleased she was
ready. “If you really want to remember your past life on Sirius and
remember all that you are all you need to do is unpeel any
bitterness and pain from your soul and recover your innate joy.
There a many ways; hypnosis, timeline therapy and so on but I’d
suggest you use what you have on hand.”

“And what
would that be?”

“Yaguar. He is
powerful enough to call back the pieces of your soul that you lost
on your cosmic journey here. All you need to do is be willing to
let the accumulated junk go. Are you willing to do that?”

“You mean my
dad and all that. Yes I think I am. I realise now that he was the
product of his karma, DNA and the circumstances and events he was
born into. There for the grace of the all-spirit go I, so to speak.
Any spark of the all-spirit that manifested on this plane into that
set of program variables would have turned out the same. I will
never like what happened but I can no longer judge him without
judging myself and everyone else on the planet.”

“Well then,
you have your answer, go and retrieve the rest of your soul Blue
Star Goddess.”

Jamie waited
until the tall Russian woman left then he went to introduce
her/himself to the man. “Hi I’m...”

“Jamie Smith.”
He offered a hand. “Nice to meet you. I’ll take you over to Jnarn
later for you vaccination but take a seat for now.” He patted a
space on rail next to him. “Tell me all you know about Sakla and
his operations.”

The shy but
gorgeous brunette she-male Din-human hybrid smiled nervously and
took the offered seat in the shade. There really was no use hiding
anything from this man. Jamie, previously James, proceeded to
outline the basics of what the Malakim should know. They could go
over everything in more detail later. There was plenty of time now
that he’d be living here.

Away from the
hustle of the market Kit took her small, carefully wrapped bundle
and went to knock on Hideo’s door.

“Abe-san?”

“I told you to
call me Kit.”

Their old
formality had long gone but sometimes habit took over. “That you
did. What’s this?”

“A few things
you’re going to need.”

Curiosity
peaked Hideo unwrapped the bundle. Inside was a set of silken ropes
and a manual on Shibari. Hideo was a little taken aback. “Why Kit,
does Doc know you’re out propositioning me?” He asked worriedly,
not wanting to offend either her or her mate but truly he wasn’t
interested in them that way. They were his best friends but they
didn’t arouse him.

Kit didn’t
know whether to be amused or offended by the horrified look on his
face. She settled for amused. “It’s not for use on me silly.”

“I don’t
understand. Why would I want to learn the fine art of Japanese
bondage?”

“You will when
you meet Her. It’s long past time you got over your grief and
stopped mourning your wife. Let her go Hideo. Let some joy back in
your life. I’m going to start giving some basic lessons at the
clubhouse. When you’re ready come along and learn. I promise you
won’t regret it.”

“You’ve met
someone you think I’ll like. You playing matchmaker?”

Kit’s eyes
sparkled in mischief. “Might be.”

The spiritual paths of
the Malakim:

Right hand
path
- followed by those who pursue justice and fight to
protect the innocent, maintaining the balance of the universe.

Left hand
path
- followed by those who pursue enlightenment through
ecstasy, using shamanic and tantric practices. They use sound,
diet, herbs, yoga and a variety of disciplines to achieve
immortality, ascension and oneness with the all-spirit. Followers
of this path tend to be mages, guides and visionaries.

Middle
path
- the path of love and compassion, equanimity and joy.
Followers of this path tend to be healers. Capable of deep
communion with other beings, the earth and the elements.

Knowledge
path
- is what it says it is. Followers of this path tend to be
scientists, innovators, problem solvers and philosophers.

Earth
path
- the path of those who honor the earth and seek to serve
and aid those who protect it. They preserve the ancient rituals and
magic, using them to protect and heal the earth and others. They
also use practical means and tend to be environmentalists.

Chaos
path
- the path of rebels like Thomas. A dangerous winding path
pursued by individuals seeking individual empowerment but
ultimately leading them back to union with the all-spirit
anyway.

Beyond the
paths
- there are those, like Meta, John and Polemarch, who
have seen and understood the true nature of reality and no longer
need to pursue any path. They are no longer bound by any of the
rules or constraints of the lower dimensions. They find it
difficult to exist in the lower dimensions and must anchor
themselves to stay there, often using a soul or La stone which they
wear around their neck.
