Kerrigan
closed
the

and

his
way
down
the
hall
to
the
kitchen.
In
the

his
parents turned
to
look
at him
with
a
well, did
you

look
on
their
faces.

He leaned
against
the
counter,
conte

the
situation.

I have

he
ground
out.
He
shuddered
at
the
faint

of
unease
that
prickled
along
his flesh.
Eve

screaming
that
she
was
in

rather
than
being

“Son,

“You

She

to

Pad

to
the

fetched
the

She
gave

m

to
the
chair.

Defeated,
he
sat
in
the

leather chair.
“It’s
pointless
to

with

it

” She
grinned

his

Todd
pulled
up
a
chair
beside

The

to

Kerrigan
finished
chewing.
“Yes,

Todd
stared
into
his
son’s

tapping
his
claws
on
the
counter.

Why
did
it

It’s

Kerrigan
caught
the
anxious
look
between
his
parents.
Other

I

it’s

He
